Notice his Budha and Moon in conjunction . Budha is debilitated , though exalted in the D9 .
I found this sloka in Jataka Desha Marga chapter 8 sloka 74 When Mercury and the Moon are posited in Angular Houses and are not in any way conjoined with any other planet and they are also not aspected by the lords of these Angular Houses, the Yoga formed is known as Paisacha and the native born under it will become insane.

Hi Astroboy,
In My case, the 3rd lord is sun who is in the 4th house and is in the nakshatra of Hastha, which belongs to the moon. How do you deduce from this?
Logically, i would think that since Sun is in Moon's Nakshatra, he could be influencing the moon?

Thank you Sujithji for showing me the saving grace.Sunjit86 wrote:Zarna,
My point is this: Dont jump the gun. Look at the Nk but also look at who is "protecting" it. there are many factors to consider. At 1st glance an NK could look unafflicted but when we look closer, it can actually be afflicted because of other planet's effects.
In my opinion, every chart has a malefic influence, nakshatras, planets and things like that. Astrology is great but God is even better. Like i say, yes astrology may govern your destiny but you still have the ability to avoid certain things in life if you do pray.
My 2 cents.
I hve gone though his kundli again n found that he too has waning moon & as above said by Astroboyji,He has 3rd lord itself moon!!!
Thanks again..

Deepak ji,
I did not find other characteristics aligning very well with the individuals. But I understand that the charts will have to be seen in full to understand fully.
I intimately know three natives born in this nakshatra. One of them with this combination does not have a child. He has adopted a female child. I have always wondered whether the happiness he derives from this child is determinable from the fifth house of his chart or not.One unique attribute of this Nakshatra is that when the 5th lord is associated with this Nakshatra it may deny children or create problems with them.

Good day Lovacrs ji ,
All results are due to the cumulative effects of the planets and the Nakshatras . It's a fact that no effect can be judged based in isolation. If character has to be judged , we need to see the lagna , chandra , 3rd lord, 4th lord, 5th lord, and Budha, and the horoscope as a whole before we can arrive at a conclusion . It is a accumulted effect that gives the final result .

Shuchi ji , Chitra is no doubt a artistic nakshatra . the diety is Tvashtar the celistial architect of the universe . Hitler's lagna was in Chitra . Very few people know that he was a budding painter and a artist . But you need shukra to lend a helping hand to art . His Shukra and Kuja were involved in a Planetary war and finally Kuja took over . The lord of Chitra is Kuja . Hitler in his war years designed all the uniforms , flags , the Nazi Logo , the SS logos and even some weapons . The Iron crosses he gave away for Bravery were all designed by him . He never lost that artistic streak .

Astroboy-ji.
Firstly I cant thank you enough for consolidating all the properties of the Nakshatras in one easy place. I am copy-pasting all the sections into my own quick reference sheet and I cant even describe how easy it is for a quick reference !
But I also quickly realized that your [ & other experienced astrologers] have a lot more information up in those grey cells. How? I've seen you quote for example, the deity of architecture in Hitler's case as to why he was such a good painter.
May I request you to also put those down in the Nakshatra description?
Let me take Bharani as an example.
Ruling deity = Shukra and lies in Kuja's house, so the significance is understood. But then you also mention: that Have no doubt, Bharani is an extreme Nakshatra. They always break the norms of society and indulge in what is Taboos. Now when I try to re-concile this with the fact that the ruling deity is Yama, I am unable to grasp how this works, because Yama is the god of fairness and justice, yeah, and death too, but for nakshatra description, the fairness part should suffice.
Continuing with Bharani, the activity is deemed as "balanced", yet the description is called "fierce" i.e. one of an extremist as you say.
With my very limited understanding of astrology, I am unable to grasp the subtleties
.
Is it possible to include these facets too? I dread to hear from you that this section is not meant for greenhorns like me - I am already feeling lost and w/o this inputs from you, will continue to meander.
Thanks much in advance and KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!

