Hi all,

really enjoyed reading this thread today as I am very much a part of the esteemed group- Rahu in 12th, Moon in leo, Rahu mahadasha since end 2006, so running sade saati alongside until very soon when saturn moves to libra. (29-apr-1977; 2100; Delhi)

Effects:
1) moved abroad- 12th rahu,
2) left a permanent govt job in India, despite best credentials, no success in job abroad, Now a housemaker despite being a topper throughout, Started learning astrology in mid 2008- my greatest saving grace.
3) Had my daughter in rah-jup
4) Rah- rah-- no income at all, marital relations went downhill though not seperated, no success in job search abroad
5) Rah- jup-- some income despite not actively working, marital relations back to normal, daughter born
6) Rah-sat-- finally, job termination(on unpaid leave until then), more satisfaction at home front

Rahu-Rahu was the most challenging for me as I experienced things that I had never experienced ever before in life- like sitting at home 24x7, no job/income - very difficult for a fiercely independent person like me; discord in marital relations- just daily fights over nothing! ; away from my parents and siblings- very unpleasant cause of the strong bond we share; issues with health- problems with head scalp, allergies etc- all which have no known medical cause or treatment.

In the antardasha of jup and sat, things have been better -- more on the pattern of their antardashas in previous mahasdashas. though issues with health are still a concern.

Biggest turning point- reading astrology on my own with some valuable help from my mom and sis. I never ever aimed to do this but it just happened as if Rahu wanted me to do this The last time before this that I read palmistry for a short while was in my Moon-Rahu. In Mars- Rahu, I got into the company of a psychiatrist, had some interesting time learning new things, arranged lots of talks and awareness programmes for college students. So quite some pattern there!!! I am now completely off my area of specialization now, in which I have completed my Mphil and holds 7 yrs experience in teaching.

Rahu is also my atmakaraka. So there have been some very hard lessons that I had to learn alongside too. Though I am still not comfortable with them. But after reading astrology, I realized that the sooner I accept them the better!!!

Dear Vazu:

Rahu is placed in your 10th house and you are currently undergoing a somewhat troublesome Rahu Mahadasha. Rahu is placed in U.Bhadra (saturn's) nakshatra. Saturn is known to control haywire nature of Rahu hence a somewhat troublesome dasha. Saturn is retro in your chart, hence possibility of having frequent troubles over calm period in the dasha is more likely.

Currently, you are running Ra-Mer dasha. Mercury is your lagnesh, it is also a friend of Rahu and usually this dasha gives excellent financial gains, good career prospects, as well as marriages. In some cases it also gives raj yoga.

Lagnesh is placed in mooltrikona and in own house but is retro. Ideally speaking you should have gained and benefited in this antadasha. However, you Lagnesh is trapped between 3rd and 6L and suffers from Kendraadhipatya dosha. Under current transit, Mercury is under vedha and can cause financial losses, mental stress and domestic disputes.

10L Jupiter is placed in 11th house of financial gains, which indicates good financial returns through career. Venus is own house but in 12th house of financial loss and foreign places. Chances of earnings away from the native place is high.

Mercury bhukti will end in March 2012 and then you will start Ketu bhukti. Ketu is placed inimically in your rasi chart and was transiting through your lagna till June 2011 hence may have increased frustrations and struggles. Ke is currently transiting through your 12th house of financial losses. Ra-Ke dasha with current transit will increase mental agony, distress, and losses till May 2012. Some relief will be obtained after May 2012 when Jupiter will join Ketu. Some job opportunities may come around June 2012 although they may not pay you as per your liking or credentials. Venus antardasha may be best for positive prospects in job, effects will be seen from Dec 2012 or Jan 2013.

Remedies:
1. Read Vishnu Sahasranamam
2. Recite Kunjika Stotram everyday and perform Shiva abhishekham on Saturdays.
3. Fast on Saturdays and do not consume garlic or onion. It is best if you observe Saturday fast till the end of Rahu MD.
4. It is also good if you start Ganpati worship before the onset of Ra-Ke dasha. Recite Ganpati Sankastnasham stotram everyday.

Hello Explorings,

I am the regular follower of this Rahu mahadasa thread

please analyse my uncle's chart . He was born into a rich family. he enjoyed comforts until his parents death. He inherited property and jewellery and cash also. But at the moment he is not having shelter and wandering in different places and depends on his siblings for food and shelter. He married to a lady against the family members wish. The lady didn't respect him and the lady's main motive for marriage is to get the property from him. But it didn't go through with the interference of his brothers. So she kicked him from home. When the rahu mahadasa started in 2001 he met with an accident and his leg was broken .He is having a house in the prime area worth about rs.1 crore and his share of another site is also rs 1 crore. But the most sad thing is he doesnot have a penny to buy food also and living on the mercy of his sisters.

