Bhagyalakshmi Yoga This Yoga is formed when the lord of 9H is in highest exalt ion point identical with a Kendra and aspected by a benefic with Lord of Lagna is possessed of abundant strength.


This Yoga makes one wealthy, noble learned , a person of high integrity and reputation ,handsome in appearance, a good ruler and administrator and enjoying all the pleasure and comforts of life .

9L Venus is in 12H in sign Leo in retrograde motion. So this yoga is not applicable .

Can we take this yoga liberally like 9L Saturn in Lagna and Pushkara Navamsa, aspected by 10L/7L Vargottama Aquarius Jupiter from 9th house and 2L Moon from 7th house.

Actually I was about to write something on this, but by Providence, Anuradha came up with this post.

My 9th lord Jupiter may not be in Kendra BUT :

(1) It aspects the 4th bhava. A trine.

(2) It aspects the 10th bhava. Jupiter cast a 75% Saturn aspect according to Wikipedia and Parasara's clause 126.

(3) It cast a Jaimini aspect to my Ascendant. A Jaimini strongest aspect between Aquarius and Cancer. Although this is a Parasara Yoga and technically speaking we should use Parasara aspects, but this particular Yoga does not mention about aspects but only on placements in kendras. In that case, if we take the definition liberally, and substitute aspect for placements, we can then use both Jaimini and Parasara aspects.

(4) Saturn, retrograde, which disposits my Jupiter sitting in Aquarius.

Thus all my 4 kendras receive considerable Jupiter influence.

In addition :

(5) Jupiter is Bhavam Varogottam which is like a Kendra as well.

(6) It is in Pushkara Navamsa. In fact on Pushkara Bhaga.

(7) Jupiter is also exalted.

(8) It attains also a Vipareet Raja Yoga.

How about my Ascendant Lord? It is the Moon.

(1) It is the Atmakaraka.

(2) As an AK, it sits together with Saturn the PK which becomes a Raja Yoga in Jainini. Again here we are bringing in Jaimini Yogas because the definition of this Yoga is that the Ascendant Lord must be strong. It does not pinpoint it must be strong using Parasara dicta only.

(3) Moon sits in a Nakshatra of Mars which is the AmK.

(4) Moon participates in Parajita Yoga amongst other yogas.

So we can be liberal in the definition of the yoga but its pertinent points can be satisfied in other ways like using Jaimini dicta and bhavam vargottam. However, if there are parts in the definition of the Yoga which are very precise, then no amount of relaxation of the rules over these parts.

Just an observation that the above combination is possible only for Aries, Cancer, Virgo and Scorpio lagna.

Aries Lagna -> 9th lord Jupiter is exalted in 4th in Cancer
Cancer Lagna -> 9th lord Jupiter is exalted in 1st in Cancer
Virgo Lagna -> 9th lord Venus is exalted in 7th in Pisces
Scorpio Lagna -> 9th lord Moon is exalted in 7th in Taurus

and aspected by a benefic

This requirement makes it more exclusive if we are to consider that the aspecting planet is not only a natural benefic but also a functional benefic.

a) Aries Lagna -> 9th lord Jupiter is exalted in 4th in Cancer
For Aries lagna, functional benefics that are also natural benefics are Moon and Jupiter and since Jupiter here needs an aspect, Moon has to be in Capricorn. But if Moon is close to Sun, it may be considered a natural malefic.

b) Cancer Lagna -> 9th lord Jupiter is exalted in 1st in Cancer
For Cancer langa, functional benefics that are also natural benefics are again Moon and Jupiter, therefore Moon has to be in Capricorn once again. Here also if Moon is close to Sun, it may be considered a natural malefic.

c) Virgo Lagna -> 9th lord Venus is exalted in 7th in Pisces
For Virgo lagna, functional benefics that are also natural benefics are Mercury and Venus. Since Mercury cannot be opposite to Venus, it has to be conjunct with Venus in Pisces. Here, Mercury is debilated.

d) Scorpio lagna -> 9th lord Moon is exalted in 7th in Taurus
For Scorpio lagna, functional benefics that are also natural benefics are Moon, Jupiter. Since Moon in Taurus needs an aspect, Jupiter has to be in Virgo or Scorpio or Capricorn. Jupiter is in enemy's sign in Virgo and debilated in Capricorn. Therefore, Jupiter in Scorpio is best.

Out of the above 4 situations, the last situation with Scorpio lagna with Jupiter in Scorpio aspecting 9th lord Moon who is exalted in Taurus seems to be the best.

Needless to say, this is a very rare yoga if we are to apply literally.

In all cases where 9th lord exalted in kendra also makes mahapurusha yoga, and on top of it Moon being kendra to Jupiter will also make a gajakesari yoga. How could one separate the effects of one yoga from another?

Yes this Yoga is applicable on your charts though LL is weak and under sign exchange with 8L Mars. Results of this yoga are written above, kindly check whether it is applicable on you or not.
