Hi Learned Members

Let's see what we can glean from his tale and existence ie. Shri Parasurama, Vishnu avatar of Venus.

(1) He wields an axe. Venus is a warrior. Venus in the chart is one of the significators for litigation as detailed by one member of this forum.

(2) He destroy the Kashitreya clan. Venus can defeat Mars in a planetary war.

(3) He was a woodcutter. Venus is expert in finding herbs and remedies in this planet Earth.

(4) He is worshipped as a male ancestral founder. Venus rules semen which has a large say on whether your next child is going to be a son or daughter. (Sun does the impregnation ie. Sun rules father)

(5) Shiva taught him the art of warfare and he did terrible penance for Shiva (terrible as in very difficult). This attributes Venus as an evening star, going into the flames of the Sun and coming out as a morning star.

(6) He is one of the Saptarishis, Jamadagni. Unlike Jupiter who is concerned with life, Venus has no such main thrust of responsibility, so he can undertake a role as a Rishi.

(7) He serves as a mentor to Bhisma, Drona and Karna. He is the preceptor of demons.

(8) With the instruction from Shiva, Vishnu and Brahma also bestow weapons to Parasurama. This shows in one of the tales that Lakshmi (Venus) was born out of the trinity of God (although another tale indicated Lakshmi was born out of the churning of the ocean).

(9) He fought back the advancing seas to save the lands of Konkan and Kerala. This thus shows Venus has a lot to do with the sea especially on themes dealing with warfare - he rules the Nakshatra Poorva Asada.

(10) He is the foremost rishis in Kali Yuga. This shows Venus deal with us is to let us enjoy in this material world, but he also grant us Moksha after we are tired of everything.

(11) He will become one of the saptarishis in the 8th Manvantara. His legend in the next era would leave on. (Venus exalted in the 12th - so the legend lives on in the next cycle of life - the 1st house of the Ascendant).

(12) He will appear as a martial instructor of Vishnu's 10th Avatar Kalki. This shows Venus has a large part to play in the dissolving of this current world of Kali Yuga. When Kalki appears, that is when there is no more time to enjoy for us, Venus would assume the role to teach the good how to defend themselves from demons.

Thus Venus as a preceptor of the demons has a role to play in the final phase of the annihilation of the world.

Best Regards

Yes to cut back on these. But the excessiveness is fueled by Mars.

Shri Parasurama being also shows that Venus has a strong affinity with the 6th bhava.......martial arts instructor, elimination of the warrior clan which is Mars, woodcutting which is manual labour, elimination which is the act of destroying your enemy etc. Two classics extoll Venus strength in the 6th - one is Saravelli and the other is Phaladeepika.

The Rudrashkha bead with 6 faces is owned by Venus in fact (besides the 7 face which is under Mahalakshmi and the 7th bead also nullifies the malefic effects of Saturn because Saturn is digbala in the 7th).

It is interesting to note that Rama defeated Shr Parasurama.

This shows that the Sun can really combust Venus to the extent Venus is unable to give his blessings.

But Sun is not considered as the planet involve in planetary war. But it can combust. Parasurama was unharmed after the battle but he lost. This shows the significations for Venus is not harmed when it is combust but his life can be shortened (Parasurama retired somewhere after the battle with Rama).