Vidyaji:

Rahu/Ketu are placed in Bharani (Venus)/Swatu (Rahu) along the 6/12 axis. Bharani is inimical nakshatra for Rahu furthermore, moon (enemy of Rahu) is placed in 12th house. Ra MD starts from Nov 6, 2011, means this Sunday... you should be experiencing some effects already. It will be a somewhat troublesome Ra MD unless relief is provided by planetary transits. Are you feeling some restlessness, uneasiness, or are you currently away from your native place?

I am not exactly sure what you wanted to know about your Ra MD... so I shall give a general overview. The dasha will be similar to your moon dasha (1993 - 2004). It will take you away from your native place. Chances of settling in a particular place or job for a long time is unlikely. Sudden changes in career as well as relationships is possible, which will be beyond your control. Separation from near and dear ones under forced circumstances. Friends will turn into foes. Backstabbing and general mental frustrations will be high. Few Antardashas will be beneficial and may give you some relief these are Jupiter (also exalted in chart) and venus (LL in own house). You may verify if Jupiter and Venus AD during Moon MD were good or bad. Of course all this is very general and detail analysis will be required depending upon the transitory positions.

Jupiter is currently transiting through your 12th house. This is a good transit for Jupiter and you may have been traveling frequently for work or pleasure. Saturn will be entering Libra. Saturn controls haywire nature of Rahu. Any uneasiness, etc. caused by Rahu will be tamed from November 15 onwards. Thus, first two and a half year will not cause much mental agony to you due to the presence of benefic Jupiter and exalted Saturn. November 15 onwards you may get excellent job or career opportunities and additional responsibilities. Dec 2011 onwards again responsibilities will change/increase as Ra/Ke will transit over your natal Ra/Ke however, you need to take care of your health. Troubles may increase in relationships and in domestic front (again I do not know the exact problem).

I personally feel the problems or frustrations in Ra MD will start mostly in Mercury AD. Overall, Ra-Mer, Ra-Ket, Ra-Moon, and Ra-Mars may be troublesome unless the transit provides some relief. Confinement/Stability in a particular place/job will be mostly during Ra-Saturn and Ra-Sun period otherwise pretty much you are gonna be on a spin around the world. Career wise this MD is good.

You need to take care of your health. Drive carefully... chances of accidents will be high. Do not take any impulsive decision before proper consideration.

Remedies:
1. If you can get Durga Honam done.
2. Durga Saptashati Stotram everday
3. Light lemon lamps with ghee or mustard oil during Rahu Kalam as many times as possible.

Can you throw some light on whether my Rahu MD due to commence March 2012 will be favourable or challenging. Rahu in 9th in Taurus with Jupiter in 10th, Moon in 8th in Ashwina, Mars & Venus in 4th, Mercury & Ketu in 3rd, Sun debilitated in 2nd, Saturn in 6th in aquarius. (Ascendant Virgo)

While Rahu is in Rohini, constellation of the Moon, will its dispositor Venus in the 4th result in Rahu being similar to Venus dasa?

Exalted Saturn transit may bring happiness on both professional as well as personal front. Health related issues will disappear early 2012.

I read an interesting article on this forum where the native was also amidst Ra MD and was suffering from a skin related issues. The native was wearing Turquoise and has seen relatively lot of benefits since then.

My moon dasha was mixed , i left India in 1994 july . but in 2000 again I changed country and I came to USA.
sep 2009 - till july 2011 was worst period of my life, i lost my mother and i had always marriage related problems. but from this July I suddenly feeling calm and I feel situation in my control . May be it is saturn and Jupiter transit.

I thought of that possibility but this 7th/1st house transit of Ra/Ke are in their respective debilitated signs hence their tantrums caused in relationships is comparatively less. In any circumstances, blessings of Jupiter will overrule and protect her. Any disturbances on domestic front will be extremely minor and non-trivial. Jupiter's next transit in May 2012 will be in the sign that Ketu is presently in... thus even the minor activities /disturbances caused by Ra/Ke in their debilitated signs will completely diminish with presence of Jupiter. The next transit of Rahu after Dec 2012 will be tamed by exalted Saturn... thus she does not have to worry much in matters of relationships for the first few years of Ra MD. I personally feel her problems of Ra MD will start in Ra-Mer any problems before that will be due to transit effects and will be sorted off easily.

To my understanding, Ra/Ke pair and Saturn are karmic planets and spare no one at any age.
