is Jupiter not doing his job?

hi all

Jupiter currently is exalted in my 4th house from ascendant and 7th from moon.

Question is this Jupiter transit actually has done nothing except bring unhappiness and emotional conflict, loss of jobs, arguments with coworkers and friends. One good thing is marital life is good.

Exactly 12 years ago, I had same issue.. 2002-2003 was bad in terms of emotions and unhappiness wrt relationships.

I do understand I am running Jupiter Saturn Dasha currently and maybe that is the reason for maybe unhappiness etc but isn't Jupiter supposed to provide a cushion and atleast not give this much unhappiness.

What is wrong?

Jupiter in the nakshatra of Mars and Saturn in that of Moon bring the focus on the 4-10 axis. 12 years ago, the same axis was in focus due to Rahu dasa.

Of course not. You must also be aware that Rahu is in the nakshatra of Saturn while Mercury is in that of Rahu. I mentioned the axis which was active. It doesn't mean that other houses are inactive.

Generally, transits do not give independent results. And many times, the results are influenced by the position of the transiting planet w.r.t its position in the natal chart. Jupiter in Kataka aids the natal jupiter by being in the 11th from it and thus serves to enhance the natal chart results. By July, when transiting Jupiter moves to Simha, he will reduce the effects of natal Jupiter by being in the 12th to it. You may observe the changes over a period of say three months (throughout this period, the antara lord is Saturn and only pratyantara lord changes from Rahu to Jupiter) and then, if you feel a change and you desire to share the experience, pl do so.

Jupiter exalted has really not helped me though in 11th from natal Jupiter. So if it moves
To 12th from natal, I doubt if I will see any difference

i know the feeling my friend. i'm also an aries ascendant, jupiter is transiting over natal placements of venus, mercury and mars....nothing really bad, but nothing really good either. i think the transit over leo will be good for us since it'll be transiting the 5th and aspecting ascendant and 9th house (mooltrikona)....only a couple more months and we'll find out

jupiter has an ashtakavarga score of 7 in cancer for you so i'm not sure why it's been so rough.

Yeah I thought the same.. Jupiter had a good score in
Cancer. Anyway I think Saturn is more powerful than Jupiter and took away all the benefits hope the next transit is good.

Hi All,

I can relate to this. If I am correct, Jupiter is transiting 10th house of mine. It's really a bad period. Extreme trouble in professional life, bad relations with colleagues,stress, unhappiness, ups-downs in emotions and health trouble. There is extreme sleep disturbances. All that due to no apparent reason. It's like up side down situation. I have never expected this.

our results will probably be quite different though. my chart has Sun in Leo and Moon in Aquarius so Jupiter transit will be aspecting both of those for me, not to mention Rahu in Aries lagna. I'm thinking a large lottery win! lol, in my dreams.


edit: geez, both of our Mars are in the 29th degree of Cancer too. our lagna degree is nearly the same as well. I was reading yesterday that a planet transiting the 11th from its natal placement is supposed to give the best results so i'm really not sure what's going on with your jupiter transit.

This is my 3rd worst period after 2002 and 2008.

I think transits need to be seen from ascendant rather than moon sign For when I look at that, Saturn is in my 8th and all that is happening to me seem to be in line with that.. more so as I am running Jupiter Dasha Saturn bhukti. I get the feeling, bad effect will be more pronounced between July to Oct as Jupiter dhrishti will not be on 8th house.

After that as my bhukti will change I hope the effects of 8th house transit of Saturn will be less pronounced.but then mercury is malefic for Aries lagna. Ah sigh, from one disaster to another:(

i'd have to say yes to both of your questions if i was to be honest. i'm getting better though, or at least i recognize it and am attempting to be more rational and level-headed.

we're both in heavyweight planet dashas (i'm in Saturn-Saturn right now) so i think the effects are going to be more pronounced naturally. Saturn is exalted and has a direct relationship with every single one of my planets except the Sun in Leo.

Moon is Aquarius (Sattabisha nakshatra) and Jupiter in Capricorn-Both ruled by Saturn
Ketu in Libra with Saturn, so Rahu in lagna is naturally aspected by Saturn as well.
Venus, Mercury, Mars all in Cancer-all are aspected by Saturn.

Safe to say I'm here to learn the lessons of Saturn lol



Funny, I looked up your Navamsa. Both of us are Libra lagna in d-9, with Sun in Cancer, Mars in Pisces, and Saturn in Gemini too. Weird.

The reason I asked regarding impulsive and emotions is because those are my biggest drawbacks

Mars neecha together with Rahu is a huge problem area
Especially keeping emotions under control is a big problem area for me although dear moon is looking into her own house:)

Saturn transit in the last few months has taught me a lot.
After this period, in hindsight, I am going to thank Saturn for I would not have learnt if not for him. Idea is to implement his lessons.

Me too experiencing same thing. 12 years ago (2002-2003) I had achieved substantial in terms of academics, somewhat greater than what I desired and aspired for. I expected something similar on professional or relationship front in current Jupiter transit. But things seem to be completely other way round. Absolutely nothing is happening; neither on professional front nor on relationship. I got married in Nov 2013. There are more conflicts rather than good times.
And the height is; 12 years ago, when I got all great results, I was going through sade sati phase.
can anybody throw some light on my case too.

Kuku, your first 16 years might be average. Thereafter improvements. Marriage is like no Physical happiness between you two. That is the reason for you two having argument. You read it perfect Karthik sir. Currently I am running through Saturn MDasha and Rahu Adasha..which will end soon and Jupiter Adasha will start( I guess in July). I am trying for abroad/job change/ promotion for last 2 years. This rahu ADasha has made me very fickle. I am not able to focus on anything.
You pointed about wife's relationship with Mother. Yes it seems to be OK, but I think there is communication gap/ grudges which I see building (even though my parents stay in other city)...may be because of me only. However it's like I know everything but can't do anything about it. Really I am not able to get any clarity abt situations. Not a very good phase m passing through. When can I have some clarity??

Looking through your post, it appears you are Makara Rasi. While Jupiter in 7th from Moon is supposed to bring a period of great success through partnerships, unfortunately, this time around, Jupiter is actually under Vedha from Ketu (which is positioned in 3rd from your moon) for Makara Rasi people. This means it won't be able to deliver any of its positive effects. The reason I know this is because I am also Makara Rasi and have had the same challenges as you and have been doing a lot of research trying to understand what is going on, especially since I was really looking forward to the Jupiter Transit to 7th house, after a period of 3 challenging years of Saturn in 10th! Unfortunately, by the time Ketu moves out of 3rd house, Jupiter will have transited to 8th house for Makara rasi.

Dear Neel, Take heart - you are also Makara Rasi, like me and I have been going through the same career challenges (as it happens, I am also undergoing Jupiter Mahadasha) but one of the reasons, Jupiter in 7th from Moon sign is not giving you the expected positive results right now, seems to be because this Jupiter Transit is under Vedha from Ketu in 3rd. Take a note of all of the Makara rasi folks who are posting their disappointment on this Forum on the lack of positive results.

Wanted to give an update from my side.
Alright huge relief!!my emotions are balanced now.Have rational thoughts.Work wise also I feel confident.Infact I feel more mature and very practical about relationships and work.Never been that way but boy my thoughts are way different!!

Wonder if it is due to pratyantar Dasha changing from rahu to jupiter or the transit of jupiter.
