Curios to know if any planet does well in the 8th?

Was just telling some +ive of 8th house and as astroboy says "all other factors being equal".

It is said that during 8th house lord period, either a person starts taking interest in astrology or start going to astrologers for consultation.

U r spot on with that assessment..i am running sub period of planet placed in the 8th and bumped into this forum

Sun and Venus are placed in my 8th house. Last year, I completed Ph.D. and afterwards I am trying my best to get a job in the research field. But no luck yet!

With the help of my horoscope and reading forums, I know little bit of astrology.. like a Primary school student

But I did not understand your this statement

If the delay is because of Sun. Sun MD was over by April. Now Moon MD is going on.. I thought Moon MD will be better and it will bring happiness. There is no change both in the personal and career.

I also heard that the effect of MD will not be realised right from the beginning, it takes some time. I don't know how truth is that.

I was not referring to Dasha or transit at all. I just referred to the placement of Mars in your chart. Its about 5 deg within SUN. Hence combust.

I have tried to find reading material on conditional dashas such as Dwisaptati Sama and Satabdika as they are applicable to my chart but haven't come across much.

Is it true that when such conditional dashas are applicable to a chart then these should be used more to give a prediction than using just Vimshottari.

Can someone tell me how to predict marriage date/period, using these conditional dashas?

In my case I will shortly begin Mer/Rah in dwisaptati sama.

You have had plenty of responses......I can see and based on your PM I had one more look at your chart.

--you will have a good solid married life.....a bit delayed because of the drishti of strong shni...but shani is positive and will also be a protective force for your married life.

---your spouse will be multi-faceted, multi-talented...

--timing wise there may have been strong opportunities to get married for the better part of 2010

--next very strong window is in about two year as shani will be moving out of Libra releasing it's delay causing hold and you will be at the near end of the marriage Karak Venus's anatara.

--but don't worry it's a chart for a good married life.

I agree to Shilpa for her description about ur married life and spouse. Its a rare phenomenon that someone's 7H got all natural benefics. This shows that ur spouse will be b'ful (Moon), witty (Mer), knowledgeable (Jup) and you'll have gud married life (Ven). But since 7H is in paap kartari, there may be some issues which are always there in any marriage.
Sat's aspect on 7H has already made delay in marriage.

Timing for marriage:
For marriage the dasha lords must connect to 7H in natal chart & also in transit.
You got MD of Sun who has no connection with 7H/L but given the age lets take ur marriahe will take place in Sun MD. {Other results of Sun MD are a lot of short travel (Sun is 3L), problems to siblings (3L is in 8H), health issues related to heat & boils (e.g. piles) etc}
AD lord Mer (till Sept 8, 2012) is LL of D-9 (spouse) and is posited in 7H of D-1. So its connecting to 7H and is potent to give u marriage.
PD lord Jup is 7L of D-1 & D-9 and is posited in 7H.
So dasha wise its a very gud time for marriage but transit wise only SUn is connecting to 7H. There's no connection of Sat & Jup (famous double transit principle) or even Mer with 7H.

Next AD of Ketu is nak lord of 7L Jup. But transit wise this too is not connecting to 7H/L. Transit wise Sat wil connect to 7H/L but Jup has already cleared cleared 7H while transiting in Aries (till May 2012).
So i think after Aug 2012 (when Sat wil transit in Libra) there'll be strong chances for ur marriage.
It can be any Sun-Mer-Sat (Aug 3-Sept or in Sun-Ketu-Ketu (Sept 8-15) or even in Sun-Ketu-Ven (Sept 15-Oct 7)

Cross checking with Yogini dasha:
Progressed Lagna: pisces
Current Yogini dasha: Mer-Mer
Mer is 7L and wil give results related to marriage.
Double transit: Jup from Taurus aspect 7H, Sat from libra wil aspect 7L Mer.

Dear All

I have come back to this thread after almost 22 months.

Sadly I have seen no change on the marriage front or the job front. I haven't been able to find a job since November 2009 nor is there any hope in sight in terms of getting married. Days, months, years are passing and I am getting increasingly fearful that perhaps I've lost all the chances I had to get married.

I would be very grateful if any of you can look at my chart and find the issue which could delay everything or stall everything for such a long time. Saturn has been in Libra (11th from Moon) and Jupiter has been in Gemini (7th from Moon) and yet I've seen almost next to nothing happening in the last few years. I admit that I've looked at my own chart and tried really hard but have totally failed to come up with a possible explanation or even a possible positive horizon in the future.

