I have some points,
-It is true Rahu gives rise in his dasha if it is in 3,6,10,11
-In your case rahu had hypnotized you about your horoscope.
-Here It seems all astrologers are hesitating to say what they want to say & they are right in doing so.
-Saturn has given you sudden rise next ???????.
-After getting this much success you are not happy this is the character of rahu.
-You are aggressive in talks, mars’s fourth aspect on second house .
-your opponents at work place are very mature 6th & 7th lord Saturn in 10th. One day they will harm you & you will not be able to retaliate.
-Don’t forget Mars’s 8th aspect on rahu violent rivelary,be careful.

Many knowldegable experts have already commented on this.
I also find this a rather interesting horoscope and will add my 2 cents to it:

(1)The strongest point of this horoscope is that the malefics have all been curbed, suppressed, severely minimized....even if they are not completely ineffective. This means that the hands and legs of all the bad guys, who could do possible damage have been tied behind their back. Let's see how:

a) Mars the 2nd of the malefics is the Yogakarak. A malefic as YK treates you like an adopted child....he will scold, reprimand you occasionally...but will not hurt you badly...and will also protect and guide you through choppy waters.
[as an aside......the biggest benefeciaries are Ta and Libra ascendants who get Lord Saturn as their YK]

b) Sun the 3rd of the malefics is the Lord of Ascendant, placed in the 10th house in rasi and in it's own house in Navamsa.......no wonder the Shadbala os Sun is so high as someone pointed out.

c) The #1 amongst malefics.....Lord Saturn is combust. When he is not the YK...the next best placement for Shani is combust, weakens him tremendously...almost like tying his hands at the back. Shani even when combust in this chart will slow down things, force the native to appreciate being patient deligent and humble...but will not cause any lasting or irreversible damages. Also note Sa is the YK in the Navamsa chart
On the flip side Su-Sa together causes the father-son to NOT get along.....and shortens the life of natives father in my experience.

d) Ketu the 5th of the malefics is in it's best possible house...the 12th......making the native appeciate the role of spiritualism, Karma, god and Moksha in life. There is a weakend Sa 3rd drishti on the 12th house....forcing deligence, patience, spirituality, humility......but not any very bad aspects on the 12th house.

e) rahu the 4th of the maelfics is in 6th house of Saturn ( that is combust and weakned). There will be enemies but here Rahu in 6th.... with the 8th drishti of YK Mars is acting like the fighter that conquers the enemies.
Minus any strong afflictions or negative infleunces Ra maximizes the ability of the native to fight throuhg free-will....."conquers all borders".

Unafflicted Rahu and Ketu in their best possible placement...the 6-12 Axis are maximizing the capacility of the native to excercise and achieve throuhg free-will and Karmik dispensation.

Once the malefics are neutralized or minimized the benefics get an open field to play and march-on. Let us see the strengths:

1) Sun Lord of As, placed in the 10th house in rasi and in it's own house Leo in Navamsa ( makes it Mooltrikona).......no wonder the Shadbala of Sun is so high as someone pointed out....and is the driving energy of this horoscope.

2) Jupiter in Saggitarius in the 5th house in Rasi...mooltrikona placement and exalted in Navamsa...as strong a Jupiter as one can get.

3) Mercury in it's own sign in Gemini in the houseof wish fullfillment in the 11th.......supported by YK Mars and friendly Ve .. under the 7th drishti of strongly benefic Jupiter in it's mooltrikona sign/

4) Moon well placed in the 9th house aries in Rasi with Jupiter's 5th aspect on it...very benefic

In classical Vedic astrology 4 planets exlated or equivalent ( in own sign, or Mooltriokona, or Vargottam) take the person very, very high.

to Anu,
Re; your question....whether you will rise in politics.....don't know...but you will rise further in Jupiter MD....much smoother waters then you have experienced so far.

