Talking of kutis in mountains and Goa, I plan to have a summer resort in the Himalayas and a winter resort in Goa and another home by the sea in the US - if I can have the money - but not for the spiritual purpose. For all the role of Jupiter etc in my chart, I am ruled by Venus!

Saturn actually gives best results in 6th house - if only it's not combust. The problem in my chart is that Saturn's combustion in 6th house has enhanced the problems of 6th house. If only it was not combust, it would have controlled the negative effects of 6th house. And yes, an afflicted Lagna can cause illnesses, though Venus protects my Lagna by 7th aspect and because of this, asthma is the only health problem I have. I never fall ill otherwise - not even with viral.

As for you meeting your father's Guru, Rahu's period is not ideal for meeting Gurus, especially not if you are also running Venus at the same time. So I don't think he will be your spiritual Guru. You may have got impressed by him for a short while, but you'll not accept him as your spiritual Guru. Your chart in any case doesn't allow you to follow anyone as I said.

Yes, this is also the reason I am showing these charts. See also the 1st chart of Sagittarius Lagna with Kala Sarpa Dosha, who got promotion in Rahu-Saturn-Rahu.

The only feature I can see in this last person's chart with Ketu exalted in Lagna, that may have contributed to a wait for promotion is that he has a slight Kemadrum Yoga, although Moon's exaltation in Vipareet Raja Yoga and the two Mahapurusha Yogas in Kendra counter it effectively and he does have a lot of money.

As for having super-success, yes this last chart person has attained high level success at a young age - even in mid-late 40s he has been the policy maker for the World Bank and on advisory committees for the Government of India etc.

As far as I know, he doesn't have any problems in life. He has quite a smooth life.

But he doesn't have as many publications as the first chart person has. The first person is more of a well-known scholar in his own field, while this last person is more of a policy-advisor rather than a research-scholar in his own field, although both hold prestigious academic positions.

In their own ways, they both are super-successes.

These charts show that we should not get too obsessed with Astrology. We should take rational decisions and try to advance ourselves as much as possible, regardless of our charts, Mahadasha running and transits.

Will this be benefic for my chart?
(-) Since yesterday I am have painful toothache. It had disappeared for some days in between but again re-surfaced. Last night I couldn't sleep.
(+)Am on an extreme diet - only having bananas, coffee/tea and water. Lost already around 5 kilos. BP almost normal (it's now on the borderline normal).

Thanks for telling me more about the person. If he has achieved super-success in life, then definitely the chart makes sense to a great extent, though not totally. Coming to the other charts, I haven’t checked them yet as I was a little busy—listening to romantic songs and reading a gripping Agatha Christie novel and of course reading the extra tidbits on Big Boss show from its website—I being a big fan of that show!

Can you believe it that I am now planning to use the alarm clock to wake up at 8 am! I don’t know if this has something to do with Saturn in transit in my ascendant—Saturn makes one lazy, I have heard—or it is to do with Mars in the house of flowers (12th house) in my chart, or due to my running the sub-period of 12th lord, Mercury (12th house being the house of sleep)—you can tell better.

I will check the other chart, which you have talked about. Definitely one should not be obsessed about his own chart. As I said before, I am more into spirituality these days than astrology, so the planets and their tantrums are over sighted by me since some time—‘cheating the stars’ as the popular phrase for this goes.

I know you believe in practicality. Your Mars in ascendant won't let you sit and read. It's nice to know that you will stay in a kuti sometimes, and enjoy being in the lap of nature. With a weak Mars, I am not a lover of travelling and not an active person. I am quite lazy, if you ask me, so even if I join some ashram, I will make sure it is near my home, where I can go everyday to do satsang. My spiritual journey has started, anyway as I do think from a spiritual perspective sometimes even now. Let's see how far it progresses in this life.

With my 9th lord in the 9th house, Jupiter aspecting the 5th house and conjunct 5th lord, I will definitely grow more spiritual with time, but Venus in own sign as ascendant lord will bring some obstacles in the way as it is happening now. Another point is that the material success that I will have in the next two major periods of Sun and Moon, with Sun as 11th lord in the 9th house, and Moon as 10th lord in the 10th house, won't give me the chance to walk on that path that much.

About the first chart, you have posted:

I have always noticed that when a chart has 9-10 combination it gives huge success. It is there in this chart and in the 11th house with 11th lord. So it shows huge success for him.

8th lord in the ascendant, ascendant lord debilitated, though it gets neechbhanga yoga, and 2nd lord Saturn getting afflicted by Ketu, shows the struggle he faced initially in making his career.

He has some very good wealth yogas:

1. Ascendant lord in the 2nd house with 2nd lord.
2. 9th lord in the 11th house with 11th lord

5th lord being in the 12th house shows his going abroad for doing education.

He didn’t have a love marriage because there is no 5-7 connection in his chart.

He got married in a wealthy family and that helped him in his career because his 7th lord of marriage, Mercury, which is also his 10th lord, is with 11th lord Venus and 9th lord Sun in the 11th house.

