Yes, the planets changes the way we think. I have seen this in my life. When I started my Jupiter AD I got into astrology and was very interested in it and had thought I would learn it all my life sincerely. When I started my Saturn AD, I lost interest in astrology but got a lot of interest in spirituality and read a lot many books on the subject, my mind being filled with spiritual thoughts, though the worldly thoughts and desires were not pushed out of my mind, and when Mercury AD started, I lost interest in spirituality and again became totally worldly in my thoughts, my mind filled with millions of desires like it was before my Jupiter AD when I didn’t ever feel I would take interest in astrology or spirituality.
Yes, with age people get over their anger problem, and then, as you said it can be that Mars and Saturn have both matured because of which they have lost their sting now.

Yes, they are unventional,eccentric and do not follow social norms. Marriage does seem to be a burden to them!