The Saturn MD following will be similar to Rahu MD, rise overcoming enemies/ hurdles/ but no dramatic fall. .....the pillars of this horoscope are too strong to allow any dramatic collapses.
During that phase you will slow down. Anyway you would have reached retirement age. Be spiritual, give back to the community and take care of your health... would be my suggestion in the Sa phase of your life.

and one more thing that i remember to add ...in a chart like this:
--when the malefics are all largely minimized
--and Ra-Ke are placed on the 6-12 axis
--and as a consequence of both the above......when there is too much of a free-will component availbale in a chart to the native....

in my view implies nearing and end of the cycles of birth and rebirths.

the afflictions / curses/ intensity of the malefics....or otherwise...... and the Ra-Ketu axis positoning are the biggest indicators in my view of the evolution of that soul in the jouney to it's end i.e liberation.

Conversely the 1-7 or 7-1 axes of Ra-Ke more often than not are an indicators of a very early human life in the cycle of evolution....still carrying the curses of the previous non-human / animal life forms

--Ke(1)- Ra(7) is worse than Ra(1) and Ke (7) axis. IMO

Although Rahu dasa had given you all gud, I think your jupiter dasa will give mixed results only. Reasons are.

1. Jupiter is in Ketu's star, which is in 12th house.

2. Jupiter is retrograde.

3.Jupiter owns 8th house too.

4. In D9 though exalted, conjoined with ketu in 9th.

Now instead of taking anysides, I suggest you to please look back your jupiter antaras and pratyantaras. You will get a fair idea of how jupiter acted.

Let's see what native has stated about his life events in this thread and pick the ones that occured in the Ra-Ju period...see below:

--There have to be powerful Yogas opertaing throughout his professional life period......and it's not merely the D1 and D10 that can give an idea of the power of planets in the Yogas. Many people show Yogas in D1. Jhora lists on an average 12 to 14 yogas for most average people !!

--Amsabala should be seen...and that's a highly recommended measure.
And almost all highly successful individual's charts shows simhaasanamsa or higher.
And in DasaVarga Charts his Jupiter and Me are in simhasanamsa and Devalokaamsa respectively !! An amsa count of 5 and 7 respectively !!
Simhasanamsaa itself is uncommon and seen in most celebrities/ world leaders.
and Devalokamsa I haven't seen in any charts !! Sun's amsa is not bad either in this chart.
In shadavarga and SaptaVarga the amsa of Ju and Me may be around 85 and 100% as a percentage.

--and look at the houses these planets are sitting in.....5th and 11th....and ASPECTING each other in D1
--And look at the Yogas these planest ( Me and Ju) are involved in ( listed below), as seen from their placement in D1, but the fructification level of whihc is dependent on their amsa is Shadavarga, Sapta-Varga and DasaVarga charts !!
--Some of these such as Brahma2, Bhaskara, Raja/Dharma Karma Adhipati are not so commonly seen.
--All the above IMO are responsible for the continued success if this man.....and because of Jupiter's simhasanamsa and invlovement in so many rare Yogas, I see continued and higher success in the MD

--well that makes it more interesting......Rahu is still very strong, in it's own Nakshatra......so it should do you well.

--and that cluster of planets is in the 6th. Sat is in ot's own house in the 7th and rules the 8th also and Jup rules 6th and 9th.

Per a classic if a planet rules both Dusthan and non-dusthan and is in it's own non-dustahn house....then it gives the siginifcation of it's own house.
so Jup will also do you good only.

Now tell me what type of gains/ benefit/ good results have you experienced in the Rahu Mahadasa so far.

Rahu mahadasa gave evrything worth mentioning till now..alll changes are sudden/dramatic .shift in career from teaching to software -April 2000, Birth of son-Oct 2004, Forein travel-2006, Excellent job in MNC with high pay 2008 to till. I never imagined or expected any of these things in my life. All these changes are sudden/dramatic ...

Now Rahu-Sun, Moon, Mars will start soon. Expecting some challenges as Saturn 71/2 sade sathi also cover most of this period.

Look at the rise of the original poster of this thread...and that of Ambani and I have a a few more charts in my collection.


Now Rahu-Sun, Moon, Mars will start soon. Expecting some challenges as Saturn 71/2 sade sathi also cover most of this period.

