My birth details are as below
DOB:12-12-1981
Place:Chennai
Time:10:05 pm
Career growth has been mediocre and stagnant for some time.I am receiving onsite job opportunities outside my current organization but they are all contract based for a year and not long term.Is there a possibility to travel abroad for work now in the Sat-Rahu period and will it be stable?Or is it advisable to stick with the same organization till the completion of Sat-Rahu and look for internal job movement? Please advise.Thanks!!

Attempting job change during Saturn/Rahu or Rahu/Saturn is not advisable unless you have no choice. If you lose the job now, it could be impossible to regain it till the end of this period.

Thanks for the update.I have been getting conflicting opinions of Sat-Rahu.A few astrologers opined that as Rahu is Vargottama in Gemini,there shall be gains in profession and onsite opportunities.Please suggest how Sat-Rahu would be generally.Would career take off only at the start of Mercury Mahadasha?

In rashi chart Rahu is in Cancer, but in bhava chalit moves to Gemini. Vargottama in rashi and navamsha (D9). Shani and Rahu are similar in nature and results they can give, hence one is told to exercise caution. That said, you are best judge of how one offer is better (or worse) than the other, and how and if its fits in with your career profile and growth.
Your Shani-Rahu are 3-11 so not bad. Shani is malefic for Cancer, and because it also aspects your moon, who is lagnesh gone to 12th house, the opportunity will materialize and you will be able to act on it - but there will be good and bad that go along with it. Any kind of problem in foreign land, where you are unable to adjust, find new jobs, or have friends company, could lead to depression, mood issues, etc. Shani-Rahu generally lasts for over 2.5 years, so the effects can be quite harsh if its unfavorable to you.

Sorry for the late response.I have not taken up the onsite opportunity as it was contract based to be renewed each year.With Jupiter transit into 6th house in Oct,all the transits as well look bad.I am trying to look for opportunities within my organization.Thanks for your inputs.I trust career opportunities would significantly improve only by Mercury Mahadasa which is around 5 years away.