Good day Arunsg,
First of all thank you for those kind words . The reason I started this thread was to consolidate all negative traits into one single package . There are 6 books written on the Nakshatra + what my Guru has collected over his 15 years of experience . My Guru Shri Srinivas Rao Ji , has collected information from His Guru Shri Gunjur Ramachandra Shastri ji . Gunjur Ramachandra Shastri studied along with Krishnamurti , The man who redefined astrology with the K.P. system . Krishnamurti ji and Shastri ji both studied under the great C.G. Rajan . It was C.G. Rajan who prepared the ground work for Krishnamurti ji to give the finishing edges to the K.P.System . Who better to know Nakshatras than these 3 great souls .
Sadly most of the jewels are in vernacular texts . It is indeed a pain to translate these texts accurately . It takes time and effort to do it . I pursuaded Srinivas ji to do the translations , and I had started to post them here . Sadly there are some jobless people on the forum, who have nothing else to do but disrupt the smooth flow of the forum . God knows what their twisted agenda is . Any ways to cut the long story short, Srinivas Rao ji decided to quit the forum for good . I would have persuaded him to come back, But other people advised me against it . They think he is too good for this platform .
Now comming to a nakshatra which is balanced , at the same time fierce .......... let me give you a example . Take a butcher . he is fierce in his activity . But because he is balanced , he uses the same pressure , the same speed and the same direction when he slits a throat . He might slaughter a 100 a day , but he is consistent with infliction of the knife.
Take hitler for example . His lagna is in Chitra . It is soft in nature , but is a active nakshatra . When Chitra is afflicted , this active nakshatra leans towards aggression . and excessive zeal, self centeredness and impatience. All traits exhibited by Hitler to the hilt . When the "final solution" plan was put foward to him, Hitler accepted it whole heartedly because it involved gassing the Jews . Hitler as brave as he was , was a fink when it came to blood
. He thought firing bullets was a messy and slow procedure . More over it was a waste of time and effort . Gassing was a better idea . You dont see the agony , its fast , its mass , and its cheap . The " I dont want to see the misery , but i want my beef steak" is a classic trait of a soft nakshatra .
You will get it as we go along . Not to worry .

Good day Shubhra ji ,
I shall post it here for the time being rather than post on the Nakshatra thread . I will transfer the matter on the other thread later .
All other factors being equal - Vishakha - when afflicted
There is a fable that does the rounds amongst astrologers who perform Astamangala prashnas. They say that that when it is time for some people to be born under a particular Nakshatra, the Nakshatra goes and complains to Shiva and say “Why do you have to spoil my name by sending such people to be born in my realm. This is why I earn a bad name. Men like these are born to be infamous and I get to take the bad rap.†Shiva said “Do not worry, for every 10 people I allot to you, 9 will die in infamy, the one remaining will make you famousâ€. Lord Shiva keeps this promise to this day. Hermann Goering, Hitler’s right hand man was born in this Nakshatra. He happened to be famous no doubt, but he was from one of the 9. He died in infamy. Decades later Nicole Kidman also rose out of this very same Nakshatra. But we are only concerned about the likes of Goering. So let us get on with the show.
Vishakha like other Sanskrit terms evokes a wide variety of English meanings. In this case Vishakha means “forkedâ€, “two branched’, “poison vessel†amongst others.
Prash Trivedi ji who has written a master piece titled “Book of the Nakshatras†Has stated that in the present day and age the negative qualities tend to predominate a person’s life. When the negative takes over in the case of Vishakha, the Nakshatra usually functions as an obsessive, goal oriented Nakshatra with complete disregard for the nature of the means employed to achieve a desired end.
Vishakha cannot be seen as a pleasant Nakshatra. When striving towards a goal (In this case negative) becomes the only objective in life one is likely to have little piece of mind and will then definitely miss the true essence of life. Like Lennon says “Life is what happens while we are busy making other plans (Like trying to destroy somebody or something)
Vishakha true to its forked quality has two ruling deities Indra and Agni. In the Puranas Indra the kings of the heavens is often portrayed as a goal oriented fixated and offensive character who will go to any lengths to achieve his desired result , however lop sided it might be . The funny thing is that despite Indra thinks that he is spiritual and godly, craves for things which are only ungodly and materialistic in life. True to his forked nature, He looks at London while talking to Tokyo. This gets Indra into all sorts of trouble as a result. As we can see in the Puranas, Shiva and Shani have to both put him in his place time and again. But the shameless character that he is, he continues to indulge in all sorts of back handed games, and indulge in questionable games and ways thus creating bad karma as a result. This, in essence is the primary theme of Vishakha.
Indra is the ruler of heaven no doubt, the King of the devas. But his weakness lies in drowning himself with women wine and other such pleasures. The indulgent side of Indra finds his expression through Vishakha.
Indra’s main weapon is deceptiveness. He does not shy away from putting his own near and dear ones in danger in order to get what he wants. He often acts in a cowardly fashion at the first sign of real danger. It is helpful to remember that "Indra" “the ruler of heavenâ€, is just a post which is occupied by different souls in different times in heaven. Vishakha people are always in search of a post which will give them dominion and pleasure. When they fail to get it, or lose that post, they do not hesitate to use any back handed means to regain that post once again.
The other deity of this Nakshatra is Agni. Fire in its negative aspect can run amok and burn indiscriminately. In the same way Vishakha can cause harm to others around it before finally getting consumed itself. Terms like burning grief burning desire and burning passion are tailor made Vishakha expressions.
The nature of this Nakshatra can be summed in one word – “Fixationâ€. Even though its single-mindedness in pursuing its goals is unmatched, but its Achilles heel lies in “What goal it chooses to pursueâ€. In the present day and age the likely hood of forming unwholesome goals is intensively heightened. Vishakha natives easily fall prey to sex and alcohol. They are the ones who need to flock to the local bar.

