I was told that placement of mandi in 10th and 11th house gives beneficial results irrespective of the sign and its placement in all other bhavas are insignificant.
I am not sure how correct is this statement. Any learned members kindly clarify.

As per book its true but I have not done any reserch to know the real results of Maandi.
A person should not be too honest. Straight trees are cut first and honest people are screwed first.

I too have Maandi Vargottami in my chart. I am not sure whether THAT makes him more malefic. I have heard that the adverse effects are seen when Saturn transits over the rashi where Maandi is placed. Now in my case it happened roughly 27 yrs back - and I remember facing some serious health issues then. ( though I have enjoyed a sound health during the rest of my life).
