Every planet in every sign gives bad results at a particular degree which is called as Mrityu Bhag (MB).
Yes the astrologer gave you correct info. Its not only Mars but Moon is also in MB.
But you need not worry as such planets never give death rather some problems in their dasha/antar dasha (Even it is not 100% fixed that you shall get problems).
Now even if we do not know astrology, we know life is never same and there are always ups and downs.
Just live your life and keep helping people, this is one of the best thing we can do in life.

Shash MP yoga is in natal chart.
Hamsa Yoga from Moon (This yoga automatically includes Gaj kesaro yoga)
Ruchak MP yoga is in D-9
