previously also you have helped me in giving a correct insight, today i am bothering you again...my older sister is very much stressed regarding the marriage of her daughter the details are as below..DOB:10.1.1985, TOB;8:42AM, POB: DELHI, ...She has been looking for suitable match for her for the past 2 years but to no avail, can you please look into her chart and let me know the time period for her marriage...is she a manglik ??? should she only marry after 28years of age....please help...charun

Dear To all those who ask me about their navamsa,

Here are some general combinations in navamsa regarding married life.

1) Navamsa lagna aspected by a benefic can give a happy married life.
2) Navamsa lagna lord aspecting navamsa is a good combination for a peaceful married life.
3) If navamsa lagna and navamsa lagna lord are vargothama then, ur spouse will be very adaptable.
4) It is better to have a navamsa lagna with a subhakartari yoga which will help u to tide through any difficulty.
5) Benefics in the 5th or 9th to navamsa lagna indicates that u r handsome.
6) If navamsa lagna happens to be 9th or 12th to the janma lagna, physical needs may be very high.
7) If navamsa lagna is associated with many malefics, there could be extra-martial relationships.
If the lord of 3 or 6 or 7 or 10 is posited in the 7th to navamsa lagna ur spouse may have a career in law.
9) venus in the 7th to navamsa lagna indicates disharmony in marriage.
10) If the lord of 7th in rasi is in 6 or 8 or 12 to navamsa lagna, married life may not be pleasant.
11) If the lagna lord or the 7th lord are associated with incendiary planets, then there could be separation.
12) Conjunction of Moon and venus and if one of them is debilitated, there will be no happiness from marriage.
13) If the 5th from the navamsa lagna is occupied by Jupiter and venus, u could get ravishing beauty as ur wife.
14) If the 7th happens to be the house of saturn and if malefic are in it, the spouse could look old or it could be a second marriage.
15) If venus is in the amsa of Mars or in the house of saturn without any benefic aspect, there could be sexual perversions.
16) If venus is in the navamsa of Moon, the whole married life will be full of problems.
17) If the 7th lord conjuct with the 6th lord and also venus, there will be separation or divorce.

These are general principles and should not be taken verbatim. Pls also consider the aspect and conjunction of other planets before coming to a conclusion.

A quick question: The benefic would be functional benefic for Rasi chart or for Navamsa chart ? I mean lets say lagna in Rasi chart is Aq Jupiter could be functional benefic?

However if Lagna is different in D charts, should we change the functional benefic for those charts ?

I hope, I am able to make myself clear----if not I would come with example.

This question also leads me to ask few more-----------lets say we need to understand resouces/ wealth of spouse----which means 2nd house to 7th House. Now, do we consider the 7th House as lagna and proceed looking as normal chart ? If yes, do we change the functional benefic's w.r.t to 7th house as lagna---?

Dear charun,

yes she is a manglik.but that alone is not the cause for delay.the dasa is of sun . he is the 8th lord in rasi and also he is placed in the 6th in navamsa.there will be some delay.regular prayers to sun god can get her married soon. once her sade sati is over a window for marriage might open between nov this year and may next year.

but my personal advice is that she should wait for a couple of years.

I need you advice regarding marriage. Of late I am giving this a lot of thought and do want to settle down. I have one apprehension though, I am a product of a broken family and I do not want to suffer the same fate. That is why I am a bit hesitant as well.
I want to know how will my marital life fare?
If there are any doshas/ obstacles in marrital life, Please tell the pariharas for the same.

Dear Abishek,

Marriage is on the cards in the second half of 2012. An independent person with leadership skills and a slightly domineering attitude seen. Dont read this as a dominating attitude.

The propitiation u need to do to scale thro the first few years of marriage is for Saturn. After that it will be smooth. Pls read the Shanaischara stotra by sage Dasharatha daily after lighting a lamp with sesame oil and facing West daily.

Can you also tell me about my marriage lyf?? and when shud i get married....i read ur readings abt navamsa....where it is stated that venus in 7th navamsa brings disharmony in marriage? i have venus in 7th in gemini.....and the 7th lord is in mercury......and 1/7 axis rahu/ketu.....Does that mean RAmanan ji my marriage will not be successful??? i m still unmarried and if there is sepration in my chart,,,then i shud not marry....??? Dear Princess of solitude,

Do not feel bad.Your chart has some issues regarding relationships.the conjunction of two planets inimical to each other in lagna where moon the mano karaka is in debility.

In the navamsa chart there is an affliction to the lagna seven axis by the nodes as you have rightly pointed out
and venus occupies the seventh to navamsa.here venus is the sixth lord and his occupying the seventh does not help relationship matters.

I will suggest a propitiation to you.every morning make it a point to prostrate at the photo of your mother before going out.chant mahalakshmi ashtakam in the evenings.Before starting these two perform a full fledged chandhra homa in a shiva temple on a sukla paksha monday.Things will fall in place.Be patient,

The lord of 7th has gone to the 12th in the rasi chart. In navamsa the 7th lord mars has gone to the badhakasthana and is conjoined badhakesh Sun and Saturn.

Now, from your Rasi Lagna the 7th lord is transiting the 2nd house means that from the 7th house he is actually transiting the 8th. You have to wait till saturn goes to libra.

As a propitiation pls. fast every saturday and light 9 lamps for saturn with gingelly oil daily and chant the shani portion of Vyasa's Navagraha stotra 9 times facing west.

Dear Ramanan sir,

My daughter is very young but I feel that she might have a few issues with respect to marriage starting that she might have Chevai Dosham. I am looking to teach a few slokas/stotrams for her that she might learn that will help her in the long run. Right now she has learned Hanuman Chalisa and Shani Gayathri. I intend to teach her Kanda Sashti Kavacham, Aditya Hridhayam and Sri Vishnu Sahasranamam.
