Can you tell if Venus is somehow related with beautiful eyes ? Yes , genes are responsible for that too but I want to know this astrologically.

Hello Nupur,

Good venus usually represents beauty. If venus in your chart is connected to lagna or lagna is in nak of well placed venus, it is a marker for beauty and appearance. Such person has dark hair, sweet voice and large(also magnetic) eyes.

Aspects on lagna can also can't be ruled out. It also plays vital role in the appearance. For example, if sun aspect lagna face might be boney and forehead is usally large etc.

Please note that venus in general represent beauty of the native, even if it is not connected to lagna. If you see mills and boon poster, it is apt to describe a venusian man and a martian girl

Similarly, I sometime easily pick mars, sun and ketu influence in lagna. I will not deviate now, hope this helps.

I read somewhere that powerful sun and moon in the native's chart give large eyes. I don't know if it is true in all the people who has big eyes.

I don't know if Venus gives only large eyes, but it definitely gives "sparkling" eyes. My sister has Venus in lagna in its own nakshatra, lagna in the same Venus nakshatra and the first comment on her is about her charming eyes even if they aren't particularly large.

2nd and 12th houses are supposed to represent eyes (left and right? I get mixed up which side is which house) and having malefics there will give problems with the looks of eyes.

Regarding Hair, if we are talking only of head, shouldn't lagna represent this as per Kalapurusha's body parts? OTOH, hair is can also be part of skin (Saturn giving lots of body hair), then also it should be lagna since first house represents body part controlling touch?

I did not find any explicit planetary combination for good/bad hair. It all depend on planet associated with Lagna and lagna nak, IMO

Can you let me know where did you read that 2nd and 12th house represents left or right eye?

I agree. I don't know any specific mention for hair, but we can go by karakas and the body part responsible and propose a hypothesis. We can test it then on the charts.

I am trying to recall the relationship of eyes and houses on either side of lagna. I know the 2nd house-eyes relationship from Pt. Sanjay Rath audio lessons long time ago. But 2nd/12th house relationship to eyes I read in a Panchagam book in Telugu more than a decade ago. I am afraid I can't remember exact reference now.

I have Ketu in the 7th from AL and aspected by Mars; Saturn & Rahu - and I started seeing grey hair fro
age 21 itself. Now it has turned mostly white. As for genes - my Dad is still having a lot of black hair! - though he credits it to application of oil daily.

I have Exalted sun in aries in 10th house, cancer lagna. Sun in ketu nakshatra ashwini.
Sun is vargottama in my Navamsa, same house too. (my lagna also vargottama).
Venus exalted though retrograde and conjunct debilitated retrograde mercury in my 9th.
Saturn in my 5th.
Lagna nakshatra lord is Jupiter, is aspects ascendant in the 8th, debilitated but aspected from Saturn so cancelled debilitation I hear. It's in the nakshatra of moon (which is my cancer lagna...does that mean anything?)
Ketu in 4th.

Mars also in aries in 10th, nakshatra of Sun. Making a square aspect on my Ascendant.


....yet I have very thick hair, straight...though curls a bit if I let it grow longer.
But thick enough that it usually stands straight up of appears to "be "puffy" without any water or product in it.

But astrologers who see my chart sometimes say I should be going bald? I'm 27-28 soon and there isn't much a sign of that happening at the moment. Figure it would've by now, no?

Ascendant lord moon is in the 8th house, though receives good yoga's being between only benefics , so I've been told.

Same with my case too I have exalted Sun in 8th house and vargottama Sun in 1st House in navamsa.But I have not gone bald too I am 27 and I too have curly hair only when the length increase,maybe we both might lose it allof a sudden better to be careful
