Should one check for the 7th lord (main chart) placement in the D9 chart as a key indicator of the nature of marriage? In my chart, Saturn is the 7th lord (from the natal chart) and is placed in 5th house (Scorpio) in the main chart, but is sitting in a dushtana house (6th house Pisces) in the navamsa chart. Does that indicate trouble in marriage - like a sickly spouse?

Firstly I would like to say, the 7th lord birth chart's position in the navamsha could mean many things. A common reaction to any planet in a dusthana is that it's "bad", this is simplistic. The obsticles of the 6th house are not inherently bad, they are critical and conflict-oriented. Many planets love to deal with obsticles, they become very critical and smart. Saturn happens to be one of them, but to check the condition of Saturn look at its lord Jupiter in the D9 chart as well as aspects and conjunctions that may be affecting it.
The results of the placement you're describing simply mean that your original energy of compromise and relationship engage the conflict of the houses its ruling in the D9 after a partnership is formed. Since it is the 4th and 5th lord in the D9 it will more so relate to the path of your home and children.
Check the 1st house and 7th house of your D9. This will show the condition of you and your spouse after a partnership is formed.
Secondarily, check the placement of your birth chart's 9th lord in the D9 chart, and the 9th lord of the D9 itself. This will show if your spouse will be helpful or detrimental in your path towards personal success.

Hello. My parents had consulted an astrologer and looking at my chart he told them that my marriage would not work out if I married before 30 and I should rather wait till 35 plus to marry in order to avoid a divorce scenario. He asked me to get a yellow saphirre gemstone and wear it on my right hand. Can someone tell me the logic behind this prediction? Is the 7th lord placement in D9 the problem? Thanks a lot. What you said makes sense. Jupiter is sitting in the navamsa lagna (libra) and he is the 9th lord from the the D1 chart. And Aries is the 7th house in D9 and Mars (his lord) is sitting in the fourth house Capricorn navamsa. The 9th lord of D9 (Mercury) is sitting with Saturn in Pisces navamsa (6th house). So based on Mars' placement in navamsa I am guessing the spouse would concern primarily with 4th house matters (that is home).

Other than Rasi, no other varga has "houses", so 7th lord of Rasi being in 6th house of Navamsa is not much meaningful. 6th house for your chart remains Sagi and cannot keep changing depending on varga ( referring to your different thread on this topic)
A few other observations -
- Perhaps an intercaste liaison, if not exactly marriage - which might have commenced around 2010
- marriage around time of your 30th birthday - i.e. around this time next year, give or take
- Career is related to communication of some sort, so if not writing, try public speaking, or taking up a cause for less privileged, an NGO, if you will

The ascendent of navamsa changes almost every 12 minutes,it is usual that wrong interpretations are made in respect of navamsa on account of that.
Practically, navamsa rasi of a particular bhava lord would be more useful than the navamsa house position.

I was in a relatively long relationship that began in early 2009 and ended sometime around 2010. I was also in another relationship around 2013 that lasted for close to a year. Not sure about the inter-caste aspect of it, but the people I was seeing were from other cities so it is very likely that we were different in that respect.
My career at present is related to communication. I work as an editor in an IT company, although monetarily it is very rewarding, I do not enjoy what I do and I am looking at the possibility of becoming self-employed or moving into teaching one day if luck holds.
I tried using Jaimini and Nadi concepts in which both mentioned that when Jupiter transits my second from upapada (i.e scorpio) that the marriage would occur. I wasn't sure of this concept, but Jupiter's transit would occur between the ages 31 and 32. I'd love to know more about how you arrived at the 30th birthday answer. I am just an amateur when it comes to reading charts so please don't take my interpretations as a mark of disrespect to your calculations. I am just eager to learn.

I checked in my chart that the navamsa lagna changes in 4 mins. If I tried putting 13:41 as my birth time then the navamsa changes to Virgo lagna. If I apply 13:45, which is the time in my birth certificate, it shows libra as my navamsa lagna.
