An astrologer explained to me this - Venus is the karak for spouse. When Venus is with Jupiter, usually spouse embodies qualities of Jupiter- wise, generous, enjoys life etc. Such combination signifies great relationship.

Venus does not just signify spouse. It signifies close relationships of all sorts. Those that support you in every which way but one - the epitome of great support. Whereas Moon signifies emotional support if related to the 7th, Venus denotes loving support and close support which can replace the Moon as the sole supporter in relationships.

Tasmanic planets like Mars and Saturn that go with Venus either through association, aspect or dispositorship, means that the people you are having close relationships with never really give a listening ear to consider your own personal opinions in the outcome of a decision. Jupiter standing for truth would make his stand but is generous in giving way if the other party does not want to compromise his stand. But Jupiter being a great teacher would always show to the other person who has his way, how his decision is not perfect and there are lessons to be learnt. So there will be preaching and sermon, notwithstanding a person manages to get his own way.

All these processes of compromising (Venus), sermonising (Jupiter), altruism (Jupiter and Venus), making each other feel good (Venus), expansion (Jupiter), prosperity (Venus), ideas to solve a problem (Jupiter) etc. conduces to a relationship that seldom fails and always moving towards for the betterment of both parties.

Sometimes the flow of the relationship can be rather jerky, though I would not say unpleasant.

Venus dislikes Jupiter's sermonising and his holier than thou attitude. Jupiter can be irritated with Venus superciliousness and on the fly kind of thinking and behaviour without regard to principles. Still the outcome is good because both planets always come to a correct decision in all things. It is only that they travel different routes in reaching the SAME goals in life.

Dineshji,

I only quoted an eminent astrologer and the reason he gave for this. I had never looked at it from this perspective. That is why I wanted to know form other people on this forum if they have experienced it as well. I know at least one more person with this combination who has a great relationship with spouse.

If you have seen other horoscopes with this combinations- I would appreciate it if you could post here. It would help in analysis.

i am sure you are right. Once I figure how to read D-24, I will check that as well.

The same astrologer has rectified my birth time as well, so I guess that has changed as well.

Venus and Jupiter being together is just a good combination to have as both are benefics and are together. In your chart, jupiter is debilitated in capricorn. So, difficult to say. Why don;t you tell us what your perception of your wife is, if you are married?

Ju and Ve by nature are very different. Their opposition/conjunction directs person in 2 opposite directions.
Think about this... I am giving a very crude and over the top example.
A very young handsome/lover of all luxuries and fine things in life is a teacher at girls college.
It does not give you a very warm and fuzzy feeling. You always feel uncomfortable with the set up.

So even though both are benefics, they do not mix too well.
Then ownership, functional status, aspects, nakshatras ofcourse come into picture but the basic nature is very important.

Dinesh ji thank u for your correction and considering my openion.
Hina ji,as you said May be JUp debiliated in my chart.but that got cancelled too.THe thing is as they are one lord is owning kendra and one more owning KONA,so both forming kendra ,konadhipathi combination.of course VENUS having second lordship and Jup having 12th also.i heared some where else that this will be addressed as LAKSHMI NARAYANA yoga.i am requesting you all please correct me if this might wrong.And Hina ji,coming to your question,to be frankly,i love my wife.that single statement relfelects my attitude towards her.SHe also same towards me.She does not studied much.but still she knows all the things except some things like modern gadgets operation(even she dont know how to trak nos in cell phone) etc.that may not be the problem for me.THE PROBLEM IS SHE USED TO BEHAVE IN FACT SHE REFELECTS IGNORANT BEHAVIOUR.Say if any thing is there in her way or passage,she dont bother to hit that and go.i could not understand this behaviour.when i tells something to cultivate her then some times she will accept and some times she dont.All the house hold matters are like that only.and she will not try to change her mind set up.all in all i am keep on telling her to do things in proper manner or in certain order.