Please guide me in whatever way you can.

I think there are lot of delay factor like 7L in ketu nak.and ketu is in 6H.Jup is aspected by 8L sat and jup is with 12L so & his connected with all malific houses.Now you are running moon dasha i feel this will give merry when jup will transit to cancer your UL.My niece born same time and same date of birth she got merry in sun dasha it was love marrage bt with lot of difficulty.

Given the negative factors that you mentioned i.e. 7H getting connected to all the dusthanas (6, 8 and 12), do you think it could also deny marriage? I've been waiting for a very long time, I hope the Moon dasha is fruitful as you say.

It is very interesting to know your niece and I share the same date of birth and even time of birth

I have not been able to find a job either for four years now, maybe I should take that up on Career section of the forum.

Aspect of saturn, rahu and mars on the 7th cusp is the reason for delay. Since your lagna is placed at the fag end
of mithuna, assigning lordships for analysis is tricky. With such an aspect, prediction is really tough and will always
keep astrologers at bay.

If dwisapatadi sama dasa is used ( of course accepting lagna lord is mercury ), you lost job during mercury / venus.
Mercury joining rahu and aspected by saturn in his uncomfortable sign moon ( mercury feels so ) and his dispositor
moon being placed in 12h, antar lord venus caugth between malefics mars and saturn, all in D10.

Can you pl provide the actual date of quiting the job ?

Lets see the afflictions

1. Guru karaka for pathi and shukra karaka for vivah are in nakshatra of Ketu and ketu in 6th house (dificulties) and 6th lord kuja in 5th house(santana sthana) in Nk of Swati whose lord rahu in 12th house(loss,end of everything).

2.Shukra lacks shadbala and lagna lord budha in Nk of shukra and 8th lord shani(mangalya sthana) in Vishaka ruled by Guru whose condition is described above.

3.What sealed your fate is Mars aspect on Mangalya sthana , Ravi in 8th house and ascetic yoga(4 planets in 7th house).

Marriage in my opinion is difficult

You're right that with the ascendant being in the last two degrees, almost everything becomes iffy.

Saturn with his 3rd house aspect does; if I may ask, why do say that Mars and Rahu also aspect the 7th Cusp?
Yes, application of Dwisaptati sama dasa becomes tricky due to the time of birth. Sataabdika dasa also applies. Also, you said Moon is in the 12H in D10, however the way my chart is constructed - it shows up in the 11th House.

I quit my job in November 2009. You are right this was in Mercury/Venus during Dwisaptati Sama Dasa!

If I may also add to my reply above, this particular job was not at par with my qualifications and had to be taken up for purely monetary considerations. At that time it was almost a desperate measure to take up any job. And after quitting it, no matter how hard I tried the efforts didn't lead to an interview call. And in 1-2 cases after getting a confirmed offer, I get a call from the interviewers, after a couple days, cancelling it due to one reason or another.

But what can one observe is that mercury gave you job and robbed your job. Its strength is only so good.

Can pl say something about your qualification ?

If dwisaptadi sama dasa is applicable truly in your chart, then jupiter dasa to follow in may 2015 should
give you job, as there is a very good yoga of kendra and kona in D10 ascendant !

Yes Mercury gave me the job and took it away too.
My highest qualification is a masters degree in finance from a UK university. My job was also located there - that may be of help to you. I left the country in Oct '06 and was back in Jun '10.

I would be very grateful if you could also look at the fate of marital matters in my chart.

Why don't you apply for banks, get a job first. ?

Seventh cusp is 29 sag.

Mars is in 16 thula. So its aspect on 16 capricorn is 100%. on either side of 16 capricorn
the aspect falls gradually. The aspect on the seventh cusp 29 sag is approximately, 56%.
That cannot be ignored.

Similarly, saturn placed in 23 thula , its third aspect on 29 sag is more stronger , above 90%.
Rahu is placed in 20 taurus, its ninth aspect on 29 sag is over 65%.

These aspects are usually missed when one places the mind on the rasi's alone.

Saturn and rahu aspect dasa lord mercury closely. The pressure is felt in the area of job
and relationships. Mercury is also chara amatyakaraka. Sade sati has started too.
Saturn is atmakaraka.

Your star is moola. Do people reject it just because it is moola ?
