Thank you for the link and kind of definition of Amavasya Yoga.
I have a book by the late B V Raman with 300 of these combinations, but only took
their basic meanings and could not rely on them totally. It has to be looked into in
detail - as it effects varies for every chart according to so many factors. e.g. saying
that with that combination that one will have literary interests and writing skills is not
satisfying to me personally. The Moon, a karaka for the 4H in his chart - did he care
much for education ?
Have you noticed when the Moon is almost coming to New - from about less than 5 or 6 degrees ?,
and the closer it gets to the Sun, and on either side of 1 degree there appear mistiness caused by the
vapour produced by the Sun's heat and the watery nature of the Moon. At this time it loses a lot
of its efficacy. There is also a point when the Moon is said to be 'Void of Course'. Here it is said
to be null and void. Then 72 degrees on either side of the Sun, it is said to be a malefic Moon.
So interpretation has to be done with each individual case and taking into consideration all factors
prevalent in a chart.
I am glad that you observe all this detail and your interest in astrology.

may be it is due to fact sun lord of Trine in Trine ( 1st house) & moon lord of 8th ( moon & sun are free from being blemish of astmesh) & friendship bertween moon & sun ( being King & queen) on the top of it in Friend rashi ( jupiter) given
Dhirubai better results otherwise moon is combust ( some astrologers keep moon out of combustion theroy.

Yes, you are right, they do not speak of combustion of the Moon but only of other planets.
Even the combustion margins vary according to some theories but ,personally, I and some others think
that within six degrees distance the power of a planet is not spoiled.
Probably, the distance the Moon has in this chart is also not within the combustion point.
Also, the 1H is both a powerful Trikona and Kendra position.

Thanks for your answers and interest.
With Saturn and Mercury MD s it seems like you have got and will be getting
mixed results. They both own a good house and a dusthana each.

Your Rahu in 3H is not in isolation - and has the influences of other planets causing
him disturbances, firstly from Saturn in the 1H; and malefic Moon and Sun from the 9H.
The Sun is fallen in 9H and somewhat close to malefic Ketu.
Venus the best planet for the chart is owning the house of luck - 9H, and sitting in it, is
spoiled by the Sun which destroys its power, as it is in the same degree. Venus is the planet
of love, happiness, comforts, as you will know.

Rahu of the 3rd House is in the constellation of Venus and is not greatly helped by the weak power of
Venus when needed. Sometimes, life is mapped out by the heavens in such a way so as not to
give us what we want. Your MD of Venus will start in May 2022 but as Venus is weak, it will find
it difficult to give favourable results, unless you do spiritual remedial measures for these planets.
If you need spiritual remedial measures, pls ask.

Rahu is not in the best sign of Aries which it fancies. Rahu alone does not bring wealth, but the
rest of the planets too much be powerful. Your Rahu period will commence at the age of 98 years,
who wants it at that time.
Since you said that you are single -
Can I ask you : Have you never been married or, have any children or, had the experience of being loved ?

As Mercury owns a good 5H it should do you some favours.
You may pray to Lord Vishnu and recite the mantra.
When you come into Ketu period - it will be Lord Ganesha
For Venus, the best planet in your chart - for luck and blessings - Mahalakshmi Devi.
She is also your Ista Devata.

**DA HAD TO LEAVE HOME AT THE AGE OF SIXTEEN**

At the age of sixteen without concentrating on his education, DA left to Aden in Yemen at
the request of his father in order to work and help support the family. In India leaving the home
to go to another country - away from home - was and is probably considered an
unhappy event when loved ones have to break away from the fold. Nowadays, it may be thought
differently, with probably changing times and values.
This happened sometime around 1948 in the Moon/Rahu planetary period. DA returned home after
10 years in the Mars/Jupiter period and was able to start on his first business project with I.Rs15,000.00
which he saved up in addition to sending money home.
There is always a price to pay in the malefic Rahu period either in the form of sacrifice, hardship, or hidden
or open health/disease problems of some sort, which is confirmed by reknowned authorities.
It is common knowledge that Rahu and also Ketu, known as functional malefics, do well in the 3H, 6H, 10H
& 11H - which are the Upachaya Houses. Here the native projects oneself, has good power of resistance,
will go out of their way to achieve their purpose of life and possess a strong desire to gain in areas of the 11H
affairs, respectively.
It is to be noted that functional malefic Rahu works best when left in total isolation and he is always dependent
on other supporting strong and favourable planets in one's chart.

**FUNCTIONAL MALEFIC RAHU IS WELCOMED IN DA'S CHART**

All planets have their friends and welcome them in their respective signs. This does not necessarily
mean that Rahu is functional benefic in friends' signs. Rahu does play havoc in friends' signs and
more havoc in unfriendly signs. The friends of Rahu are : Saturn, Venus and Mercury.
In DA's chart Rahu is welcomed in Aquarius and even more welcome since it is a Upachaya 3H where
malefics/functional malefics are welcome.
The other signs where functional malefic Rahu is welcome are : Capricorn, Taurus, Libra,
Gemini and Virgo. And, if these signs happen to fall in the 3H, 6H, 10H & 11H (Upachaya Houses)
then Rahu seems to be more welcome, but by no means can Rahu be called a 'functional benefic'.
It is said that Rahu has no sense of logic nor reasoning ability.

