though i have this yoga and i am a doctor by profession -strangely i am unmarried. i want to get married at the earliest. as per vedas i and my ancestors cannot attain liberation if a son doesnt perform last rites and yearly rites according to shastras.

Sir, this is not correct per my understanding. In fact the Vedas state one has to give up the desires for children, wealth and other worldly matters, if one were to attain liberation.

Hi Arjun109 -

You're forgetting that Mercury is a eunuch planet, as is Saturn. Mercury is Lagna lord occupying Lagna, and casting a harsh direct aspect on his marriage/partner house. No wonder marriage is delayed.

He doesn't want to get married because -- he loves someone, its the right time, he wants to settle down -- any of the usual reasons. He wants a wife so she can produce a son for him, who'll then allow him and all his ancestors to attain liberation. Really?? Wow. Makes sense why he is not able to get married. What if the wife begets a daughter? What if they remain childless and are forced to adopt??

Show me where in the Vedas it says that only men are allowed to do last rites. Many women not only accompany their loved ones who've passed, to the funeral home, but they also perform the last rites. Show me one pundit-ji or purohit who DARE say no to a daughter or wife, to give Agni to their dad or husband. I challenge you.

Let me remind you, even Lord Vishnu has to bow to his wife, the divine goddess Lakshmi. Once sage Brighu wanted to perform a yagna, and decided to invite Lord Vishnu to preside over it. Vishnu was asleep, Brighu waited for awhile then got mad and really impatient. He kicked Vishnu to wake him up from his slumber, Vishnu got up and apologized to the sage, saying that he was sorry he fell asleep and didn't mean to make his guest wait...

Watching all this, Lakshmi was furious, that this person comes to her house and kicks her husband. She cursed Brighu and the entire clan of Brahmins, that they'll always be poor, forever bereft of her blessings, and if she mistakenly visits their home ever, she would make sure to never stay there. That curse was not reversed even when Vishnu begged her, to have some mercy on Brighu. Finally she relented, that he'd have to codify the entire future of humanity i.e. write an astrological treatise, and only then maybe she'd reconsider.

Yet the damage was already done. As proof, witness the downfall of Brahmins, all the way from ancient India till today. So don't underestimate the power of women, not even in in our own ancient texts. Women are (indirect) creators and maintainers of all life. The seed must find a home to grow. And let us not even go into Durga, Kali and the horrendous negative energies that they represent.

Hi Arjun109 -

I wasn't meaning to rant at you, sorry if it came across that way. The motive that the OP expressed for wanting to get married is what rankled me. I find it hard to believe someone can even say that.

We HAVE to be hyper-vigilant about ideas, concepts and viewpoints that aim to take us backward in time. For e.g. the Manu smriti is extremely degrading to women, yet many religious heads in India continue to propagate its half-truths. Its the kind of stuff that should've been discarded centuries ago.

I also believe the chart is flawed just like the OP's views. Saturn, a eunuch planet aspects Lagna with Mercury, another barren planet, sitting in it. 7th lord Jupiter is in 8th. Unless there's a favorable upcoming transit, seems like an uphill task to me but I could be totally wrong in my reading as I'm only a learner.

dear tanmish, i never said i want to get married to have a son. i only asked my doubt about liberation. please don't use harsh and demeaning language. if u or others want to clarify regarding liberation -u r welcomed to do so.but don't put the onus on me. i am born in a pious and ritualistic brahmin family in krishna yajurveda.my gothra is kousika.i myself do sandhya vandanam daily and i have even have a mantra upadesha from a guru .i recite that mantra daily after sandhyavandanam. aslo i recite vishnusahasranama daily .i fast on ekadashis and during kartika masam i fast on all mondays, two ekadashis and kartika poornima. in fact my favourite goddess is gayathri devi.i even run free opd clinic for the underpriviledged and i a regular blood donor.what more do u want me to do.i hope that goes well with u.don't project me as a villian. i have seen here many rituals including homas; yagas; vratas etc .i have seen sroutha and smartha karmas. so its but natural for me to raise a doubt. but don't say that u people have to be wary of me.by the way a few years back way in 2006-2007 i had received more than 50 proposals.but i wanted to settle down in my career/profession first and then get married later. i am even prepared to adopt a girl child after marriage.i hope that clears things for u.please reflect ur astrological knowledge and prowess.god bless u.

dear tanmish, also regarding challenging brahmins regarding last rites i won't be able to answer that one.i have not studied vedas and shastras so u can very well challenge somebody if u have mastery in that knowledge and also someone who has mastered that not me. i have studied medicine under national open merit category without quota, tuitions or coaching .i have excellent diagnostic and treatment skills. so if u have anything in medicine u can ask me .that's it.also the reasons u write about my marriage are not correct.medicine unlike engineering is a lengthy field .it takes a long time complete medical education and acquire skills and knowledge.also due to quota system the seats are far and few for open category students.also for a middle class person its almost impossible to study under management quota which requires few lakhs to few crores .i hope u understand that.
i lost a brother few years back -mech engineer and a rec warangal passout. that also impacted my career and personal life.i hope that makes things quiet clear.don't make sweeping statements and damage others reputation.study jyotishshastra not only astrology.i hope that clears everything.god bless u.

Dear Tanmish, one of the basic rules for astrologers is to not bring despair to those consulting them and you my dear have been rather harsh I feel. Feminism and vigilantism is not part of Vedic astrology so let us not cloud our analysis !
drkrishna75

dear all, pranams.by the way what is a flawed chart in astrology and jyotish shastra.please let me know how my chart is flawed.by the way i have shown my horoscope to great scholars; astrologers and panchangkartas-one who write panchangas.none has said like that barring tanmish.please let me know what does that mean.as i allready said i don't have knowledge in astrology or jyotishshastra so it hurts me when someone says your chart is flawed .its like saying you are useless and you deserve to be in dustbin.by the way the astrologers include- Guruji B Sachidananda Babu ;dr.ramakrishnan nair; pandit suresh shrimali;kappagantulu somayajulu siddhanti garu;nemani siddhanti garu; v.t. govardhan ji; namboodripad ji etc.the list is endless.no one said its flawed.so please explain.god bless
with kind regards.

I am not sure Bhadra yoga in this case is unafflicted. Look at the Saturn lord of 5th and 6th aspecting the Ascendant and Lord of Ascendant.

The secret to his youthful looks could also be Moon in Moola Trikona sign in the 9th house(house of fortune) where the Moon rules 11th house. There is also a Chandra Mangala Yoga. Mars gives good blood and is benefiting from Moon's positive energy.
