Good Day Shilpaji,

Here is my son's birth details.

DOB: 9th October 1988
TOB: 2.40 PM
POB: Chennai, Tamilnadu, India

He, after completing 12th here, in India, went to aussie during feb 2007 but could not complete his degree and returned to India during feb 2011. Now he is not interested in continueing his studies here. He wants to do some degree/diploma in service industry in abroad. He wants to go to canada..

Will he complete his studies , and if so at what level? will he study in abroad and get a job?

so let us look at the higher education part i.e graduation and above

-- 9th House has lord Me exalted therein, but combusted.

this implies eventually successful completion of graduation or equivalent but with hurdles

--5th house lord of intelligence/ intellect/ creativity is Venus.... afflicted by Ketu in the enemy sign. This will take's native's focus away from pure academic pursuits.

Moving the Birth time back by 32 seconds.....the Ascendant is in Pisces

--4th Lord Me is aspected by the 9th lord Mars indicating that he will complete grduation or equivalent

--Moon is debilitated in the 9th house, indicating wavering mind...loss of focus in completion of graduation or equivalent. Hwoever he will complete it.

--9th house has moon seated in it and aspected by Venus....hospitality industry, creative designs, fashion designs are the type of areas where he may do well.

--the Rasi chart shows struggles in career as 10th Lord Venus is afflicted, however Dasamsa is much stronger with 10th Lord shani in own house and conjunct with exalted Mars.
I believe after initial struggles he will establish himself well in his career.

-He is running Ra-Jup period. Rahi is the karak for foreign residence and is also in his own Nakshatra. Rahu is strong and psotive for him and Jup is the Lord of 12th house of foreign residence / foreign connection.

I do think that he may be able to succesfully go abroad for more educations.

--Shukradev is who he needs to appease throuhg prayers, fast, mantras starting immediately is my suggestion.

hats off to your brilliant analysis for D-24 chart.can you tell the educational prospects of the following native. she had exalted mercury in ninth house and venus and sun in second house in D-24 although unconnected.she is daughter of my friend. at present she is brilliant in her studies.has lot creative energy. will she be able to tide the postgraduation and doctorate level.

--9th and 12th Lord Me is exalted

--11th Lord Sun is in his own house

--3rd and 6th Lord Jupiter is exalted in the 10th house

--Ketu is also in his own house and in the Nakshatra of exalted Me.

--Me and Jup the karak's of learning and wisdom are in a very high amsabala of 5 each

--Moon, Rahu and shani are resonably friendly in her chart.

--don't worry about her at all...this is a chart marked for great achievements in academics and career. Leave her to be herself...she will go a long way and quite high....most likely strong overseas stay also.

Venus in the 9th in his own house
and sun in 10th along with Mars both in their digbala house aspected exalted Jup and Moon from swakshetra...are great placements for career....lucky and will take you to the top in yuor job

have no doubts!

You are running Sun-Ve period..which are natural enemies...and are placed 2-12 from each other...and running close to each other often times Venus is combust in transit.

the mutual enemy relations and 2-12 placement of the MD-AD lords are hurdles delaying the fructification of the ineviatbly certain yogas.

such hurdels do not stop the promise of the strong Venus and Sun and Jup and Moon in the chart....it's a matter of time and finding a right trigger.

I think at the latest the trigger might come when Venus transits over your natal venus starting 5th october......fructification could come anyday, anytime earlier also.

Have faith....you will not be denied.

If possible start fasting on fridays and praying to shukradev every-days.

Thank you Shilpaji. Venus is also Retro in my chart. Does that make it worse? Actually my entire venus MD was not that great. Very difficult childhood and lot of struggles.

Will I get a good job or will it be okay type and will have to change again next year. Moon MD is starting next year so there may be a potential change right?

a retro planet is the one that is assoicated with multiple theories.

I believe retrogradation gives strength to the planet.......cheshta bala......full 30 points.....whihc contributes to the overall shadbala of the planet.
in manifestation a retrograde planet offer an alternative persepective and depth in matters of it's karkatwa.
for exmaple a Ve-R will give you an alternatively diffrent way of dressing....or handling relationships.


On the job-itself...you may change a few times...but have no worries......you career will be bright and successful....

It's been a while I visited this forum but this just caught my eye. I have invested an entire year trying for a PhD and I could not get funding and had to let go of the seat offered to me. I am very disappointed as this was the final one last try for anything in my career.

I have completed a post graduation in UK and had higt hopes of PhD this year, it did not work out. I doubt I have energy to try again but curious to see what's in my chart.

As per Your T.O.B. the navamsha lagna shifts in 5 seconds to Taurus. So it would be risky to assess the D9. two things strike me in the D1 - The 9th lord, though involved in a DK yoga is not in a Kendra from the Lagna. It is in kendra only from Chandra.

2 key planets gave you trouble by failing at the last minute. Budha (2nd and 11th) and Kuja ( 4th and 9th) are in bad Avastas. I feel this is the important factor for the PHD not comming through

we know you have done PG..so we need to match the known events and get a rectified time:

--Moving birth time back by 3 minutes and 29 seconds...the D24 Asc is now Virgo

--4th lord is Jup in own house

--9th lord is Ve in Gemini....4th and 9th lords are in mutual kendra and aspect......very easy transition from primary to completion og grad.

--2nd and 9th Lords are Venus!.....smooth and eay transition from Grad to post-grad and it's compeltion.

--7th Lord is Jup......in it's own house and in mutual Kendra and aspect with the 2nd Lord Venus.

Taking the BT as 2:58:31....and given the strenth of Jup, one of the the karaks for knowldege....I believe you should be able to complete the PhD, if you try to.