Ur listing planets on brightness is a news to me.As the earth is centre of human activity&
Sun is omnipresent bright.Then comes venus , a morning star.Moon depending on paksha balam,Then Angharaka.
After that Jupter &lastly sani was given the place.Nowhere Budha was given.There is a dictum in Brihat jataka
"Budha prakaso,Jagat aprakasaka" when budha shines well to the naked eye the world will perish.
Rahu/ketu of course are just points in space&rightly called "Chhayaa grahas"

I can see what you mean because it is always spoken of inner and outer planets from earth.

Venus joins her mutual friends Mercury and Saturn as usual. She own 6H and 11H -

I thought it pertinent to mention in this topic of a Great Musical Legend - John Lennon (Beatles)
who died at a comparatively young age. It is his Birthday today - 09th October. If he was
alive, John would be 72 years of age.
He has a different type of Kubera Yoga where his Rahu is exalted in Ascendant Virgo with Sun and Mars.
Probably, the presence of Rahu exalted, and Sun in his 1H gives him this glory that is remembered
to date even after his death.
It will be my next case study after I have done some more work on Dhirubai Ambani's Chart.

DA's Main Chart Rising Degree - 1.36 degrees in Dhanu

This is the Most Effective Point in this chart. Júpiter is roundabout
this strongest point in the chart and has had a special effect being
well placed in the 10H of Career/Life Purpose. Usually it is interpreted as a weak
planet - in infancy - but this degree is significant for this chart and
seems to be the main benefic planet that gave him tremendous success

I have Rahu in 3rd house in pisces and presently under Rahu MD.
My Rahu MD have generally yielded bad results for me since i am sufering from many health issues.
Stomach problems and acid reflux disease from past two years.
Fatty liver problem from last 2-3 months. Having asthma from childhood.

Also financially i am not too strong only working as an software professional in an organisation.

to access an astrology program whilst on a break. Hope you understand.

As you will see from this example chart, Rahu alone does not do wonders unless many
conditions are met for Rahu, Other important factors in the char talso need to play a big part for
the individual´s success and for Rahu to get strong drive in a chart from the 3H.

Rahu in Pisces - to start with is not a desirable sign for favourable performance of Rahu.
However, there are other reasons which your chart will reveal upon analysis.
In the meantime, please let me know if you wear any gemstones and
what your daily religious practices are ?

Thanks for your reply.
You are presently running the Rahu/Mercury period from
07.04.12 to 25.10.14.
You are under the MD of a functional malefic Rahu, and Mercury is a benefic for this chart.
Mercury is retrograde in natal chart at 21.55 degrees in the nakshatra of Júpiter 10H.
Mercury is also combust and is therefore not producing good results in this period or any Yoga present.
So you need to energise the weak benefic planet Mercury.
Rahu is 25.11 degrees in the nakshatra of Mercury in 3H.
Sun is also weak and is the most malefic planet of this chart and has na effect on one s health and vitality.
Júpiter is another functional malefic for this chart owning 12H.
At presente functional malefic Júpiter is transiting Gemini in 6H and afflicting natal Mercury in 10H by aspect.
So houses 6 and 9,and its significations of Gemini and Virgo are being affected which is temporary and
hence your recente complaints.
Gemini - 6H has been affected from early days in life due to weakness of Mercury and hence the breathing
and respiratory problems.
Mercury is in the nak of malefic Júpiter and during transits malefic influences are triggered.
Your 10H is transited at presente by Saturn and Rahu and add to the adverse effects on weak Mercury.
Mercury is not strong enough to fight back and protect the significations of its houses.
Propitiation of planets Sun, Saturn, Rahu, Júpiter and Mercury are recommended.

You have a good Yoga in the 10H caused by Venus and Mercury but has difficulty in fructifying
due to weakness of Mercury.
Venus will give good results, particularly in the Rahu/Venus period. First attend to your health
conditions and then the marriage prospects will follow favourably in this period.

For remedies, please go to my post on Mantras for planets in this fórum and do mantras -108 times each
for Rahu and Mercury daily, with fewer repititions for the other planets. Pray to the respective
deities in specific. I am glad you worship lord Hanuman and other deities and wish you combine it to
have more stronger effects.

I have started doing the remedies as prescribed by you in the mantras section of your post.
I will keep you updated about my health conditions by practicising these remedies.
As i read from your post that these health conditions are temporary ones and might get eliminated if remedies are done, so i guess it will be a great help for me to chant those mantras for Rahu and Mercury .

Sun is karaka for health is weak , Saturn is your Lagna Lord and Jupiter is
functional malefic for your chart. Even one to nine mantras daily for
other planets, besides 108 for Rahu and Mercury will cover you alround.
You could light only one tealight or dhiya, with care, daily.
Your 6H Gemini - house of thefts, debts, illnesses, enemies - is weak from
birth and this has had a long term effect as Mercury is combust. Strengthening Mars, the karaka of 6H,
will be advisable.

In the Rashi chart Rahu is in 7th house with Jupiter(in Pisces) but in Navamsa it is in 3H Scorpio (debilitated).

She has just started her Me/Ra dasha and is looking to get married and also start her own internet based business (efforts are underway). I am not sure if Rahu is benefic in her chart but what in your opinion can be expected?
