Mr.Deepak,
There is a saying in tamil about Jyeshta : "Kettai Kottai aalum" meaning Jyeshtra nakshatra persons will rule the Fort.
You have specifically mentioned that Jyeshta born have service mentality(or are meant to serve). Does it mean that they will not rise to high positions in life? Or is it again just one aspect that we need to consider along with other features in the horoscope.
THanks,
Balajhi

Jeyshta is a tough Nakshatra . The moon continues to be in debilitation here . Not only debilitation .... he also gets into a Gandanta Nakshatra . And who rules Jyeshta ? Its non other than Budha himself . What do you think will happen when Chandra sits in Budha's Nakshatra ??

Bali ji , Prash Trivedi ji makes it implicitly clear . even Indra , the king of the heavens is there just to serve . I have written previously ........... and I quoteThere is a saying in tamil about Jyeshta : "Kettai Kottai aalum" meaning Jyeshtra nakshatra persons will rule the Fort.

If you look at reality . even a King serves his people . How well he does it , will determine his present life and the next life . A position of authority is not to be missused . A king has been reduced to a begger ........... a begger became a king . We are all servents one way or the other .by astroboy » Fri Jun 03, 2011 1:05 pm

It is so sad to think that we have lost access to such a learned and valuable person. Srinivas ji is treasure trove and he so willingly shares his knowledge with everyone on this forum. I cant believe some people can find it in their heart to insult such a knowledgeable person.
However I understand his decision to not come back. He is much too good and respectable to put up with the crap some people have been hurling at him.

Dear astroboyji,

I wait months for you to reach Anuradha nakshatra and what do you come up with -- Saddam hussain!!!???!!!
lolzzz... kidding.
Your description of Anuradha nakshatra was absolutely on the mark. I felt that i could relate to a lot of what was written on it, such as depression, overly sensitive and also a sad childhood.
BTW, I have a question -- which Nakshatra is more imp.. the moon nakshatra or the lagna. My lagna nakshatra is Jyeshtha. waiting for you to write more on Jyeshtha so that i can figure out which nakshtras charecteristics i have more.

Just a simple observation thats all . I am sorry , I have said time and again " all other factors being equal "I wait months for you to reach Anuradha nakshatra and what do you come up with -- Saddam hussain!!!???!!!
I have made a interesting observation . Whenever the Moon and Lagna are in Malefic and afflicted Nakshatras Take it for granted that the malefic aspects get re-enforced

Dear bali1938,
Jyeshtha is very hardworking, sincere and can take immense risks. But it rarely gets full credit for all it does, simply because many people take an instinctive dislike for the native. Among the 3 Nks of Scorpio, jyeshtha makes the most number of enemies, though Vishakha and Anuradha can be far nastier.
Jyeshtha like its name implies, is like the eldest sibling in a traditional family. Works himself/herself to death and develops a nasty temper due to such strain, tries to please everybody, be all things to everybody, but in the end pleases nobody. Everyone points out his/her deficiencies but blissfully ignores the contributions.
A Nk of Mercury is not very comfortable in the H of his enemy Mars.
Astroboy,
Prash Trivedi writes excellent english and has written a very engaging book. Unfortunately his habit of introducing mumbo-jumbo and psychobabble at the expense of simplicity and precision has made the book far less important for serious study, than it should have been. Kingship is a kshatriya vocation by every shastra everywhere. And the ruling deity does not have to reconcile to every aspect of the Nk it rules. Indra can be the ruler of Jyeshthaa simply because he is jyeshtha or foremost among the Rig Vedic gods. In the Rig Veda there is no one higher than Indra. And one must remember that the Nkshatras were assorted in the Vedic era, which is much earlier than the period when the Hindu trinity of Brahma-Vishnu-Maheshwar came to dominate the pantheon.
Trivedi tries to fit arguments to a judgement rather than reaching a judgement through proper argument.

