hi learned members !
i am a gemini ascendent which makes mercury my lagna lord ! now i wanted to know how well is it placed and its strength ! its retrograde in aries and in conjunction with sun with less than 2 degrees apart ! both are in 11th house.
additional details :

You can chant the Vishnu Sahasrnamam for mercury ,very beneficial
i know a boy whose lagna lord is saturn retrograde and in the second house.ascendant capricorn.
the boy is extremely slow in studies and struggling hard to pass.

For education 5th house and Mercury are generally checked. In his chart his 5th lord, Venus, is conjunct 8th lord, Sun, and also with Rahu, showing the problem he is having in his education life. Jupiter's aspect on the 5th house, and Mercury exalted in the 9th house is very good. The planetary period being of afflicted 5th lord, Venus, is not helping him in his education. Strong Mercury shows he is intelligent, though.

he is an ambitious and enthusiastic boy .But his iq is found to be below average .That's why he is not able to do well in his studies.it is surprising an exalted mercury can give below average intelligence.

It is quite incredible that he has below average IQ, in spite of having an exalted Mercury, and that too well placed and unafflicted. His planetary period is not at all good, and I believe, a bad planetary period doesn't let a person bring out the hidden potentials in himself. I have heard of many people, who were very bad in studies in their young age and became very good in it later on. It's not that there was a change in their intelligence... it's just that the planetary periods in their charts turned from bad to good, letting the planets start giving their promised results.

there was a small speech delay for the boy.do u feel neecha sun is causing the problem in his studies.i believe sun is getting neecha banga.pl check up and offer ur valuable inputs.

The reason for the speech delay could be his 2nd lord being retrograde. I am Gemini Ascendant... Ascendant Lord Mercury Retrograde 19:15 Degree in 5th house (with Venus and Sun) , I haven't faced Disturbance in Education ( Instead I was good student in School and college),
no difficulty in Speech or Expression as some mentioned for having Retrograde Mercury
