Leo the center of Universe from Jan 30th to Aug 12th
--we know and I have often times alluded to the activation of houses under the dual aspect of shani and Jup the two heavy -weight slow moving highly influential planets through transits.
---Leo it has been the activated house since Jul 2015 under the dual aspect.
however Rah the 3rd heavy weight , slow moving planet that orbits the zodiac in 18 month( anti clockwise) has been in Vigo and moves also to Leo on 30th Jan.
--and then an already activate Leo comes under further heightened activity from 30th Jan to 12th Aug 2016...under the triple drishti of all 3 heavy-weights ( Jup and Rahu in Leo and under the 10th drishti of shani from scorpio)
the center of graviy of the chart will be Leo and by far the significations of Leo house will dominate the lives of humanity. Big, important, life changing, life defining events should happen during this period....with main theme focussed on Leo house.
when looking at net significations look at the yogas contained in Leo house and also the yogas that Lord of Leo ( planet Sun is involved in)
Best wishes and Greetings at all in 2016
regards--shilpa

Wishing you a very happy and prosperous 2016 Shilpa-ji.

Thanks for this update Shilpa ji.
My Ju is in the 8th house - though with high Ashtakvarga.
I wonder how you weigh this because good Ashtakvarga score is said to predominate a negative house?
I also guess Saturn will become retrograde around the period mentioned by you.

Hello Shilpaji -
This sounds pretty ominous! Is this combined transit good (or bad) for specific rashis (since you mentioned Leo will be focus of all "humanity")? In what sense is it likely to be good/bad for someone, i mean, what ascendants?
I didn't know Rahu was considered a heavyweight since its only a node of the moon. what with Shani and Mars getting together in Scorpio in March, its going to be fun, fun, fun for some people

I have already explained that this will result in exaggerated fructification of the yogas contained in the Leo house...tanmish wrote:Hello Shilpaji -

for those who have positive / strong yogas.....will hit bonanza.
Mars in transit has material impacts only when its MD or AD is running

Could be a good time for me. Although I thought the Jupiter transit into Leo would be awesome too since it has an ashtakavarga score of 7 in that house for me. Guess there's still some time left for this transit.
Aries Lagna, natally have Sun in 5th house Leo and aspected by 4th Lord Moon in the 11th house Aquarius. That's the only aspect the Sun has in my chart and I believe it's a Raj Yoga.

Hi Shilpaji,
I am expecting favourable results from the Rahu transit as,
In my case transit JU and Rahu aspects natal JU and Rahu in 9th and 11th house.
Currently running Rahu/saturn MD
How will this transit affect me?

A good post Shilpaji,
As rightly pointed out by you Rahu in Leo has an impact when influenced by Saturn and/or Jupiter. In this case it is a triple impact, though in its previous transits of Leo a double impact produced far reaching influences.
Leo is the fourth house from the Lagna of the Independence Chart. It is in the eighth house from Capricorn and the twelfth from Virgo, both signs associated with India.
On 15.7.1979 when the Janata Party Govt. under the leadership of Shri Morarji Desai fell Rahu was in Leo at 17 degrees in rapt conjunction with Saturn also at 17 degrees. It was transiting over Morarji Desai's Janma Rasi. Charan Singh took over on 28.7.1979. under similar influences but within a few months Indira Gandhi returned to power.
Similarly a snap election held in Feb/March 1998 saw Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee come to power on 19.3.1998 taking over the baton from I.K.Gujral, when Rahu was at 15 degrees Leo aspected by Jupiter from 16 degrees Aquarius.
Again on 17.4.1999 Vajpayee lost a motion of no confidence and headed a caretaker Govt till he won the elections decisively in October 1999 completing his full term.
So Rahu in Leo can be both a destabilizing factor and a bad muhurta as the governments sworn in under its influence don't seem to last.
Transit Rahu is currently conjoined over Narendra Modi's natal Sun and Mercury (both 0 degrees Virgo) and Kethu ( 5 degrees) and will join his natal Saturn ( 29 degrees Leo) on the 30th.
Transit Saturn is conjunct his natal Moon.
Transit Rahu is in Leo for only 18 months much before the next elections are scheduled to be held. Its conjunctions with Jupiter and its movements in the degrees similar to those occupied by Saturn should be studied.
Best regards,

That's food for thought. Good post!
While what is explained here by Shilpa and other members seems only logical and likely, I happened to look when similar (Not same) transits have occurred in past i.e. Jupiter, Saturn and Rahu impacting Leo together either through positions or aspects and it turned out that those weren't really the best of times for me I suppose. This is contrary to what could have possibly happened if the yogas in Leo were to stand exaggerated or so I believe for I've Raj yogas in Leo. I understand that there are other planets at play too and that these are just transits. Transits don't overrule dasha. Maybe my interpretation is wrong, otherwise, of the yogas occurring in Leo in my natal chart so if anybody is interested, still reading this and would like to explain what happened/ could happen then I'm providing a snapshot as well as the details
Snapshot: Lagna- Sagittarius. Lagna Lord Jupiter conjunct with 9L Sun in 9H. Mercury (7L and 10L) also participates in this conjunction and while Mercury and Jupiter are only over a degree apart (Though not in war), they are quite a few degrees apart from Sun. Rahu occupies ascendant and Saturn occupies 2H of Capricorn.
Details: 11th Sept 1991, 13:54:00, Mumbai

Hi Shilpa hi -
Interesting topic.
I am a Capricorn lagna and I have a full house in 8h Leo with Saturn Venus and Mercury.
With Jupiter transiting Leo and Saturn looking at my 8h from Scorpio and now Raju transiting my 3 natal planets I am feeling as if I am all over the place.
ONE minute I am calm and next minute I am lost and stressed and worried and imagining the worst outcomes.
My 8 l is in 9h and 9l Mercury is in 8th house.
All I have heard is that I can expect major changes in my life in this Rahul transit. I wonder major= good or bad.
I have 6l in 8 house ..VRY and I am running Mercury moon dasha.
would you shed more light on these 3 transits for each lagna.

Shilpa ji,
Happy 2016! Nice THOUGHT-PROVOKING write-up.
How is the "center of universe" determined? Is it in zodiacal progression (1-2-3-4... etc)??
Thanks in advance if you can share.
