In D-9, it is 7th lord (marital matters) and 12th lord (profession), its placement in 3rd house represents movement.

As per my experience there is no meaning of vargottam for a debi planet as its weak in both charts.
However if ever it will give gud results that will be only after a lot of struggle and may be when its meaning is lost to the native.

If u r talking about Ajnum's chart, Ven here is Vargottam.
It is placed in 8H in D-1 but in Lagna of D-9 where it acts like a Yogkaraka planet.
Plz note whenever any planet is placed in navamsa in the sign of 8H it is called as Nidhanamsa.
Planets placed in Nidhanamsa gives problem and if LL is placed in Nidhanamsa then it gives death to native on the ground with no family member near by (As in the case of MK Gandhi).
So here Ven got both gud (vargottam) and bad indications. So it'll give mix results.

1. Jup is in Mrityu bhag
2. Jup is weak in Shadbala & Vimshopak bala
Hence overall results will be mixed.

For Sagittarius lagna Ven is 6L/11L, So its not a very benefic planet.
However if Ven is dignified in D-9 then the results may improve somewhat and it may give mix results.

in what way venus can said to be dignified ? if in kendra /trokona in D9
- if yogkarka for D9 lagna
-if posited in good houses of d9
-if other rashi of venus also in good house?
if friend of lagna lord of d9
- if out of papkartari yoga - if not debiliated?

Dear Neeraj,
Appreciate your response. The Mrityu bhag for Jupiter in Aqu as per Hora is 15 Deg, does't it mean that Jupiter has to be exactly at that degree to cause stress ?
Also is int this Jupiter associating with Lagna, HL and GL causing a Maha Yogada Yoga.
Taking all these into consideration can we interpret this as Jupiter giving very positive results but the results will come with stress or the interpretation might still be Jupiter giving both positive and negative results ?

You are absolutely correct. If the Jup is making connection to Lagna, HL & GL then it is making a great yoga.
But the problem is that most of the time we are dependent on computers for all these calculations.
I've seen various softwares giving different calculations (Ex: calculations are often different in JHora and Parashar Light).
Hence I do not use so many things and try to keep things simple.
Like a planet in Mrityu bhag may give difficult time and not necessarily death all the time. So to me Astrology is all about timing of events and the magnitude of the results we can expect.
