Hello,
I am 33 and have not yet chosen a career to pursue. I would most like to study to become an acupuncturist, but in the United States this has a heavy cost of close to 100k which would be paid for with student loans. I am worried I would not be able to pay them back comfortably and live a life doing something I love but living in a very low standard of living.
This line of thought has led me to look into a career such as ultrasound technician, because the schooling costs much less and thefield guarantees a good income. It's also a strictly non-toxic line of work; meaning, if I went to nursing school I'd be forced to give people medicines they probably don't need due to the greedy nature of pharmacetical companies in the west.
Am I missing something? Should I pursue some other field altogether? I want to start now, or soon, so I can be free to have a baby when I graduate or it will be too late. Provided I find a husband, that is. Skies don't look very sunny in that arena either, though I am beautiful, sweet, caring, and intelligent.