This simply means that Jyeshtha born are more inclined to work under others rather than wield independent power. It does not mean a lowly position in work life. E.g. the Cabinet Secretary of India, the highest IAS post in the Indian Bureaucracy, is still technically a servant (and it is a hundred mile higher up than a simple Qilladar, as given to Jyeshtha in the Tamil Classic) Jyeshtha temperament (disregarding any other influence in the chart) is somewhat unsuitable for independent business because it is too impatient and rough, and it is somewhat unsuitable for rulership because it is too quarrelsome and impetuous. Jyeshtha works best when there is a higher up to provide support and to unruffle the powerful feathers it has ruffled in its hurry. You have specifically mentioned that Jyeshta born have service mentality(or are meant to serve). Does it mean that they will not rise to high positions in life? Or is it again just one aspect that we need to consider along with other features in the horoscope.

All other factors being equal - Jeyshta - When afflicted
Jyeshtha Nakshatra individuals do not have the capacity to face even the smallest of troubles. He is the type of person to whom no secret should be told or given. He cannot keep anything hidden, even if it pertains to his own life. They are hot tempered and obstinate, due to which they face a lot of problems and forms a wall to his progress in life. Because of his hot tempered attitude he will not hesitate to cause problems and troubles even to those who have rendered him all possible help. He is even capable of ill treating the very same people who lent a helping hand in his time of need. They have a severe inferiority complex, which they hide by appearing to be proud on the outside.
Jyeshtha like to maintain a separate existence and identity and so is generally disliked by his near and dear ones. His own near family dislikes him, but they put up a front to show that they care. In reality the reverse is true.
The period from 18 – 26 years of age will be most troublesome. During this period they will have to undergo financial problems, mental agony, as also in some cases mental derangement.
Women born in Jyeshtha have a tougher life than male counterparts. She lacks marital harmony. Sometimes loss of children is also noticed. In some cases it is noticed that such a native is subject to the harassment from in-laws and several false stories are concocted against her. She needs to be very careful when she deals with her relatives, friends and neighbors as they are the people who put poison in her life. A worriless period is rarely available to her. Since she makes her own rules to be abided by her children, she will be neglected by them as a vengeance to what she has done to them during their childhood. Women born under this Nakshatra do not keep good health. It is seen that women born under this Nakshatra suffer from disorders of the uterus.
When the Moon is in this Nakshatra the person’s over all mentality will be cruel in nature.

All other factors being equal - Jyeshtha - when afflicted
When afflicted Jyeshtha can cause poverty and a fall from grace. These people have few friends and desire seclusion. A secretive, vindictive and hypocritical nature is observed. They can be involved in religious practices while simultaneously entrenched in materialistic pursuits. Internal conflicts about one’s self image and self esteem can result. Arrogance pride and egotism must be held in check. The native possesses an irritable and combative nature. Lagna or Moon in this Nakshatra often indicates a two faced hypocritical and secretive nature.
One peculiar trait is that when the lord of the 7th house is posited in this Nakshatra it inclines marriage with an older person or with a person who is senior in his or her family. All other factors being equal.
Jyeshtha people are obsessive, jealous, impatient, and inconsiderate, pretend to be patient and spiritual, tries to controls others by making them dependent upon them. They “need to act like adults†always think that things are not fair, resentful from not asking for the support they need for themselves, dramatize illness to get sympathy, inconsistent and unreliable. There response is given without thinking and these lands them into trouble eventually. Though they appear outwardly bold they shatter under pressure of difficulties.
In the Puranas Indra , the ruling deity of this Nakshatra comes out as a rumbustious , proud vain tricky and unreliable character . Most of those elements are conveyed through this Nakshatra. In a way, Jyeshtha is very similar to Vishakha, the other Nakshatra ruled by Indra. Jyeshtha is however much more controlled secretive and deliberating in comparison to Vishakha. An afflicted Jyeshtha brings out the negative qualities like depravation, misuse of power and authority, unnecessary vanity.
Jyeshtha is a Nakshatra where keeping up an image is more important than anything else. Jyeshtha natives usually do everything from a point of view which cares a great deal about how others perceive them. They want to gain respect in society and do whatever it takes to adhere to the prevailing standard.
Jyeshtha people are apt to magnifying their woes and troubles. There is no beating jester when it comes to unnecessary exaggerated moaning and groaning.
A revengeful and vindictive tendency is often noticed in Jyeshtha natives. They fall prey to jealousy very easily and are always on the look out to put others down.
In the present day and age most planets placed here need to be watched very carefully by a astrologer as they usually work against the natives peace of mind only a well placed Budha can give good results .

