Hello everyone!
am posting the following on behalf of my father. will try to post in as much details as i could justly do.
- he had to leave his job from a very senior position (Vice President, Finance), last year in December, due to differences with the American management (which had taken over the company an year or more back) regarding the work-culture that's prevalent here in India to acquire business-deals.
- anyway, perhaps, had to happen some time or the other. since then, he has been looking for another suitable work. for now, he is working for/with his erstwhile senior (who was with him in the earlier company, which this senior had left prior him and started a consultancy firm or something with his wife) since a little more than a month.
- this person had proposed my father to work for him, as apparently his wife hasn't been handling the financial issues very well, and a threat of income-tax raids and penalties/confiscation and what-not is looming large over the firm due to many financial irregularities, and hence my father has got on with the job of damage-control for him.
- there was not any firm discussion on the topic of payment and all i believe, and my father accepted it for 2 reasons - so that he won't have to be at home & will remain busy with some work, as well as a kind gesture towards an old acquaintance. however, now, gradually, he is realising that the world is not so good after all beneath the surface, and he is beginning to somewhat doubt this person's intentions to compensate him duly, but he's i think taking it up with him about this in his own steady manner.
- some things about my father here - he is the most resolute person i've seen yet! follows a strict daily roster (of rising very early, exercising, yogaabhyaas and praanaayaam), sticks to it unwaveringly, has a deep faith in God & religiously follows rituals and worship, is a vegetarian & teetotaller, doesn't taste food items which are against his health and inclination (lives on a very simple and frugal diet; no tea-coffee-sweetmeats-oily stuff-junk food, no nothing; not even ghee!), very rarely does he hum any filmy song, and mostly keeps singing bhajans and dohaas cheerfully, etc., sometimes, to my irritation (call it my naivety!); keeps mostly to himself in a social environment, ie, not at all interested in gossiping and bickering, etc., can be sometimes taken for a ride by a sweet-talking marketing-type street-smart kind-of person, doesn't take much interest in following/enjoying sensory pleasures; tries to be optimistic and cheerful even if circumstances are trying, and believes in accepting and facing the present and keep going ahead. i may be missing a few more traits here. it may seem too much to comfortably believe and a little idealistic to be so in today's world, but this is what i've seen and observed about him in all these years.
- all the above also makes him wary of trying out new things in life, i mean, new ways or experimenting with changes/novelties, etc. though he has a thin belief in astrology and allied studies ('thin', mostly due to ignorance about these), but he doesn't get too involved in these.
- some weeks back, i had suggested to him to start reciting the Vishnu Sahasranaam, extolling it by telling to him a few incidents which showed its power. he recited it for a week or two, then left it in between to continue with his morning recitation of Raamcharitmaanas, Sundar Kaand, etc. i then showed to him a video of Rao ji explaining about the significance of it y'day, since then he is again endeavouring to start reciting it, but due to lack of time (it takes 40 mins for him to do it), he is finding it difficult.
- coming to my query - you already know what it would be. could some knowledgeable member here please guide me about what steps should be taken ahead? he is already searching for a job in plethora of places. not much interested in knowing about predictions (sorry, don't mean to sound rude or anything here), but just seeking guidance on how to handle the situation, where to look for better prospects (ie, in a little different field/place/country) and by when to expect things to take a turn for the better (i admit - just this one bit of 'predicition' could be made, please). he is open to move to anywhere, with one condition that the work should suit his temperament and be challenging.

Dasa running is that of ketu. Rahu antar exactly started when he resigned. This continues until Jan-2015.
Transit wise, ( planets are moving always ), right now , saturn, rahu and mars are tranisting his tenth house
of profession and hence the pressure.
So in a year, he would have a better period to start with. It is better for him to be careful in his friend's office,
not take any signatory works that could squarely implicate hin. Rahu misleads and so was the suggesion.
This is just a caution.

Thank you LighLamp, for the insightful post! i would convey the message to him. would you suggest any remedial measure, like in, chanting of any verses or any worship apart from the one he regularly performs? recitation of VS should be continued (though i understand it should be done nevertheless)?

thought of posting an update in this thread, as well as have some guidance.
an year is about to complete since i created this thread (a month still left, to be precise). in the meanwhile, as lightlamp ji had told, my Father has been continuing with the work he had last engaged in, as well as has been diligent in his worship as always (did Vishnu Sahasranaam for some time, and now has started recitation of Ram Raksha Stotram, apart from the recitation of Sundar-kaand and various other holy verses and scriptures which he has been doing regularly since years). we had been to a few temples and pilgrimages too this year, the last being Pandharpur this Christmas.
during this year, he got some offers, missed some great ones (finally rejected solely on the account of not being a CA), got interviewed and shortlisted by a couple of recruiters, but again was finally turned down, even after being the choice for selection of the interviewers (as told to common acquaintances), because their seniors wanted a 'CA', and perhaps a younger person. now he has received an offer from a company based in Nigeria (named Poly Products PLC, Lagos), and he would be meeting an executive from there on the 6th of Jan., at Mumbai. let's see. the struggle is on.
would like to request some member to kindly shed light on what could transpire ahead; whether this Nigerian offer would be fruitful for him, and if yes, whether he should consider it (asking this because Nigeria is now not quite a safe place), and any points about the upcoming time-period for him? lightlamp ji had written the turmoil to extend till atleast Jan 2015. would highly appreciate if any one could add to that, any pointer, advice, any sort of guidance!

Hi, hoping the time of birth to be 7 am, now he has a very good chance to go abroad and also he will become more inclined to spirituality now. For next few years he will be in foreign country.
From 1994 he would have be in foreign country and been there for some long time....

yes, he may be getting more inclined towards spirituality now, which perhaps am sensing.
1994 was indeed a crucial year, job-change and location-change, but not in a foreign country, but to a different state, a different part of the country, and to a 'foreign' culture, if i could say that. now settled in that part since many years.

Hi seeker, which is that part of that country.
He is running Ketu and Rahu sub period. His current time still has some difficulties and some improvement is seen during Feb 2015. Change of place is seen in following months. He need to work with patience.

hearty thanks to all the members who kindly posted their predictions here! as predicted by you all, my Father had been offered a work-contract about a week back for an overseas posting (Lagos, Nigeria), and has been signed up for it finally after a meet with one of the company's director's on 7th Jan. the contract-term is for atleast 2 years (may extend; don't know), and he would be joining by this Feb-end. the predictions have been spectacularly accurate on all fronts! Sujit ji's signature keeps ringing in my head. As Shree K.N. Rao had written in one of his articles, and what also has been Sir Woodrow Wyatt's experience (by his own account) - 'What astrology must do is (to) make you an optimist.'

life is funny! regret to inform you that the prospective opportunity i wrote about above didn't materialise. no follow-up after the meet-up, even though the contract was almost finalised. since then, atleast one more interview has been given, ending with a similar thing. only such kinds of incidents have been happening since 1-1.5 yrs. any prospect of improvement in the near-future?! am keeping in mind Sujit ji's reply above. would request anyone to advise.
