Lakshmi Mantra

Respected Astro Gurus,

Could you guide on the best Lakshmi Mantra that one can recite for x-number of times daily? By the way, by best mantra what I am alluding to is the rampant confusion a reader faces due to availability of different version of Lakshmi mantras available online.

For instance, this is what I have found online, but I am not sure if this is the correct one.

Your inputs will be greatly appreciated.
The question is two-fold: One - which Mantra, and 2nd, how many times recitation required?

Dear Iluvindia,

the two lines you have given here is not a mantra but a portion of a sloka on lakshmi by indra.

The mantra for maha lakshmi ji is

aum shreem mahalaksmi namo namasthuthe.

chant it 108 times daily both in the mornings as well as in the evenings.

Hi Ramanan Sir,

One more question. I just realized that the Beej Mantra for Lakshmi is different than the recommended by you.

"Om Rim Shrim Lakshmibhyo Namah"

I am just curious to know as to what is the difference in the mantra suggested by you and the Beej Mantra and which one is preferable. Or is that the Beej Mantra has to be taken from a Guru and this mantra can be recited by anybody; just guessing..

Apart from Beejmantra, you can recite Mahalakshmi astottaram and Mahalakshmi Astakam. They are simple and not long ones.
