Dear Shilpa
Trust you are doing good in life.
Since i saw this thread was more than inclined to ask you - how does the Jupiter transit affect a person in the Sagittarius ascendant and having Jupiter in the 6th house. I assume Jupiter's presence in the 6th house causes Shakat yoga and i was wondering if this transit for Jupiter into Leo will hold for me.
I am sharing my Details for your reference- would be sincerely obliged if you could respond to my query in a detailed manner.

Hi Noel2013 -
Your Lagnesh Jupiter has gone to 6th house. Bhagyesh Sun (lord of 9th) is in 8th. Preliminarily these 2 placements can cause some trouble in life, and JU is also in Sun's Nakshatra. Your ascendant Nakshatra is Moola, which your Moon also occupies ... again not wholly desirable. Then there is a Kemadruma dosha formed in the ASC itself - Moon has no one on either side of it (2nd and 12th houses are empty). this makes the Moon (mind) feel lonely, wanders a lot aimlessly, unable to focus/fixate on specific goals in life, etc. Also, may have very few friendships.
You're almost 40. What significant events in your life can you relate to the above? Any health issues? Are you well built, robust, no diseases or ailments (acute or chronic) so far? Health is wealth, so one has to be strong physically and also mentally to get by in life, upon which one can think of achievements, goals, etc. What is your balance sheet show thus far? Have you completed a satisfactory education and are earning reasonably well?
One practical piece of advice - life never goes in a straight line - always zigzag, lots of curves, speed bumps, turns and sometimes even u-turns. Thats just how it is. One has to develop one's own formula to deal with it. If you've seen the movie Forrest Gump, his mom who is dying of cancer says to him, "Life is like a box of chocolates, Forrest. You never know whathca gonna get!". If the box of chocolates contains darks and bitters, you gotta swallow it still. If it contains a few white chocs, any flavors you don't like, swallow it still. And if it contains a bunch of lemons, they you'll just have to learn to make lemonade with it, and maybe sell it as well.

Dear Tanmish
Thank you for your kind reply.
You are absolutely correct -Jupiter lord of ascendant is in 6th and Sun-Saturn combine occupies the 8th house as also Moon in ascendant with no planets on either side. Presently i am under the first phase of Sade-Sati.
Date of Birth: 6th August 1976
Time of Birth: 4:05 PM IST
Place of Birth: New Delhi
Gender: Male
Regarding the chart i am citing details if it helps you with the analysis:
1. I am a conservative, introvert with limited friends and well-wishers. Due to Jupiter owning my 6th house it has made me magnanimous in personality and i have influenced a lot of people trying to bring a positive change within them. However the point remains that i myself don't seem to enjoy the fruits of being philanthropic.
2. I am 38 and yet unmarried though i have a fair share of relationships (which never worked towards marriage)-presently i am pursuing an arranged marriage proposal and things are seemingly positive till now.
3. In terms of the luck factor I don't seem to have that in my favour at all. Career has been a struggle till now with issues with managers. I did try to analyze the same and even my detractors admitted they were unprofessional in their approach towards me. I am presently looking forward for a change of job and as recent as yesterday i have nearly lost on a golden opportunity with a good firm- just because they have decided to keep the position on hold.
4. Education was broken and never fulfilling with incidents pushing me back by a couple of years.
5. I am presently employed with a moderate remuneration - below par with my peers. Financially i have tried to innovate and get into stock markets and incurred losses. Financially money does come and it gets absorbed as well. I dont have a substantial amount of savings per say.
6. I am stoutly well built. Till 2014 my health has been decently good without any complaints. My father underwent a brain infarct last Nov'14 and since then even my health has deteriorated due to stress. Both my parents are under immense health issues which come cropping again and again.
I think i have answered most of your queries - do let me know if you could share some insight into how the future especially in terms of Jupiter transit and forthcoming Mars Mahadasha for self shall unveil.
Looking forward to responses.

Point #1 in the list is perhaps the most important - one should keep working always. The blessings you earn by serving, assisting your family, friends, near and dear ones will go a long way, irrespective of the ultimate benefit to you. It is not always possible to quantify that benefit - may be in the form of good health, longevity, happy times etc to self and those close to you.
The Bhagavad Geeta annotates 2 key dictums for the aspiring yogi (assuming you know Hindi) -
1. Karma Kiye Jaa - continue performing your duties. Work is what is most liberating. This is akin to the Christian dictum, work is worship.
2. Phala ki apeksha mat kar - have no regard or desire for the fruits of your actions. Be indifferent to any expected benefits. It is one of the first pre-requisites to emancipation (nirvana) - to slowly become detached from all material things and their attributes.
I think patience is by itself a virtue in today's over-hyped falsely-speeded up post-internet world. Seems like everyone is rushing to do "something somewhere", why they have no clue. But don't worry, sometimes the train will come to a screeching halt, with pretty much the same end result.
Don't worry too much about luck. Many in this world have a "zero free will" Kundali. Just to give you one example, I had gone to a local concert, it was a packed venue as always, with 3000+ people. When we were getting seated, I noticed an autistic boy sitting in an aisle seat, with his parents in the next 2 seats. All thru the 3-hour event, he kept nodding and rocking back and forth with eyes half-closed. He was late teens, early 20s, I don't know. Can you imagine how bad it must be for him and his family? How much free will did he have? I mean, 4000 people including the performers ware really enjoying the show but what about that boy? He was just suffering another sensory over-load. Sad.
In my view, a median (good) health thru one's life is a huge blessing that is overlooked and taken for granted by most of us, while we are busy chasing our dreams and desires.
