Shall I wear a Budh Ratna

Hi,

I am a Capricorn ascendant with a low Mercury at the lowest Shadbala. Mercury is my L6/L9 placed in 11th with Venus, Sun and Jupiter, i.e. L3, L5, L8, L10, L12. And it is further conjunct Gulika.

I am tempted to wear a gemstone for Mercury, I would appreciate others' opinions.

In gemeral a Capricorn ascendant may wear an Emerald. But it would be nice if you provided your birth details so you get correct recommendation.
