I get to that state every night and i am able to effortlessly maintain it for 6-8 hours.

You mean during sleep but that does not count, you should be conscious of being in that state.
Anyway you seem to be going relatively faster to the higher state :D .

In a highly sleep deprived world of stress, "effortlessly maintain it for 6-8 hours..." wow, you are truly gifted!

Sudharshanji

I consider it as a big disadvantage because as you might be knowing, sleep, hunger and speech are considered antithetical to spiritual development. :( .
Nothing is free except God's Grace.

May be that is true for saadhaks that want to achieve by their own self effort...however for a sharanagathan who leaves even moksha to the Lords desire, Nammazhvar says is a state of "maarbilE kai vaiththu uRanga praapti".

For a normal person, 8 hours of sleep is good since it means either he does not share any ill feeling towards his enemies even if he has enemies or that he has no enemies. So either way it is good.

For a person who wants spiritual upliftment too this should be good since at least the feelings of hatred, vengeance etc are not there in him. So that could be the first step and he can always try to reduce the sleep duration on his own.

Sudarshan, you should probably elaborate on what you have written to make it clearer to all.

Hi:

It is surprising to note that not many threads on astrology and spirituality appear in the recent past as compared to those before.

I feel unhappy to note that articles of Astroboy who has been very active, sincere and devoted in his writings on astrology are no more to be seen. Hope he comes back soon. With all the quotes and references that he gave along with what he wrote, it made astrology all the more interesting even for people without any astrological skills. So also the interesting articles of Krishnagopal and Anupam are not to be seen. Without all these, the forum looks somewhat depleted.

Brilliant post, Anupam ji, and very nice to see you here, after such a long time.

This is really too much!! How can it be possible? I can't think of a technical reason for it happening. If you haven't posted something, how can it get posted?! By the way, Anupam ji did you see the movie 'OMG'? You must if you haven't. :D
anupam1968 wrote:Now this is miracle for me. I did not submit mine post but still it got submitted. I don't know how. May be technical reason but what kind of technical reason is it I really don't know. However, during last ,almost close to 6 years, it happened with me for the first time. People can give me so many reasons but........:):)

Anupam:

Happy to see you back and know about your experience.
Nice post, and since I havent had any such feeling, it is even hard to imagine but I can appreciate.
It is kundalini awakening but then you say something different too. Continue to share your experience for all.
Your jupiter dasa has certainly helped you to go higher. Nice explanation for mars venus combination.
In fact rahu along with guru helps guru further to get deeper spiritual insights. I have read that both rahu and ketu when with guru would help guru further.
Looking to hear more,

Dev,

Thanks for remembrance. I reduced writing because it is better to give a break on any subject :) Something new may come out.

And also, it is good to not fall in too much discussions which may lead into argumentation naturally! thus waste of energy.

Shri KN Rao ji said once, not to do astrology more time, forgetting career/family. i extend it to spirituality too!

Krishnagopal:

I agree we need break for each and every subject but if all interesting people take break at the same time, then the interest in astrology and spirituality will go away, the forum will have only one or two major contributors, giving 100 remedies for each individual   and asking them to change their gems. :D
Anupam's experience is very interesting.
Some gap is OK but it should not be too long :D .
Anyway quarrel cannot arise between spiritually higher people.

Thanks Yellow, but what I was meaning was when a person is spiritually higher up, he will not quarrel even if the other wants to, so in that sense I was saying Krishnagopal, Anupam are all higher up in the ladder, not me. May be you are also trying to climb up :D :D .

Anupam ji,

I agree with you completely. I felt something similar. There are many paths to God—and one should respect each and every path. Even Gita says that, though they brought up Gita only to mock the ritualistic path of worship. And then, I think it was wrong on their part to mock saints. Just because a few saints have been exposed as frauds doesn’t mean that all of them are like that. There are many genuine saints even now, I am sure. But in spite of all that, I liked the movie very much—maybe because it's about God.

Dev,

You are right, spiritual people should not react, even when provoked. Krishnagopal ji and Anupam ji definitely are very spiritual. I am trying to be spiritual, but only a little bit as I have my materialistic dreams to fulfill, too. 8)

I quarrel even today if I feel deep in my heart I am right but not on this forum. The reason is shadow boxing frustrate you too much and waste your energy. It is like someone punches you in the night and you retaliate in the morning :).It is better to argument face to face and that I have been doing till now. In nutshell Krishna ji is far better. :) That is the only lesson I learned here on this forum.

Anupamji,

I have read this too that if the 5th lord is not connected with any planet, then it is good for spirituality. I think the same applies for Jupiter. The beauty of your chart is Jupiter’s placement in the 10th house as 5th lord and that, too, without any affliction. That’s why you are so spiritual. Jupiter in the 10th house shows that your karma in this life is to grow spiritual. My 5th lord is with Jupiter, and that way neither the 5th lord is free from the influence of any planet, nor Jupiter is free, and so I won’t be able to free myself from this material attachment.

I am not sure why Jupiter is not giving you wealth because as 2nd lord in the 10th house it should be favourable in that regard. 5th house is also a house of wealth, and its period should give wealth. I wonder what the logic is for 5th lord being alone not giving wealth as Yogi Bhaskarananda said.

About Mercury getting you into writing, I guess it’s because Mercury is in Gemini, which is the sign representing writing, and then Mercury itself signifies writing. I took interest in writing in my Jupiter and Saturn sub-periods as they are the 3rd and 5th lord respectively in my chart and shows writing. Your Jupiter being the 5th lord maybe have given you the interest in writing now—the Mercury sub-sub period maybe also is indicating it as you said.

I guess being the 8th lord in the 8th house Mercury has brought changes in your life, always in its periods. My 8th lord in the 8th house period has changed me to some extent, too, I will not deny.

Anupamji,
How many may understand that. Large majority of the people may explain this as the desire of meeting with God but I know this is very far from truth. God has no importance here even a little bit. The outright desire is to meet with His beloved. Both want to unite to the core so that they will not separate ever. The union must be eternal not like the union of mortal husband and wife.
So does this mean God is just a concept, and when we realize our self, we get freedom from the cycle of birth and death?
From the bottom She is wailing and from the top He has had been shedding tears as a mad lover who has had been waiting for her since the very beginning but did not know what He was searching in this human body in this mortal world was nothing but a Mirage or the Illusion of this nature. The reality was always lying inside only He was ignorant or a big fool. This is mine conjunction of Mars-Venus Dev getting the aspect of full Moon in Saggittarius, the lord of 9th house.

But is this mortal world something different from your Inside and I would say a big 'No' from my side.
So does it mean that we can get the bliss of self-realization if we love someone deeply?

Anupam:

Your qualities are already known to me from your first few posts, you yourself have stated and the style of writing shows it all. Yes, you are outspoken and give out what you have to immediately keeping nothing inside, this is the quality I like. No backbite or hidden agenda,if all remain this way, world will be a lot more peaceful :D

Anupam ji,

If you do not mind can I have your details please, or better would be if you explain me your chart itself as i do not know astrology. But after reading all this, just for curiosity I am asking for your chart.