Don't worry until the Rah MD you are standing on very solid grounds...and thereafter Jup in it's own house in Bhagyastahn takes over.
Shani is also strong..in it's own house in the 7th and hence Sadi Sati can do you only good.

You have several years of good Dasas to follow each other....don't be worriedWould appreciate if you through some light on this?

Dear jcb,

I use the default ( and widely used) Lahiri ayanamsa.

My approach and suggestion is to focus on learning interpretattion rather than spending time on verfying maths/ claculations behind software.
We must believe it is tried, tested and works....and not play around too much with various options, else you lose benchmarks and consistency and a lot of time.

Now on to the chart:

in Jhora and with the default Lahiri ayanmsa I see Ke with the ascendant...it is a KSY on the 7-1 Ra-Ket axis.
EXCEPT
that there is nothing called KSY in any of our classics
nor is it a yoga verified by any modern reserach.

It is a name that has become popular ( read infamous) in modern times...a neo-popular phenomenon propoageted IMO by those with vested interests, exploiting the human psyche of fear/ dread...to further their interests.

it is the placement of the Ra-Ket on a certain axis that has a makerd effect on the native....whether the reamining planets are wholly inside the axis...is incidental and not a known or verified Yoga.

the natives is on the 7-1 axis of Ra-Ket.....whihc is amongst the most unfavorable placements of Ra-Ket.
Because Asc. denotes self...and forward propulsion of self....while Ketu denotes detachment...and creates a detachment with self and is antithesis to the whole notion of Ascendant propelling seflfforward...thereby creating a life long-turmoil conflict aggravetd during Ket and Ra periods.......which manifests in situation whihc are self-destructive for the native with little control and a complete feeling of helplessnes that he has in those situations.

At the same time Ra in the 7th denotes a partner extremely materialistic and pulling the native when in relationship in the other direction....making it very hard for such natives to sustain relationships.

THIS however is a very general read of the 7-1 axis placement of Ra-Ket and not taking into account the specific planetary placements of the native.
Specific planetary placements can greatly reduce/ and even render almost harmless the other wise a very unfavorable placement of Ra-Ket on 7-1 axis.

Thanks Shilpa for your analysis. With J hora and Lahiri Ayanamsa I noticed Lagna Libra approx 11 deg and Ketu approx 9 Deg which shows Lagna is outside Rahu-Ketu axis. Please correct me if I am wrong.....

Again another real life example of how strong Rahu makes a person higher and higher.
Starting from June 2010 I faced headwinds in my career, missed my promotion, not able to satisfy my supervisor regarding my performance despite of my best abilities. I started wondering why this happend to me during this period.Once i noticed that things are geting tough...suddenly out of blue moon I got another opprtunity to work with another company with good pay and grade. The selection and offer letter was received during 3 week of NOV. Again I was not only saved but got good pay and higher position too...
Your analysis is 100% correct in my case.

Planet does not give results of its own position but of the star it falls in
however medium it does so is by the planet and its position

rahu here lies in sun nak...sun is lagna lord and with tremendous strength in 10th house of career..close to MEP of 10th

hence rahu will give results of sun but in karakatwa of rahu...which is foreign things, moving around, and 6th significations meaning service/ career and overcoming enmities

sun and saturn that strong in 10th are good for material success but can make a person "a hook or by crook" minded at workplace and in general in life...which might not be so good karmically....

On rahu.....yes there are plenty of misconceptions......I have seen a number of charts where natives have risen significantly during the Rahu periods.

Dhiru Bhai ambani's peak years of rise all came in Rahu MD.......

Mine also by and large similar journey like you. Lots of experiences since starting of Rahu dasha from 2000, Sudden developments, surprise rises and falls and the life is going on what we use in Fluid Dynamics "Turbulance". But most of the developments are positive for me. Like you I too pursuing MBA from IIM and life is going on.

Let us wait and see wheter I will turn to Management side or continue in the Technical path as time unfolds...

I am too fascinated by Rahu Dev and Pranams to him for giving such an exciting journey since last 13 years...