A Vishakha Nakshatra Native has a sense of emptiness as a continuous feature throughout their lives. They are always concerned about what they don’t have rather than make the most of what they have. The grass is greener on the other side mentality breeds a cog mire of unwholesome emotions
Vishakha native’s behaviors can range from extremely courteous and jovial to completely nasty and obnoxious. They are concerned with putting up fonts to gain their ends. Most natives fall prey to envy jealousy viciousness and can help feeling useless in comparison to those around them. All these factors make Vishakha natives hard to get along with, making them bereft of any real friends. The real problem lies in the fact that these natives become obsessive about these negative feelings and thoughts and can’t let go of them. This is where the fire inside them starts burning their own selves instead of being put to any constructive use. Vishakha natives are defined by their obsessions which can range from petty to soul destroying.
Vishakha natives have to make a conscious choice to stay on the right path. They take life as a challenge of sorts. They usually make simple things complex and easy things difficult. They encounter a lot of obstacles due to the wrong paths they choose. The final paradox of the Nakshatra lies at the point where after achieving what they set out to achieve they are not sure if that’s what they wanted to achieve.
Vishakha types cannot give a reason for the bad things they have done because it is the most active Nakshatra in the zodiac and its obsessive approach to things.
The Nakshatra belongs to the Mleccha (Out caste) caste. The seers classified this Nakshatra as an out caste because they saw Vishakha as a natural trouble maker who could not function in society.
The Nakshatra is feminine in nature .Possessiveness; jealousy and vindictiveness are regarded as familiarly feminine qualities in Vedic texts.
The Gana is that of a Rakshasa. A complete disregard for the others wellbeing is considered as a demonic quality and this Nakshatra displays it to the hilt. Vishakha Nakshatra people go about attaining their goals in a secretive and underhanded manner and most of its real intent and activity are concealed from others.

It is a soft and sharp Nakshatra. This again emphasizes the dual nature of the Nakshatra. The soft side is pleasure seeking the sharpness is the fixity of purpose to achieve that pleasure. The soft side is often what stops Vishakha Nakshatra types from turning into complete Psychopaths and at times it just acts as a disguise which lets them get away from their nefarious and dark activities.
According to Varahamihira people born under this Nakshatra are jealous, greedy clever with words, shilled at making money, quarrelsome and good at inciting quarrels among others.
Vishakha people are often impelled to develop and perfect logical proofs for their dogmas so that they delve obsessively into their chosen subject. They then tend to present their findings so aggressively and persistently that they end up alienating their audiences. They thus lack intimate social involvement, especially friends, and a tendency to use people as means to an end. Vishakha people are therefore usually well advice to cultivate a greater awareness of the rights of others.
The shadow side of this Nakshatra can be an aggressive dictatorial nature these people can win the battle but lose the war by pushing their agendas too strongly. A quarrelsome personality may be present. There can be issues with suppressed anger and frustration. They may try to fill too many ambitions. They are envious or covetous of the success of others. They lack social network of friends and end up feeling isolated and alone against the world. Bitterness and resentment results. The moon gets his deep debilitation point in the last pada of this Nakshatra. They have a Rakshasa temperament and a strong sexual appetite. Problems due to romantic affairs and infidelity may occur. Issues with betrayal and disappointment can occur in early marriage.
The unfavorable traits and attitudes include careless and negative talk, sarcasm, unconstructive criticism, use people to their convenience, cynical, fault finding, not open to advice, offensive and not easy to like, greedy, fraudulent, domineering, quick to take offense, confrontational, suspicious, and jealous. get taken advantage of by others , easily offended, undependable, unenthusiastic, and unhelpful distrustful and disbelieving.

very very incisive analysis on Vishaka. what is your source? Prash Trivedi?
sad to hear about Srinivas Raoji's decision. talent leaves this forum due to bad elements. this keeps happening regularly in this forum.

