Apologies if this is a simplistic question..
Would strengthening the defeated planet in a Graha Yuddha through any means like gemstone/mantra etc, affect the beneficial effects of the winner?
I have a situation where there's GY between Mercury and Mars in my 10th house, both of which have beneficial effects. If we go by the dictum that the one with lesser longitude wins, Mercury is the winner. Also he is exalted in his own house in the 10th house. But Mars who has Dig Bala in 10th house, suffers due to the GY.
Kindly advise.

Generally defeated planet gives trouble. then why you are increasing the trouble by wearing its gem.
When simply looking , Mars is a Rowdy and Mercury is a Child.
Why you let your child to get influence of the rowdy.

I do not agree with this .
A respected astrolger(known SJC guru) has suggested gem for a planet which lost in GY (budhadithya yoga). The person's chart is being analysed by me.
I have posted the chart before.
Native has been suggested Emerald
DOB 27 Nov 75, Time: 8:43 A.M.
Place 80E55 26N 51.
Mercury is combust, defeated in planetary war, is in 12th house, has kendradhipathi dosha.
I do not understand the logic of this suggestion hence I question it.

Which yard scale you used to measure the RESPECT of that
SJV Guru ?
Mercury is an enunch planet , when wears gem for it, this reduces the sex feeling ( the world revolves in the axe of love and sex )

I did not agree with your opinion...it has nothing to do with you...
SJC guru is repsected by his peers and is renowed astrologer....so I value his opinion. This is the yardstick. He has made accurate predications in past so I recommend my aquaintances to contact him.
I am trying to find why he suggested Emerald when Me is so weak..
Me is eunuch planet --- I know that that is why emerald is worn on little finger only when it is for educational purpose, otherwise you must wear it on ring finger or middle finger.
The native is wearing it on ring finger this was explained by SJC guru very clearly.

Some astrolgers recommend gems for bad planets to strengthen them, other school believes that a bad planet's gem will multiply its bad effects.
That is why mantra is considered a better remedy as it impacts mind and thoughts, the root cause for our weakness.

Actually in my case, I feel low in confidence most of the time and do not assert my position strongly when the situation demands. So I was thinking that Mars needed to be strengthened, through chanting or some other means. In the Graha Yuddha Mars is getting defeated by Mercury. It's good in one way because I am respected in my job for my intellectual capability. But the problem with Mars remains. Hope I have clarified.
