--you father started Ketu MD in Jun 2012......Ketu is a nusiance planet generella and during it's MD because it's short the affects of the MD Lord predominates over the anatara period.
...furtehr Ketu is siting in the 12th house of hospitalization invoking frequent visit to doctors / hopsitals..
--please ask him to get a Ketu shanto pujan done throuhg a priest at home...chant Ketu mantra daily 108 times...feed stray dogs...worship lord ganpathi.
also keep a statue or picture of panchmukhi hanuman at home and ask him to read panchmukhi hanuman stotra.
--all of the above will reduce the phsysical trauma/ pain / discomforts...but keep the medical treatments on.
bear in mind thouhg Ket MD and 12th house combined affects means that some physcial discomforts and visits to doctor / hopsitals will linger until the end of Ket MD in Jun 2019

Just after receiving your response, I told my parents about the Ketu remedies. But before they could do anything, my father was hospitalised and is in ICU since thursday. Shilpa ji, can you please tell me if he'll be ok? We're all very worried and only seeking God for some miracles.

So I thought he was okay till his eye operation. I now understand it is because of diabetics. Diabetics is a slow killer. It affects all vital organs, if it is not kept under strict control. Food should be consumed at regular intervals but in small amounts, regular medicine, daily walk are essential components of control of disease. I hope you are already aware of these things. If not just google....

I don't know why I'm writing this post after a long time... My father passed away last month without any suffering or pain... it has left my mother, my brother and me in shock and a lot of grief. we never knew that my father would have a short life (even though my nana ji is a renowned astrologer). My father was a gentle soul, always giving, never expected anything in return, he made a two storey house for his parents, got 5 younger siblings married off, and always gave gave gave, never took anything from anyone, his younger sibling even cheated him through his own business (took away 20 lacs between 1992-1997) and yet my father always took criticism from his own family, not only this he helped so many people financially that he kept no count of the money he spent... always smiling, no grief or pain in his heart - that's how my father left.
I feel sad becuz when my brother and i had started earning, he passed away. this feeling of not being able to provide him with comfort is killing me inside... so many questions arise in my mind, is God really there? why do such great people leave this world so early... he's irreplaceable not becuz he was my father but because I'm yet to come across such a great human being in my life...
