Hi,

We know that the Kalapurusha chart is Aries ascendant. There is perfect one-to-one mapping between zodiac sign numbers and house numbers. So is such a chart special astrologically? By 'special' I don't mean person is great etc, but rather from astrological case study point of view whether such a chart is special in certain sense. Because significators of signs are similar to the significators of houses with the same numbers. For example 12th sign which is Pisces also has to do with Moksha and also the 12th house is related to Moksha. Such a mapping between significators of signs and houses can only happen in case of Aries Ascendant.

Well I am Aries ascendent, but that's not why I am asking this :) . I am just curious of this question astrologically.

Thanks

Dear ddd
If we say all Aries Asc people are special, its too generalized statement.
Wise sages have identified 108 personality traits and associated them with 108 nak padas. Hence we've 12 signs containing 9 navamsa each. So each one of them is special. With each lifetime, we learn so many thing and move on to the next karmic class.
People with Leo Asc have their own traits and do so the people with Virgo or Libra or for that matter all 12 have their own unique characteristics. So nothing is gud or bad, its just the lessons and the karmas.
God bless you

Maybe so, but what I find fascinating is the interesting parallelism between the arrangement of rulerships which are concordant with the orbital arrangement of the bodies that make the solar system (at least the segment that we use in jyotish; not so much in those utilized by western astrology). And yet, the physical sun that is the central nucleus of the solar system is not the center of the zodiacal arrangement -- perhaps because the astrological sun is not the same as the geocentric sun that we refer to in astrologically?

So interesting...!

While Dr. Neeraj's response is probably as good of an answer as you're going to get, you can weigh the technical advantages of ascendants.

For instance, an Aries ascendant lacks a Yoga Karaka. Most other ascendants have a yoga Karaka, you could call this a disadvantage.

For Aries ascendant you can also see that planets that are doing well, in there own home or exalted, do exceptionally well because they're in a comfortable house as well. Planets who are in bad condition, are in exceptionally bad condition. For instance a Venus in Virgo will be in the 6th house, a negative sign placement and an uncomfortable house for the sign. A moon in cancer however would be in the 4th house, a very comfortable moon. Other ascendants will tend towards more complex situations through house and sign placement.

It gets very complex and diluted when you technically assess each ascendant and I do believe that there are more and less advantageous ascendants as far as ease in life.
I personally believe that the Leo ascendant has the most potential.

Dear PM
I agree with you. Along with Lagna, a complete study of entire chart and the transit is better for prediction.
It will be quite interesting to study the chart of natives with Leo Asc who are born from Oct 16th-Nov 15th of any year as this time LL Sun will be debilitated.
God bless
Neeraj
