Hi,

I am looking at my chart to see if there are Dhan yogas if any. I have always struggled for money- have no property yet or a vehicle yet of my own.

However, my 2nd and 5th lord Jupiter is exalted and also the 11th lord Mercury is exalted. But I haven't seen huge amount of money yet. I had also read somewhere that Venus in 12th is sufficient enough to give a luxurious life. I have Venus in own mooltrikona house in 12th.

To add to this 9th lord Moon in its own house.

Where is the problem lying I am trying to figure it out. Can somebody put a light on this?

Your observations about your chart are right, but problem seems to be the dasha sequence you are stuck in until now. 2nd and 5th lord Jupiter exalted, and in 9th house with 9th lord, this should be good by itself, as a big factor in giving wealth. So why hasn't it worked? Some say that gaja-kesari yoga is only effective in Kendras OR if moon is in quadrant to Jupiter . Similarly some believe that Nipuna (budhaaditya) yoga from Sun-Mercury conjunction only works in 6th, 8th and 12th houses. Yet others say that Jupiter in 8th or 12th will cause great harm in its mahadasha. whom to believe in all these half-cooked theories??

Your Jupiter mahadasha got over in 1980 (using standard vinshottari 120 year dasha scheme). After that you have been running Saturn until 1999, Mercury until 2016 and now Ketu until 2023. Mercury is a malefic ruling 8th and 11th house. Neither mercury nor Shani are friends of lagnesh Mangal, who himself gone to 12th thereby weakens the chart, and makes you mangalik - impulsive, temperamental, irrational at times? Mars-Venus in 12th leading to many affairs?

Yes, Venus in 12th gives luxury life with fondness for expensive items. Venus dasha in 2023 can take you abroad (I.e. if you still live in native place in INdia). And this venus can also give benefits thru spouse.

All this teaches you an important principle - don't look to astrology for SOLUTIONS to problems. It can only give some analysis of what/why something didn't work or went wrong, most likely because your "prevailing time wasn't right". It is of no use when it comes to fixing problems. Only to check if given time is suitable for a specific type of activity. If timing is wrong, nothing in life "happens at the right time" or works out. And as you grow older you realize its too late to catch up, too late to fix it.

Also, in D9 or navmansh chart, there are malefics in kendras, mars-rahu in Capricorn lagna, and Rahu-Ketu on 1-7 axis. Lagna lord of D9 Saturn again gone to 8th house (although he's vargottam being in Leo in both D1 and D9). In D1 lagnesh Mars had gone to 12th, here saturn gone to 8th. All in all, placements of planets are not favorable to each other. This group (Shani-Mercury-ketu) came and attacked your best years -- 30s and 40s, and spoiled them. So now you have to try harder, or pray to luck to cast some favours to you.

So these yogas and planetary placements don't matter at all if you are not running a favourable dasha. They will never materialise.

You also said Mar-Venus in 12th leading to many affairs but that it not the case. There has been only one or two. It could be because of Saturn's aspect on Ma-Ve in 12th and also on 7th. Also I am not married yet.

You also said pray to luck to cast favours to you - Which diety/God should I pray to? The dasha lord or the malefics/or the benefits failing to give results. Its all confusing and frustrating.

Correct. Yoga is a promise, not certainty. They only bear fruit when the dasha anterdasha of yoga-causing planets comes. But it may never come.... or come too late. Person may have yogas promised at age 60 but if he dies in a road accident at 35, meaning his life is ended quickly, then the yoga will never come to pass and is not of any use to him right?

Have you ever heard of the saying, "Maut ayee thi, lekin waqt nahin aaya tha". It means, Death had come, but it was not his time to go. Still had few more years left and was spared.

Also remember -- the ability to enjoy "the fruits (results) of the yoga" is totally different. Yoga may come to pass but it may bring harm along with it. Husband died in railway accident, state awarded an ex-gratia payment to widow is an example of Vipreet raj yoga = Gain but with permanent loss of life partner.

Astrology is nothing but the study of time and its effects on us and the environment we live in.

So then why to study astrology if it offers no solutions.

If you read someone's chart and said "Hey you will have a rich/beautiful spouse... but sorry you are not going to get married at all. The period may never come."

It is an useless study. Like you said " It can only give some analysis of what/why something didn't work or went wrong..." And DO WHAT WITH THAT ANALYSIS?

you are getting angry at wrong person, so I will I will give one last reply here.

Not everyone wants to know how rich they will become or when. Some are trying to find shubh muhurat for marriage, some want to know is progeny promised, yet others trying to SELF IMPROVE, where a chart can reveal flaws (this is what dosha really means) in personality or character that is preventing growth.

Before I answer your question (should be obvious if you read between lines), ask yourself the following:

1. Whats the difference between a doctor and a reputed highly successful, world-class surgeon?
2. Whats the difference between TV news reader and famous Bollywood star been around for 10-15 years?
3. Whats the difference between school teacher and Superintendent or CEO of district school board?

Again for analysis purposes only, chart reading tells you whether something is even PROMISED!! Otherwise you will be wandering in the desert aimlessly, looking for a yoga ... when nothing in your chart indicates that there is any such potential. Learn the difference between POSSIBILITY (charts etc) and PROBABILITY (mathematical, provable fact). Probability is actually used in forecasting and trends analysis, because it is supported by hard data.

I will also add that astrology is misused in India because people are always trying to find short cuts, cheat others, profit at other's expense, etc. Easy but not successful in the end. Hence my comments that it does not offer solutions to most people. Any bhondu baba is good enough (or god enough) for them

This is completely wrong interpretation, on YOUR part. Any reasonable astro will say, you have 50%, 70%, 80% chances of getting married at such and such period. In next 6 month, or 1 year, or 5 years from now, or never. It can be seen from chart, extreme delay or denial.

Only if that condition is TRUE, will he tell about spouse, her nature, profession, whether same caste or religion, known to you etc. He will not waste time analysing spouse if no marriage is promised!

And what is delay? Passage of time, wastage of time. Everything in the world is a function of time.

My post was not aimed at you personally sir. My apologies if you felt it. I also never asked for solutions if you read my first post.

You are right sir about people using Astrology for different reasons. I often quote the famous quote by JP Morgan “Millionaires don't use astrology, billionaires do,”. By understanding your own astrological chart you can begin to learn about your strengths and mainly your weaknesses. Just because something is promised does not mean it will happen, but if something is promised you can focus your energy and hard work on bringing it to fruition. Still that may not happen. You only have to keep working for it.

As far as my chart is concerned I understand that yogas are there for money but the time may come very very late or never at all. Not a problem. I was actually trying to understand the interpretation of money/finance in my chart. I just needed a proper analysis from the astrologers in this forum.

P.S. I only believe in the adage “The harder you work the luckier you get,” So for my sake will you also tell me if I am getting married anytime OR that is also not possible in this lifetime.?
