I'm sharing Jyotisha based insights about a significant personality on the world stage today. Donald J Trump. I consider his chart to be both convincing and compelling enough for me to spend time on the analysis.

This analysis is not an endorsement or condemnation of his policies - just a dispassionate unbiased observation of a person's life as it relates to Jyotisha principles.

Leo Ascendant (Simha Lagna) aligns well with the personality that we can evidently see. There is a strong presence, authoritarian instincts, leadership qualities, courage of conviction, fierce, unrelenting, firm assertive of his beliefs. Mars in the Ascendant gives the native the fiercely impulsive nature, quick thinking, speak now - think later approach. Leo also gives the native the undying energies to be active, relevant and spirit to fight for his cause.

Lagna lord Sun is placed in the 10th house of Career, Recognition and closely conjoined with Rahu. This enhances the function of Sun in the 10th house but meanwhile has eclipsed the positive qualities of Sun. This Rahu causes him to a task master, demanding, hardworking, intense person, but also makes him very insensitive, aggressive, absolute authority in his approach. Rahu when associated with Lagna or Lagna lord can make the person very Self praising, boastful, proud - Comfortable to talk about themselves as the Best.
Sun is also his Atmakaraka planet, thereby at a soul-level there is a deep connection with his assertive, independent and fiery mindset.

Moon as a planet of emotions, feelings is again eclipsed by the presence of strong Ketu. The person can become intensely focused, yet disconnected from emotions, perceptions associated thru his approach. This makes him very successful in business, negotiations where emotions can become a barrier. Additionally there are no planets on either of Moon this can make him extremely focused without thoughts, distractions bothering him.

Mercury as a planet of intellect is well placed in the 11th house of gains. Mercury is also a planet of business, trade and makes sense he made great gains (and losses) thru his business ventures. Mercury is the lord of 2nd in 11th - so his assets are growing thru association with the 11th house.

Jupiter is the 5th and 8th lord in the 2nd.
8th house is the house of wealth of the world. It is the vast resources available for us to tap into for us. It is common for celebrities, movie stars, rock stars, businessmen to have 2nd house associated with 8th house - they receive great expanses in their assets by tapping into the vast spread of their network. They gain by the tapping into masses. Jupiter is also the 5th lord in 2nd - indicating that his children will continue his family business and inherit the same.

Saturn-Venus close conjunction with Ketu-Moon in Scorpio forms a Tapaswi Yoga - This again forms a great yoga for a person solely dedicated to his calling, completed consumed by his quest. In this case it is his wealth, authority, popularity, fame, image.

His Arudha Lagna is Pisces - which may not truely reflect what we see playing out. We don't see a pious, religious, soft, peaceful person but an exact opposite of this.

Planets in the 3rd and 6th highlight a person's enterprising nature, ability to take risk, courage, fighting spirits. Note the presence of Rahu-Sun in the 3rd and powerful Mars in the 6th. This clearly aligns with the personality we see playing out. Planets aspecting the 11th from Arudha Lagna by Rasi drishti will contribute significantly his wealth as seen by the world. Rahu-Sun-Mars-Ketu-Moon are all aspecting the 11th from AL - This is a major contributor to the expansion in his wealth and influence. He gains from his entrepreneurial instincts, risk taking nature.

Navamsa Chart.
Sun-Rahu are placed in the Virgo Ascendant (Kanya) again clearly highlighting his fiery nature, leadership qualities, boastful, proud, larger than life persona. Mars placed in the 9th from Navamsa lagna indicates that fighting spirit, be totally prepared for any fight, litigation, controversy.

Kumbha (Aquarius) Lagna with lord Saturn placed in 2nd house of wealth, assets with exalted Yogakaraka Venus - very strong position. but Sat and Jupiter have exchanged signs can give opposite results that align with ownership. 5th and 8th lord Mercury is in the 10th house - again indicating the link between 8th house in substantial rise in wealth, status.
Mars and Mercury have exchanged signs - there relationships can provide interests in Prithvi tattva Earth element (Mercury) and Agni Tattwa Fire (Mars). Virgo is a earthy sign, while Scorpio is a watery sign.
Earthy signs tend to indicate tangible assets, landed property, construction, digging up, mines, tunnels.

Life Events.
He started his business thru a very small real estate property in 1975.
Mar 1975 he began his 6yr Sun Mahadasha and Sun as lagna lord in 10th with Rahu (7th lord) makes perfect sense. Sun is placed in the Navamsa lagna (new beginnings)

He met his first wife Ivana and married her around 1977.
Sun-Rahu are placed in the Navamsa lagna (giving new beginnings); Sun/Rahu runs from May 1976-Apr 1977.

His Upapada Lagna is in Aries (Mesha) with Rahu-Sun in the 2nd. So they will support the first marriage and also result in breaking it down. Note that his Arudha Lagna is in the 12th from AL (using AL1) - so he'll be giving it up later on in 1992.

Commonly 7th lord in 6th, 8th or 12th can result in destroying marriages. Also Venus a planet of relationships placed in 6th, 8th or 12th can cause damage to one's relationship.
He has the 7th lord Saturn placed in the 12th house with Venus - thereby triggering the case for multiple affairs, marriages. also Mars aspects the 7th house so causing affairs linked to destroying marriages.

There are other marriages in 1999 (Marla Maples) and 2005 (Melania Knauss) with multiple kids from each of his marriages.
