Post by Moon child » 17 May 2018

For instance, in Virgo lagna if the 7th house (Jupiter) is the maraka sthan and the planet Saturn is placed here(lord of 5th and 6th) will Saturn completely lose significance and act as a maraka as well?

For reference
Birth: 7th December 1996
Time: 1:51 am
Place: Mumbai, India.

A planet does not loose its lordship significance when it is occupied in another place.

e.g. Saturn lord of 5,6 in 7th house, signifies all houses - 5,6,7 -children, loans, marriage, maraka, etc.
But maraka does not come first. It comes only when the lifespan ends. Before this, Saturn runs his other significations like 5th and 6th.

In your chart, Saturn is in 6th house, not in 7th. Saturn is at 6°; 7th house is at 10°; so Saturn is behind 7th.
But Ketu is at 10° and in 7th house.

So Jupiter and Saturn dasas will definitely NOT give maraka.

All the charts generated show that my Saturn is in the 7th house. How is that the case? Could you please shed some light on this

the difference between Rasi and House -
Rasi means 30°.
A Rasi extends from 0° to 29°-59''.
We have 12 such Rasis (signs).

A Rasi lasts for 2 hours, and we call it as lagna.
So, we can say - the span of each lagna is 2 hours time.
So in 24 hours time, we have 12 lagnas.
2 hours x 12 lagnas = 24 hours = 1 day.

A lagna's span is 30° in zodiac.
So, it takes 2 hours of time for 30°, or
it means to pass 30° in zodiac, 120 minutes of time is required.
for 1° in zodiac, it requires 4 minutes in time.

When lagna degree is 10°, it means

10° x 4 minutes = 40 minutes in time.

It means the native was Not born at the time of beginning of lagna,
but was born after the time span of 40 minutes.

That's why lagna is at 10°, and 7th house is at 10°, i.e., exactly opposite of lagna.
Now if Saturn is before this 10°, it means, Saturn is in 6th house.

All softwares have equal house system or whole sign system as the default house system.
They can not show the correct house, where a planet is placed.

So, better, change the house system settings as 'placidus house system' in softwares.
Can change this setting in Jhora software too.
Then bhava chart will show Saturn in 6th house.

Greetings to all learned members,
I have a question for a situation when 2nd house lord and 7th house lord are posited in there respective 2nd &7th house. As a rule planets in own house are good.
Now in case of 7th lord (in 7th) mahadasa with antardasa of 2nd lord (in 2nd), should it be considered threatening to life or any further details are to be considered. (Asc-Scorpio)
Case data: 16/4/1996; 21.50 ; Palampur (HP)
