hi all learned members,
I read in a book that saturn in lagna and mars aspecting lagna is not good.
In a chart gemini lagna saturn in lagna and mars is placed in 7th house, in this case lagna afflicted or not?
please clarify my doubt.

I would say yes. Also, there is high chance of marriage delay or trouble if married unless Jup is well placed.
I'm only a learner and don't take me too seriously.

It may indicate financial gains too.

does saturn hurt mars if saturn aspects mars(capricorn) from scorpio ?

No,by virtue of exchange of each other's sign both keep a set up.
