Hello everyone...
I was just wondering why some people have very good hair, some have average hair and some dont have any hair.. I'm sure planetary positions/combinations are responsible for this too..
Any one here who has done research on this area is requested to post the details abt this topic ..

saturn in ascendent gives thick , straight, rough and dark hair.
Is also gives a lot of body hair...
Sun gives baldness as Chaks mentioned.
Ve gives good, shiny, lustrous hair on head and good beards (in men).

I have most of what is indicated in this post.
Saturn in Capricorn in my 7th looking into 1st gives me straight, black and rough hair. I also have a lot of body hair. Venus in my Ascendant gives me healthy hair with the right amount of oiliness. My mustache and beard also grows rather fast.
Mars in Aires from 10th aspecting ascendant causes me to be bald. My Sun disposited by Rahu in 1st via Nakshatra (meaning as if Sun is in the 1st) and Sun in 1st half of Sagittarius Navamsa also points to the same thing.
Although my Ketu does not cast any aspect onto the Ascendant, because of Saturn, the effects of it is also felt. I have white hair since my early twenties. This could be the result of a combination of Ketu with Saturn, if going by what you say that Ketu alone does not give white hair.
My Jupiter disposited by Rahu in 1st via Nakshatra (meaning as if Jupiter is in the 1st) and Jupiter in watery Pisces Navamsa causes my hair to be copious from young till early middle ages, after which baldness began to take over. My hair strands are also rather long and the barber has to do some sweeping after he cuts my hair.
Also Rahu in 1st causes me to have various kinds of hair characteristics throughout life.

Hi Vivek
I forgot to add that Rahu in my 1st causes my hair to be fazzled like an electric current has just gone thru it. I always see my strands on hair to stand on end when I stared myself in the mirror. Now because I am bald, the effect is less marked.

As for Ketu in 1st, it should be very close to Ascendant degree to mean anything. Ketu is the oldest planet, that's why it relates to aging.
Is your friend short? Is your friend prone to being fat or stocky? Just asking because these are two attributes of Ketu in 1st.
You hv seen my chart....Ketu in 1st with same degree as ascendant.....
I m 6' tall n not bad looking with double/small-chin tho (Ketu)...look pretty young for my age...atleast 5 years younger. I have to watch my diet tho as I do have fat gaining tendency....

I have good, shiny, lustrous hair on head and good thick beard...what you have defined for Venus....and light normal body hair..
Isnt it also hereditary ??? specially the straight or curly hair....I can understand baldness related to Sun...but body hair or hair thickness depends on genetics....

I just read something in BPHS the latest edition in Saptarishis Magazine which has something related to this post.
BPHS:

साहसीते केसःà¥à¤‡à¤š वृ िलंगी à¤à¤µî†–े रः॥ २४
ÄrÅ«á¸á¸¥a tsaptame ketuḥ pÄpakheá¹ayuteká¹£itaḥ |
sÄhasÄ«svetakesḥica vá¹›ddhaliá¹gÄ« bhavennaraḥ || 24
Translation: If the 7th from Arudha has Ketu in it and connected with malefic planets
(either by aspect or conjunction) the native would be courageous, has grey hair and looks
older.
If you substitute the above word Arudha ie. AL with the Lagna (which is allowed because elsewhere in the article elsewhere they mention about reading from AL, Atmakaraka and the Lagna with the AL given the most emphasis) then you can see the condition applies in my chart.

I'm running rahu mahadasha since last 11 years, my hair also frazzles many times after a hair wash... if they r exposed to wind, then they surely stand up
Position of my rahu is in my 9th house... if we consider rahu's aspect, then its aspecting my lagna...

Reviving this old post. I think Saturn and Venus in the second house together or alone can give very good hair. Venus gives long beautiful and soft hair, and Saturn ensures thickness, color, and strength of the hair. God know what gives straight hair. But that also must have something to do with Saturn or and Venus. A lot of people in my family have good hair. Most have some connection of Saturn with the second house. If Mercury is the lord of the second, (speaking this based on the chart of a family member), hair is thin though can be long. Mars and Saturn together give bad hair. A friend of mine has it in her chart. Anyway, just casual observations.

My daughter has got beautiful, lustrous ,dense, long and strong hair and gets a lot of compliments for her hair. She is Tauraus lagna and has venus and Saturn in her second house Gemini .She is also a beautiful girl.
And my hair is thin, less denser and short but still manages to appear good . My lagna is libra and lagna is in the nakshatra of mars . Saturn and Sun aspects my lagna.But I don't think I look old for my age. Infact without any benefic aspects on my lagna I look attractive ( though not for myself)for people and received many compliments for my looks. Just curious to know what planets are responsible for giving this kind of attraction?

Yes, Lakshmi, Venus and Saturn together give gorgeous hair. You must have a pretty daughter, as the second governs the face. She must be very pleasant to look at. Does she sing? Likes music? Or are the bitter words enveloped in honey? I am no astrologer but I have this combo in Libra in the second house, so it was easy to make that statement. Normally, I don't come off as someone who can speak harsh words. But my mother had always maintained that when I want I become very bitter and strong with words. I guess, Saturn takes over Venus then. Does that happen with your daughter, too? Where is her Mercury? Regardless of whatever planetary combination in your chart, enjoy the compliments you receive

Yes you are again right about the voice, she has a very good attractive voice as well. Sometimes she speaks so harsh and it is like ordering others.
Her mercury, mars, Jupiter and sun are in 4th house Leo .
Saturn and venus in 2nd Gemini (u already know this)
Ketu and moon in 6th( libra) rahu in 12th( Aries )
I don't think she sings good . She sometimes sings her own songs which she makes herself lol and asks me to listen

Nice that she makes up her songs Creative she is....good...Venus in second gives interest in poetry.... I, too, have moon ketu together, though in the third house in Scorpio. And my Jupiter sits with mars in the fourth.

Hi even I wanted to know the reason why few of the males like loooooooooooooong hair on women according to astrology because my uncle has this tendency to even follow long haired women in his car just kidding

- Nk in which lord of lagna nak is seated: (For example, if lord of lagna nak is sun, which in turn, seated in saturn nak.)
My guruji has given us some assignment on this. I shall post soon.

Good venus usually represents beauty. If venus in your chart is connected to lagna or lagna is in nak of well placed venus, it is a marker for beauty and appearance. Such person has dark hair, sweet voice and large(also magnetic) eyes.
Aspects on lagna can also can't be ruled out. It also plays vital role in the appearance. For example, if sun aspect lagna face might be boney and forehead is usally large etc.
Please note that venus in general represent beauty of the native, even if it is not connected to lagna. If you see mills and boon poster, it is apt to describe a venusian man and a martian girl
Similarly, I sometime easily pick mars, sun and ketu influence in lagna. I will not deviate now, hope this helps.

Ok,but still I have a doubt regarding which house represents hair,so is it the 2nd house and its significator venus,because Jupiter is also known to give good looks right?