Good day Vhb ,
The problem vhb ji, is that he does not find time during the day. He has a mother now aged 83 who has to be looked after . He gets up in the morning at 4 . If you notice mosts of his posts are written early in the morning . He was really disillusioned with the way people would create hurdles for him . He really has to put in quite a lot of effort to write . Articulation is a problem because he has picked up his jyotish in Kannada . He speak fluent english and studied in one of the best English medium colleges . But his Jyotish study was in kannada . He thinks in kannada , and then has to translate it to english . Some thing he find strainous . Its difficult to remove 16 years of vernacular jyotish out of your system . In fact , when we talk , our normal converstion is in english , but when we talk astrology , it is Kannada . Its only after i came to the forum that I could convert to english easily . Till then it was all Kannada in my head . Years of listening to astrologers speak in kannada ........ Its difficult to talk jyotish after a while .
He had made 15 pages of notes on Kuja chandra yoga . I think he must have written just 1 or two pages on the forum from his notes . What I intend to do is take those notes from him and complete that thread myself . Its too important for us to lose . After all how much info do we have on that Yoga ??

Through hard work and spiritual practices, a person gets honor and dignity. The lazy one who puts in no efforts is like a fool who allows salt to be spilled on the wounds of his misfortunes. The idler depending only on fate, achieves nothing. - K.N.Rao ji
Good day Kandan Ji ,
My idea when I started this thread was to create one consolidated data base online so that every one can access material with regard to the negative aspects of the Nakshatras .
As you all Know , Prash Trivedi and Dennis M harness have both written extensively about the Nakshatras . There are some errors in Prash Trivedi's Book , All minor in nature , But never the less , Its a extremely well written book . In the course of my studies , I discovered that many books had to be referred to before a conclusion could be drawn . Not only was this cumbersome , It was also time consuming . I therefore have decided to extract the best from the following books to come up with one single concise set . Each one of us , including me will benefit immensely from it .
The reason I decided to write this was simple . As you all know by now, I tend to think in a extremely negative fashion . Misery is the key word to be used here . out of the 7 billion creatures on earth , 6.9 billion plus are on a emotional, or financial Shiit street . Misery is everywhere , just like polluted air . I have there for decided to focus only on what troubles a Nakshatra can create , rather than focus on the positive aspects . Prash Trivedi ji who has written the master piece titled “Book of the Nakshatras†Has stated that in the present day and age the negative qualities tend to predominate a person’s life
The following books have been referred to
Light on life by Robert Svoboda and Hart Defouw
The Nakshatras by Dennis M Harness
The Book of Nakshatras by Prash Trivedi
The essentials of Vedic Astrology By Komilla Sutton
Beneath a Vedic Sky by William R.Levacy
Encyclopaedia of Indian Astrology by Prof N.E. Muthuswamy
Nakshatra by K.T.Shubhakaran
Jyotishya Taranga By Shri Gunjur Ramachandra Shastri and Gunjur Prakesh Shastri
Inputs from Shree Jyothi Star , Jyotish Studio , and Parashara Light . ( Special Thanks to Andrew Foss. )

.I once again want to add A note of Caution . Please do not try to apply every thing to a chart verbatim . There can be many modifications to these dictums . For example Please remember that a Shani Shukra combination , Can make one Gay , or induce superb renunciatory tendencies . We have to assess in which plane the planet is acting

I completely agree with you on this. He was not learning anything here. He was doing us all a great favour by writing here. If it cannot be appreciated and every opportunity taken to cause disruption, its our loss not his. I have made a complete docket of what he has written so far. Yes would b great if u can continue on the Kuja Chandra thread. Thanks once again to the two of u.I pursuaded Srinivas ji to do the translations , and I had started to post them here .
Warm Regards

these negatives come out only if moon is heavily afflicted. there are a lot of positives too to Vishaka. refer to the symbol of Vishaka. its a triumphal arch. hopefully, Deepakji will start a new thread on the positive aspects of nakshtras. Vishaka is related to Tiger which is the national animal of Mera Bharat Mahaan.
another name for Vishaka is Raadhaa meaning beauty. Vishaka natives are beautiful/handsome, very insightful and good communicators.
