Kandhan ji,

I am learning Jaimini and I follow K N Rao. Whatever little calculations I have done with Chara Dasha, it has given good results. But, as you say, whichever applies. I don't know it much so not yet qualified to comment.

No need of cadre either.:D I'm trying to switch to academics. By Parashari my work life shows multiple activities. What does Jaimini show?

just basic one thing about 10th house that you probably know well . moon in Cancer. nature of moon-instability. for ex. take my case: moon in 4th. never stayed in a house for more than 4-5 yrs at a stretch after i got out on my own.
but lets wait for inputs from learned members.

I work for the city govt. i.e Nagar Nigam. It is transferable but the transfers and postings are all within the metropolis of Kolkata. The Municipal Govt. has at least 200 offices all over the city.

My paying job is with the govt. But my little bit of name and fame is due to my activities in military and strategic studies and military history. Do you think Mars and Sun has anything to do with this? In my chart Mars and Sun aspect each other by Rashi drishti but neither aspect the A10. Why is this?

Coolant ji,

Forget Arudhas, you have Moon, ketu, rahu, mars and Jupiter associated with your 10th house. Too many planets influencing the 10th makes you a jack-of-all trades and makes you versatile. I believe affliction to the natural 4th house by rahu, ketu, and mars has given you the heart ailments. Jupiter's aspect to it will save the day eventually. Do you have a dodgy knee too?

Juiters aspect scuttles the day for me. All my serious troubles have been in Jup ADs. Guru acts like a rogue for me. Nothing else is dodgy and even with this heart I can run a full km. It just struck out of the blue.

Yeah in his ADs he acts like an 8th lord, while otherwise his aspects do good to you.

Chaksji, Guru periods will not be good as it is conjunct Rahu in navamsa. Alternatively in Rahu periods Swamycoolji will have Guru like effects after Martian effects of Rasi have been completed.

Having said that other than Guru periods, Guru will always save the day for him.

I think the tangible places and its types to look for in relation to work is more to do with A4 in D-10 and influences upon A4.

It is in martian sign Aries there and hence my miscalculation by looking at moon in Rasi.

Sonu uses surya siddhanta, so he gets Rahu conjunct Guru in the Nav. If you use Drik, you will get Guru conjunct a deb venus. But Guru is still the 3rd and 6th L in my chart and sits in a Marak H. His periods sure show such effects.

Swamycoolji - Yes Post June 95 is Ketu-Jup in vimshottari. Shows disappointment at work with malefic troubles from all sides, as during that period, jupiter will not be able to protect, because Rahu the impressionable has taken over jup qualities as its own.

First half Ketu-Rahu in 95 shows dissapointment with the nature of work and the team members taking your credit etc types of problems.

Narayana Dashs shows problems Post May 95 at work. So, to conclude 2nd half of 95 was troublesome for you at work with malefic influences at work from all sides.

Yeah, right. I meant he acts like your 6th lord and typed 8th instead. In the navamsa (drik) he is the lagna lord and aspects your lagna from the 7th, which is another saving grace. I always believe Jupiter's aspects are good irrespective of his lordships. In his periods though he would give good or trouble in par with his lordships.

Ok now the story. Actually in 1995 I was not working. I had just entered my 2nd year in MA. My father died in March 1995. That year I also cleared the CDS Exams (Combined Defence Services - at par with IAS but Military). Always wanted an army career and had prepared myself physically and mentally. However when the call for the final interview came, one idiot Mausa (uncle) convinced my mom that passout officer cadets are invariably sent to Kashmir or North East for their first posting. I am the only son. My mother threw a fit. Any other time I wouldn't have paid any heed to her. But I couldn't refuse my recently widowed mother. So dropped the idea and didn't go for the interview. Would have made a full Colonel by now or be dead. Both would have been ok. :mrgreen:

Swamycoolji,

there is no denying that there was full chance of what you wanted to be. Sun+Mars combo can make you that, specially when in influence with 10th lord innavamsa. But here is the key. As I said you were running Cancer AD post May 95 in narayana dasha. Ketu sits in 10th and is also karkaa for mistakes.

You have been running Cancer MD since 2002. :mrgreen: one more such mistake is due in Cancer-Cancer which is post 26-10-2011. :P

you are better off without the army. there the promotions nowadays are decided by your makeup skills(how to dress up your jawans as Pakistani jawans in a fake encounter), not leadership qualities.

such thing as profession has to be predetermined. what you perceive(did i hear Sonuji sit up) as missed opportunity may not be so in actuality.

The dasa period cancer-cancer doesn't seem to match well with the actual events of life. Pls ask swamykool and he will tell you. It is not post 10-2011. It already happened on 13-aug-2010. :D

Are you quite sure that Ketu is the karak for mistakes? I knew Rahu to be the karak for mistakes - by being too clever by half. :mrgreen:

I don't know how to use Narayana Dasha. So what kind of mistakes do you foresee? Work related, marriage or affair related? (10th being the 4th fr 7th) And how long does this Cancer-Cancer last?

Btw, I was a bit surprised that you made such a brilliant deduction but you missed the connection to politics. I was heavily into politics, taking a bit of a sabbatical for now. But will resume again.
