How to understand the combination Al is same as UL?

Yes ,porovided the following is observed:-
The Arudha Pada cannot be in the starting rashi, nor in the 7th-from starting rashi.

I go ou point but i am unable to understand it with respect to my query.

In natal chart , 9th house is AL, UL as well as GL. What can we infer from this??

You lagna is Gemini and Mer is in 11H so 9H Aquarius becomes ur AL.
In 12H, Ven is placed hence by exception principle of Arudh, so 9H Aquarius becomes ur UL
Now lets analyze ur chart from AL/UL:
2L/11L Jup is in Lagna, great dhan yoga.
LL Sat is in 10H, combination for name/fame.
4L Ven in 4H make Malvya Mahapurush yoga.
Plz remember that AL indicates how people will perceive you. From this chart it seems that you'll be considered as a very successful person with high repute.

1. Can we see these effects more pronounced only during the MD & AD of JU, SA and Venus.
Is it advisable to use Vimshotri MD along with AL/UL.

2. What is your opinion on 3rd house from AL/UL (4 planets in 3rd house from AL/UL)

Plz analyze chart from AL in the same way as that from Lagna or Moon (Analyze 3H in same way).
You can use Vimshottari dasha.
Jamini dasha generally calculated from Lagna only.

If Rahu is in AL in Libra sign what does it indicate about the impression formed on people? Will people perceive that way only in Rahu / Venus periods or throughout life?

AL indicates how othe rpeople will perceive you throughout life.
The effects can be more pronouned in the dasha of concerned planet.

If UL and AL are in same house which is occupied by Exalted/swarashi Jupiter or exalted mercury or exalted moon etc then the quality of that planet would become base of the relationship between the couple. This is the teaching by Nikhilji. If there are no planets in that house, the aspecting planet may play a key role in deciding the relationship.

There is one more contradicting opinion about this placement. If they are in same house,that denotes a fall. Rajya nasa yoga. This denotes loss of wealth.


If UL is 12th from AL in any chart,there could be difference of opinions between native and his/her spouse.But this difference of opinion will get reduced if the native's spouse's lagna is trines to
native's UL.In this case the tatwas becomes same and it helps a lot in nullifying the problems due to bad placement of UL with respect to AL. This is one opinion scholars have about AL/UL 2/12 position. This has another intrpretation also. Either spouse rejects native or native rejecting spouse.
