Ishta devata has nothing to do with lagna...But the atma karaka....Your lagna falls in sagittarius 29d.23m.36.04s
with the settings i use.

Dear Ramana sir,
asked for the (right) lagna so I can see in D20 12th from Atmkarka. In 5 mins difference my Lagna changes. So in Sagittarius Asc, 12th from AK is 7 number with Mars in it and from Capricorn lagna in D20 its number 9, 12th of AK.
I always wondered about my right acendent as somebody said its capricorn and others its sagitarius.

may I ask how did you come to conclusion that Maha Laxmi for all purpose? just for educational purpose.
Is it because in D20 chart 12th of AK is libra sign OR because Venus exalted in 4th house in birth chart?

Dear Vijayalakshmi ji,

The devata you need to propitiate/pray to is represented by Mars....The devatas can be Hanuman ji, Lord Narasimha or Karthikeya [son of lord shiva]...Among these three try and start worshipping the one with whom you have the most affinity...

Since jupiter is exalted as the lagna lord in the fifth house in vimsamsa..Mantra sadhana will suit you the most.
So you can start with slokas and mantras and also add mouna vrath slowly to your sadhana.
