Mr.rao-sanskrit is a very great and mystic, encrypted language.so due its nature great scholars of sanskrit also errs in there translations ,esply the context and meaning for that particular words.Look at the following wrong translations in tamil. They have quite different meanings but the translators put what they understood about that word. For example-take bharani itself, its ruler is venus is a feminine,if moon also placed in such feminine shell[star],what is the outcome? There is a lot of hidden meaning in bharani star.I know people who born in bharani either as lazy guys or in hard sun marketing jobs, bullock cart operators, brick manufactures, farmers, horticulturists and other low paid professions.I never saw a politician or cm or pm with this star.It is totally blind translation of some half knowledged scholars only. our fate is ,such wrong translations are not corrected by known scholars and still they are under validation.

Dev ji, it seems that Mercury is not attributed to Mathematics, instead Ketu is attributed!
I understood in this vaguely, Ketu doesn't have head, Ketu can go beyond thoughts, but I don't know why is it only attributed to Mathematics & why not other Shaastras!
Mercury is just for communication, just passing the information, he's a God's messenger.
What do you say?
Thanks!

Well I certainly don’t FEEl smart because I have an Aquarius asc sister with exalted mercury in conjunction with sun in 8th house, aspected by mars in 2nd, Jupiter in 4th, and Saturn in 11th.
Plus she’s also a Libra moon.
I’ve also my family is smart too.
But while I was growing up, I didn’t consider myself smart in the traditional sense because I pick up things quickly when I give focus in a peaceful, serious, nonschool environment.
And I’m not at all sociable/good with small communication. Maybe because of the triple water signs, and the Saturn moon conjunction.
Mercury IS the 3rd/12th lord afterall, sitting in my 6th.
You asked what I’m doing, I and my sister have had a break in our educations ever since the beginning of her and my father’s sade sati.
Isn’t it weird that I should be so affected by it?? Like I was trapped completely. In fact my mother’s life was terrible during the Sade sati as well. As if my mother and I were having Sade sati too!
My life is starting to get a bit better now that it’s over. I turned 20. Will join premed under the guidence is my mother.

Thanks for the reply! Yes I would say I’m a fearful person. I have a fear of being happy or ever experiencing joy while living in the physical plane. I know it’s weird. In my head, happiness or joy while still in the physical body is only temporary, and I dread the temporary-ness.
It’s gotten so peculiar. I catch myself reminding myself to be unhappy/emotionless/calm/unmoved when I’m happy about small simple things or just happy for no reason.
I’ve prevented myself from achieving certain goals and overcoming certain things in life(which I could have done with ease) for fear of giving into the happiness which would follow it, however momentary it would be.
It’s weird because my life has been pretty good. I haven’t experienced any sexual/physical/verbal abuse or trauma to be thinking like this. My mother/sister are very very loving. I don’t have much of a connect with my father and he’s not a very good man honestly, but still he’s always been polite/pleasant with me. My parents aren’t divorced. So I don’t know..?
Now that I think about it, my only other extreme fears is of being blamed, and being perceived as different from others. I would do absolutely anything not to be blamed, and to be seen as same/average/normal in other’s eyes. Another weird thing which I can’t explain.
Your second question, do I look back or down a lot? I honestly haven’t really noticed myself doing this. Why do you ask?

Namah Shivaaya,
For those who don't understand Tamizh.
Translation: Mother earth will cry who's born under star Bharani. I think it doesn't feel good.
Bharaniyil means in Bharani, Piranthavan means who born under, Dharani means Earth in संस्कृतम्, Aluvaan means cry (it's actually Azhuvaan, pronunciation is a bit different)

I do feel mercury is for mathematics apart from many other attributes. My father was an all india first in math and then went on to do his IAS. He had exalted mercury in lagna.
Dev ji, I should think of it & nice to know that your father has Bhadra yogam with exalted Mercury in Lagna