About KSY, as per K.N. Rao it is not mentioned in any astrological classic, so it is not to be considered when seeing a chart.

It is surprising that he got success in the Rahu-Saturn-Rahu period, but if he is in the research field, then his success in this period makes sense. Saturn as the 2nd lord in the 2nd house is capable of giving promotion and wealth.

1) Yes, it is beneficial. Keep on applying for jobs.

You belong to the first category of people, whose Saturn is powerful and you should get the benefits of exalted Saturn now.

2) Go to the dentist.

3) Have hot milk with chocolate Horlicks, Complan or Bournvita one glass in the morning and one in the night before going to sleep.

Take salads made of fresh chopped vegetables.

You can also dice some fruits, mix with rock salt (Sendha Namak) and have as fruit chat.

4) No, Neelam won't be good. I said earlier, take off diamond and wear yellow sapphire 2.7 carats set in gold (3 rattis).

Yellow sapphire will help Jupiter to control your Rahu in Scorpio in current transit. Neelam may increase your tooth problem.

If you have a strong instinct to wear Neelam, test it under your pillow for 3 days and if you don't get bad dreams, soak it overnight in milk mixed with a pinch of turmeric powder, wash in clear water in the morning and wear on any Saturday.

See for a while what kind of effects it has. If tooth problems or health problems increase or of you get a minor injury or suffer financial loss, take it off immediately.

Saturn in 6th is usually good, unless afflicted or combust and especially in an enemy sign. Mine is also aspected by a powerful Jupiter.

The trouble with the business of real estate in the mountains is that legally, plains people are not allowed to buy a house in the mountains. And with Rahu Mahadasha running, you should not get into illegal business. You never know what will happen.

Well, if you want to do some high-quality noble kind of business in the Himalayas tell me. I can give you some ideas.

Only some of my keys were not working, which I was supplementing with the on-screen keys. Complete on-screen typing is impossible for me. My troubles with the laptop began when Rahu moved into Scorpio and I have had to spend quite a lot of money repairing it.

Kala Sarpa does have effect, even if it's not mentioned in classics. You can see here - his Kala Sara Dosha encircles his 2-8 axis and he had problems related to 2nd house i.e., related to marriage.

Rahu is not giving the effect of 8th - it is Rahu's enemy sign. He is in research, writing and teaching. Mercury signifies it partly, but Jupiter is debilitated - it is 2nd house that has got Neecha Bhanga, not Jupiter. 9th lord Sun is debilitated in 11th, though Venus and Mercury counter it. This gives wealth, but not fame.

His Rahu Mahadasha is certainly better than his Mars Mahadasha was in materialistic terms.

He has now accepted his marriage, but he was not happy getting into this marriage - it was almost forced upon him by his relatives and parents.

The other chart is certainly better than this one, but in the end, both have reached the same level of progress in job - one getting academic fame, eventhough I don't see where fame is coming from in his chart and that too in Rahu Mahadasha and promotion in Rahu-Saturn-Rahu. The other person has got recognition outside India in policy-making, but not much of academic fame, eventhough he has Hansa Yoga and Bhadra Yoga.

This is why I said we shouldn't get obsessed with Astrology.

Rahu will be benefic in Lagna from 12th Jan onwards, Ketu in your 7th house. So there is no need to worry about Rahu. Wear white sandalwood necklace for Rahu.

You may get married in any minor period of Mars in Jupiter Mahadasha. Wear yellow sapphire 4.5 carats set in gold and join that job.

Actually i am going through the pre joining procedures like medical test and document submission before joining and i have been unemployed and financially distressed for long long time so i am dying to join the job .

And i have lost all interest in marriage , no intention to marry atleast next 50 yrs . I have seen the ill effects of 2/12 placement in my previous antardasa of Ju and Ke . And Ma is also in 2/12 with Ju . No wonder how beautiful that marriage is going to be for me !

And again the next dasa will be of Ra ( i mean Ju-Ra ) , which is a malefic and exalted and placed in 8th .

Actually i was more worried about my physical condition and if operation is possible !

Actually i was shy to tell this but pls pardon me .
About 8 yrs back , one morning in bathroom while urinating , i sneezed very loudly a few times and felt jerk in lower abdomen very badly . for three days i could hardly walk because i had severe pain in lower abdomen .After that for a few days there was blood in urine . I never told this to anybody nor did i visit doctor . I searched internet and there i found that this could be a normal case with atheletes i they pull some nerve during heavy exercise and can get cured through 2 weeks rest . I rested for about 18 days and it was gone .

Again 4 yrs back , i exercised a little and suddenly felt the jerk again and same thing repeated . And sometimes the pain is still lower down . Don't know if some nerve is ruptured maybe .

And again with start of Ve antardasa which is 8th L along with LL , i suddenly started feeling the same pain again .

That's the main reason i keep asking about my 5th H and saptamsa chart also ( which is a complete wreck ) and i am also worried whether i will have to undergo any operation .

I hope you understand why i am worried and pls pardon me as i am discussing such issue here .
