I have recently developed a tremendous appreciation for vedic astrology thanks to Barbara Pijan Lama's website.

Regarding number of marriages, I have been told I will have two "marriage-like" relationships, with the second culminating in marriage. This marriage will be a bit late in terms of Indian families. I was also told the first man would be dark-skinned, much older to me and orthodox. The second person (who I am actually supposed to marry) will have lighter colour skin. That's all my astrologer told me when I had gone to see him 5 years back when I did not believe in astrology that much. I thought it was all rubbish and didn't ask for clarifications!

I can see how Saturn caused my first partner to be elder, hard working and traditional. We broke up a long time back because he was emotionally abusive. And yes, he was dark-skinned.

The second relationship was with a person my age who belongs to a different community.This relationship did not last because it was long distance and we met very infrequently. Also, he was very career-oriented and couldn't give me much time.

The current man is also my age, and everything is perfect with us, except I am not sexually attracted towards him. He belongs to the same community as my family.

I am sure my first partner was the first major relationship. But I am confused if any of the other two count as the other major relationship leading to marriage, or is that still someone I haven't met till now? Both these men had lighter skin colour than my first partner, and none of them were orthodox.
