Dear Lata1,
Anna prashana is usually performed after four months of the babys birth and before the end of the seventh month.If you are going to do it in a famous temple...Like say guruvayoor.. then just shukla paksha and a good day is sufficient.No need of any specific muhurta. Try January 11th morning 6.00 to 7.00 or if that is too early, then 10.00 to 11.00 same day. Please donate some notebooks to children who come to that temple that day.
Please take care to feed the baby with a silver spoon. The first food generally is kheer.

You can do it on 13th jan But do it between 10.05 and 10.15 am in the morning.

Dakshinayana punya kalam falls on Makara Sankaranthi day i.e 14th Jan 2014.
Makara Sankaranthi is called because Surya enters the rashi on 14th Jan 2014. Makaram or capricon is the rasi of normal zodiac 10th sign and Surya gets digbala here.Moreover from this day onwards Devatas early morning hours by praying Surya who is adipathi for all grahas.

Ideal day for your Kid's Annaprashannam on 14th Jan 2014. on that sunrise in Rishikesh will be 7.07 hrs, Tuesday.. Do surya pooja and naivedyam and feed your kid near Ganga river or in Haridwar.. feed poors also
