AMTYA-KARAKA and navamsa

Dear astrologers,

Could anyone tell me about the importance of amtya-karaka in navamsa? Does it get more important as we get older than the amtya-karaka in rasi?

For instance, my Amk is rahu and in rasi rahu is sitting with lord of 10H which means that i should be a successful hardworker which i was until about 25 years old. Now in navamsa rahu is not anymore with the 10th lord. Could that explain why i am not a hard worker anymore or would this be due to something else like the dasa.

To sum-up, does the positive effects gained by position of amk in Rasi last for the all life, or do we have to look at amk in navamsa for the later part of life?
