Do we see the effects of Atardasa from Mahadasa lord?

For discussion on the dashas (predictive systems): vimshottari, yogini, or other conditional dashas like shodashottari, etc.

Hi All,

In predicting the results of a mahadasa/antardasa period, do we look to the house and placement of the antardasa lord from the mahadasa lord?

Is this a secondary/tertiary factor?

Are the effects from Lagna or Chandra Lagna more imoprtant?

I would be grateful for your insight
Thanks

@kateap; Many things are factored in for such readings. The relative positions/stellar occupations/the lordships
&occupations of them. Also the naisargika shuba/asuba nature & planet's ability to give the result fast/slow
when it enters in a rasi as per gochara/transits.
The classic e.g is that of Sri.vajpaee's chart whose 13 day PM period.By his Natal dasa/bhukthi he was not destined to be PM but go-chara helped him for such period as it was in his fvr.Once it was over he was
removed from his PM post,a disgrace to a famous orator/decent political man.

Thank you for your insight.

I understand that there are multiple factors to consider, I was just wondering if the relation between the MD and AD lord matter independently of the lagna/chandralagna.

I was reading that they must make an aspect to each other to have any effect eg

MD of malefic and AD of benefic - for the AD lord to give some good results in this situation it must have some relationship with the MD lord.

Is this true? Can it apply just by transit?
