What are your thoughts on Jupiter's results and effects for a Thula/Libra lagna native? Specifically in the 2nd from lagna. Any personal experiences to share? I am curious because Guru is a satvic and potent benefic planet naturally...

Map, I thought you posted on this thread...I know I have not provided any specific details (except for Jupiter in 2nd). But my query is more general because I am curious about how Jupiter will function as lord of 3rd and 6th for Libra lagna natives given that it is a natural benefic.

Jupiter in 2nd for Libra is good for career and wealth with minor ups and downs. It will also bring family and marital problems and health issues related to private parts.

People with Jupiter in Libra ascendant experience hip or spinal injuries in their old age. But its good for receiving favors from father figures, journeys bring fortune and also good for higher education.

But that's all I can say without looking at the chart.

elipsis ji, thank you very much for your response. It helps in understanding how Guru functions for a Libra native. Here are the chart details, (I can't post images due to how posting guidelines are set) I hope you can share your thoughts on it:

Well, as I say -

1. its good for wealth accumulation through career and service (5th from 10th/9th from 10th) with minor hiccups
2. bad for marriage (8th from the 7th) - it will create verbal duels with the opposite sex
3. good for physical recovery (9th from sun)
4. can create minor breaks in education (10th from 5th/6th from the 9th)
5. bad for health and inheritance etc

Elipses Ji,

Jupiter is a malefic for Tula Lagna. Does that mean its benefic effects will be reduced?

I have Jupiter in 9th house from Tula Lagna, however Jupiter is retrograde in 9th house and aspected by Sun from 3rd house. What results can I expect?
Warm Regards

Rita

Thank you, elipsis ji. When I place Navamsa chart on the Rasi chart, the natal 5th house (Aquarius) stands out for having a heavy concentration of planets in it- Along with vargottama Mercury and Rahu, they are joined by Jupiter and Saturn (R). I don't quite know how to read these influences.

The depositor (saturn) has the be strong in D1 and must have a higher shad bala.

My experience tells me Jupiter, Saturn and Venus always remain unaffected by combustion. But Jupiter and Ketu isn't really preferable when it comes to material gains.

Dear rita,

You are right, benefic effects of Jupiter will be reduced and it can be harmful in some houses.

And retro planets affects your preceding house as well, so your retro Jupiter in the 9th house affects 8th house there by minimizing the good effects of the 9th house placement - which is supposed to give good health and education.

Regards

Thanks very much for your response elipsis ji.

Yes, you're right, I've always had very delicate health. However I've been fortunate in terms of education, I think that's probably due to Shani in the 5th house in its own sign (Aquarius).
Warm Regards

Planets don't get exalted in the divisional charts. 7th Jupiter for Libra brings bad health, marriage, family problems, fluctuating wealth. Good for gains through friends and siblings.

Dear Sir

1. Good for gains through friends and siblings - is it due to lord of 3rd well placed in kendra 7th house & aspecting its own 3rd house??

2. Good for gains through friends -is it due to aspecting 11th house??

3. bad health, marriage, family problems-is it due to lord of 6th lord of rog , RIn & shatru placed in 7th house??

4. fluctuating wealth - is is due to dusthana lord aspecting 11th house of income??

regards

9th from the 11th house.

Yes, also 6th/8th from the 2nd.

My analysis was purely based on Jupiter's effect on the various houses for a certain ascendant. There might be other factors contributing to strength or weakness in the chart - since I don't know the chart I can't give you my in depth overview.

A planet becomes malefic or benefic due its relationship with the ascendant lord. However a planet is duty bound (dharma) to uplift certain houses that fall in line with it's ideology. So ascendant is the most important house in astrology, without it the native has no personality or dharma at all. And there cannot be multiple ascendants or personalities for one person.

Srcs,

According to me, some things in my life only make sense with Tula Lagna, including my personality, physical appearance and health. Whereas Scorpio Lagna seems to match some other events.

Therefore the jury is still out..........