This is the horoscope of a man who killed women totally unknown to him, for no other reason that his desire to kill. Charismatic and boyishly handsome, he was an "All-American boy" type, always favored and successful with women. He fit the frightening profile of the serial killer, white, male, above average in intelligence, and adroit at wearing a mask of charm and sanity. They are men clever enough to avoid detection as they kill time and time again. Bundy wore the mask better than most, moving in better circles.
He was the illegitimate son of an unknown sailor and a very religious 22-year-old girl from a respectable Philadelphia family. Ted's mom, Louise, was the oldest of three sisters. When she got pregnant, she was sent away to have the baby at a home for unwed mothers and her shame was never spoken of in the family. The birth of the 7 lb. 9 oz boy was normal. For two months, he was left at the home while the family decided whether or not to keep him. It was Grandfather Cowell who made the decision to bring the baby home as their own. With the mystery of Bundy's parentage, it was even speculated that Cowell might have been his biological father. The family secrets were well guarded.
When he was four, his mom took him and moved to Tacoma, Washington where she married John Bundy a year later. They added four half-brothers and sisters to the family. Ted never accepted Johnny as a father figure, preferring his beloved grandfather. Grandfather Cowell was a man with a violent temper, a man who brooked no dissent. His wife was repeatedly taken to hospitals for shock treatment for depression. Her fears grew until she refused to leave the house, a victim of agoraphobia.
Though Louise Bundy portrayed her son as a sweet, darling boy, a model son, he told his psychiatrist of his fascination with stories of murder and death while still a boy. Later, these stories blended with his interest in pornography. By the time he was a pre-teen, he was obsessed with detective magazines and their gory pictures of sexually assaulted bodies.
He vacillated between being a brilliant student and the class low-ball. Along with A's and B's, he brought home notes about helping him control his temper. Despite his mom's assurance that he was well loved and a normal boy, he told of an extreme lack of self-esteem and deep insecurities during adolescence, a time when he had few friends or dates. He apparently was never able to deal with his anger toward his mother.
After earning a BS in psychology, he entered politics in 1972. He did key staff work as a spy for the Washington State Republican Party Chairman. The perfect little boy and pleasant adolescent became a rising star in state politics.
Though he did not evidence multiple personalities, he did have periods of metamorphosis, times when he went into a trance state, accompanied by an odor, a weirdness and mental disorientation. For a time, he even heard voices, but he was still one person, albeit living two lives. His doctors believed that he was a severe manic-depressive from at least 1967. Vice-president of the Methodist Youth Fellowship by day, he was a voyeur by night, sneaking out to peer in windows to watch women undress, a classic early route for rapists and serial killers. He showed other signs of sexual maladjustment, such as excessive and compulsive masturbation. He was a shoplifter and petty thief. However, he was also able to have normal sexual relationships. In his perception, there were two kinds of sex, that with consenting adults and that with murder. During the latter, he recreated the goriest fantasies that came to mind, including the grisly gratification of necrophilia.
Bundy had a great romance with a beautiful, wealthy coed, who jilted him when he was a college Junior. Soon after, he dropped out of school, immersed in a deep depression. He recreated himself into a more sophisticated image, and won her back a few years later. Before long, she was under the impression that they were engaged when he abruptly dumped her, refusing to write or phone.
