Yes, you are correct about foreign residence. He did Comp. engg. and next year went abroad to work. He is working abroad since 1994. He is Vice President of a big financial company and doing well despite Ke maha dasha & sade-sati, very arrogant and rude person...but quite successful professionally and financially....i have seen several people including myself facing tough time during Ketu maha dasha, but he is an exception. His father died but he was least affected and bothered by that.

I am a new member here with basic understanding of vedic astrology and currently in the process of learning it more. I would like to give my birth details with details about what my career has been so far. I have 8+ years experience in the gaming/communications industry. Also I am a singer/composer as well. However in 2013, I had a severe setback in career and was forced to resign out of frustration. I then started my own company with friends, but that didn't do well either (I later realised that my 7th house is average). Thanks for your time and reply. Yes relationship with spouse has been not so good. Are you sure about the abroad job? I had applied since January but the replies have all been negative. I received couple of calls from India as well, but again stuck. No developments happening. Can you kindly shed more light on my career and when approximately there's a possibility of getting one? Also, is my mercury ( that's my functional malefic for my ascendant) weak and causing more harm than good? I am sorry for asking so many things at the go, but I seriously need some guidance pertaining to my career for now as well as the upcoming mercury mahadasha in 2016. And you are right again. I do write articles, sing & compose, study vedic astrology, travel etc. So you are right about the multifaceted personality as well. Any further analysis would be of great value to me at this stage.

Hi Souvik, Mercury maha dasha onwards your career with regards to income will be good. Have patience for 1 year and keep working and simultaneously try for abroad. When you have good experience in the gaming field, you should stick onto it as you have expertise as well passion which is most important.

Mercury planet is strong in the chart . So you can be good at gaming,communication and any other logical stuff.

Actually my confusion was because one astrologer had told me that my mercury is weak and recommended me to wear an emerald and since mercury is the lord of my 2nd and 11th, I was crestfallen. I have had a tough shani MD, but I have learnt some priceless lessons in the process, hence I was apprehensive about my mercury MD starting next year. Your reply fills me with hope and confidence.
One doubt. Is rahu in my 2nd house going to cause trouble in terms of earnings all my life?. I have been doing puja remedies for rahu as well. If you can let me know, it will help immensely. Also is my sun strong (though it is old by age in terms of degree). Should I do something to strengthen it? I am sorry for bombarding you with questions, but honestly speaking, after a long time I have found someone who has given me such positive analysis of my chart. I hope you don't mind.

Hi Souvik, Saturn in enemy"s house , which is sun's house and saturn aspecting 10th house of career. So the combination of being in enemys house and aspect will give negative results of saturn. Also saturn is cause of poor married life in your life.

Now next Mercury maha dasha. where it is placed??? it is placed in Lagna. It is in sun"s house and Mercury likes Sun. Mercury rules wealth houses (2,11)...So good results are bound to happen.....Moreover Mercury is exalted in Navamsa. Any planet strong in Navamsa will add to the strength of the planet in Rasi chart. Rahu is ok......Not that strong or weak.
Sun is good ......not to be worried...I can show you number of charts where the planet in old or dead state has given very good results.

Earnings/income we see from 11th house......

You can pray Lord Vishnu as he is deity for Mercury.
