Is Gulika Kaala important?

Namaste,

Is Gulika Kaala important for any auspicious work? Especially for an upanayana muhurtham?
I read in many forums that death rituals should not be performed? That means, for all other auspicious events, it is OK to keep the muhurtham if Gulika kaalam is there?

If we get a nishpanchaka muhurtham (eg : between 6:15 am to 8:15 am) and if there is Gulika kaalam (7:35 am to 9:11), Does it really matter for the muhurtham?

Gulika kaalam has the potency to increase the repetition of that event. So it is avoided to carry out the bad things in practice.
