Question on planet dispositors...

Hello all,

I was wondering if the state of a planet in an enemy sign's dispositor could help strengthen it?
Similar to how debilitated planets can get neecha bhanga raj yogas' based on their dispositors placements/aspects, and/or the planet which rules where the debilitated planet becomes exalted...etc.

example, say saturn is in scorpio - but dispositor mars is in Aries or exalted in capricorn.
Especially in aries, mars would throw an aspect on scorpio and thus saturn too.
Does this strengthen saturn in some way?

or Saturn in leo, but sun exalted, would this help saturn?

Final example,
Saturn in enemy sign and bad house even, but then venus - lord of libra where saturn is exalted, is in pisces, or libra/taurus. - and what if it's in an angle from Saturn?

Saturn in leo is like saturn being trapped in a enemy warehouse especially if that is that sun's nakshatra in Leo..

Now if Sun is exalted, it is like giving Sun a rocket launcher or better yet, a FLAME THROWER!

Probably saturn is tied up inside the warehouse without any food. Imagine what the sun will do to saturn with his Flame thrower?

though a few days after I posted the question, I also asked another astrologer (that guy KRS / Kapiel Raj on youtube. I asked him on facebook) and he said that Sun in this case would strengthen Saturn.
...didn't explain any more.

So now I've heard two things, you pretty much said it would damage Saturn... other guy says it helps Saturn...

I would probably look at it this way - If this is for Leo lagna, Su being lagnesh will perhaps ensure that Sa gets to do some things in favour of the native. Similar would be the case, but to a lesser extent, for lagnas in trines to leo. But in general strength and maleficence are not mutually exclusive! Hence Sa in Leo is more malefic if Su is stronger.

Ever wondered why there is a nakshatra lorded by sun in saturn's house(capricorn)? Does that mean saturn does bad even if he is in his own house but in sun's nakshatra?

Well, lets put it this way. Consider capricorn as a town which has many areas(nakshatras) located in the town. This town is governed by saturn who lays the rules eventhough his native town is aquarius. Here, one of the areas is owned by sun which is the nakshatra 'Uttarashadha'.This means sun owns a land in saturn's (his enemy's) town.

Basically, even if sun is saturn's enemy, he has to follow the rules set by saturn since the town's mayor cum owner is Saturn. Also, saturn is allowed inside sun's land even though Sun may not like it and he cannot do anything to saturn as long as he is in the pada of uttarashadha which is inside the township of capricorn.

Now, if sun is in capricorn in his own land 'uttarashadha' , he will feel comfortable as long as he is inside his borderline. saturn cannot do anything to sun as he is protected 24/7 in his own land!

Now, if saturn(even though the owner of the town) enters uttarashadha, he is safe but follows the customs that are being followed by sun since he is a guest at sun's place. These customs can be identified by the placement of sun in the rasi chart.

But the situation is different if saturn is in leo. Sun has full dominance even if saturn is in purva phalguni(venus's land in sun's township). Eventhough saturn is a dear friend to venus, venus cannot hide saturn forever in his home since he himself is an enemy to sun. So, venus may feel safe purva phalguni, but not saturn.

Lets say, if saturn has an option to visit Leo, he has the 3 destinations. Magha can be compared to a high security Prison; Purva phalguni can be compared to a hut without any safety; Uttara Phalguni(1st pada) can be compared to hell for saturn where he will be tortured 24/7..

Interesting write-up, Moksha Line , on the Sun nakshatra in Capricorn. Makes a lot of sense based on the way you put it.

In the end, it does seem that Saturn would indeed be more malefic/upset/uncomfortable if Sun is exalted...


I'm not sure the pada/nakshatra as this saturn in leo+sun in aries is happening in my Dasamsa, and my basic software doesn't show those degrees.

But the question could go for anything, say Saturn in Scorpio with Mars in Own sign/Aries.... it would aspect scorpio - so would that be strengthening Saturn?(landlord helping out) Or harming him?(like a mean landlord always watching/making life uncomfortable)

See, Saturn is not debilitated in Leo .. But in aries..

Sun is still Saturn's father. SO, if you know the stories, it will make much sense.. I guess saturn will do bad in scorpio and aries than in Leo..

If sun and saturn are aspecting each other or in conjunction, saturn woud feel much frustrated .. But I guess, it will be a little okay in sun's house.. Since sun is saturn's father afterall.. But that is not the case with mars.. So, the enemy house is not simply any enemy house.. We have to judge from the relationship between each planets..

I have a similiar placement. I have saturn in Leo in 9th house with rahu. Sun is exalted in aries in fifth house. Venus is exalted in pisces in 4th house.
I am really interested in knowing what would be the impact of Saturn and Sun in my life. I got separated from my father when I was 5 years old.
