My opinion of your Rahu maha Dasha is that you will be tested in the coming Antar Dashas of sun, moon ,mars.
These 3 planets ( Sun , Moon , Mars) aspect Rahu , apart from Venus, Mercury.

Better Pray Lord Kala Bhairava as these 3 antar dashas ( Sun , Moon , Mars) starting from October 2013 to February 2017 will be stressful.

I am also thinking like that. But if I analyse my Rahu Dasha, so far it is really excellent. So I am in a doubt whether the same trend will continue or I will end up in a different way. Also ,2 round of 7.5 years Saturn also starts from Oct 2013.

You certainly have a unique chart.

Your Rahu is benefic and I am surprised you are in India. You should be abroad. Your Rahu is exalted in 12th house of foreign travel.

Karthik is right - Rahu-Sun from 14th Aug 2013 may not be too good. Rahu-Sun is usually not good for most people, especially in your case Sun aspects Rahu.

However, Jupiter protects your Lagna and Saturn protects your 7th house.

As for your IIM programme, I feel it should be alright. Rahu-Sun may be bad, so the 2nd year of the program may be troublesome. But Jupiter will safely bring you out of trouble.

Rahu is trying to give you this management degree. Sun may cause problems in 2nd year, but you'll finish it safely.

So, wear a yellow sapphire 4.5 carats set in gold and see if you can go abroad after IIM.

Offer water to the rising Sun daily and recite Gayatri Mantra 108 times and any hymn for Saraswati daily.

Yesterday i typed this post twice , and couldnt go through. My third attempt.

I am in Rahu-Mars period. I too got job, wife, son, money , house, car etc in Rahu MD. In my childhood, i could never even dream of owning a two-wheeler forget about car. And all that happened before Rahu- Sun.

Rahu - Sun :- A good job, actually a very good started showning signs of bad times to come.
Made few mistakes.
One thing led to another, now i am job less since last one year and going to be penny less in next few weeks!!

Just be aware, do not be over confident, save something for rainy day, take less loans, do not stretch your luck, and pray and definately enjoy life.

I also forecast that Rahu-Sun is going to be challenging. However, since jupiter transits to Mithuna rasi during May 2013 , aspects (5th Dristi) Rahu /Saturn which are in Libra and also aspects (9th Dristi) Pises which is my Bhagystana. I guess Jupiter MAY soothen the impact of Rahu-Sun dasha to some extent. Saindhvi ji lso mentions that at the end of the day Jupiter may bail me out.


Although Saturn Transit is not the focus of the present topic, to analyse the chart in totality we also need to consider second phase of 7.5 years of Sade Sati which starts from Oct 2014 (aprox.) by the time Rahu-Moon will also starts. I am guessing this period will be like double typhoid with Jaundice or Heart attack with Kidney failure situation as Dasa-Bhukti period was bad and also Sade Sati operates, Lagna Lord may not bear the severe jolting. However, again Jupiter transits to Cancer (Lagna) and aspects Scorpio (5th house) and also Aries ( 10th house ) may act as a saviour ( I guess) till May 2015 by the time I complete this course.

Jolliji- Keeping the upcoming Rahu- Sun/Moon/Mars dasha, I took smart move of leaving US Based MNC and joined TATA group couple of months back. Everyone was surprised why I left an Internationally reputed Aerospace Major and joined TATA group.I hold phd from IIT Kharagpur and maintaining good relationships , so I do not see any issue with job.

However, 12th house also associate with losses, even in the worst case scenario of job loss/some mis alignment, I can always join as faculty in a professional college, but the main draw is pay check becomes half. I planned all these scenarios and taking steps by becoming as pious as possible, regular charity, poojas etc.

I guess this phase will hit my health as all the antardasha palnets are in 6th house and I am crossing 50 years

I am not a professional astrologer, infact got interest in Astrology during Rahu Dasha only.

In my D10, Jupiter occupies 10th house ( Career) , however Rahu/Sun are together in Sagittarius (6th house). I am not able to interpret the impact of this combination.

My Rahu is in 4th, Moon 6th, Sun 12th and Mars in 9th.
I cant re collect any health problems in Rahu -Moon. But yes i was hospitalised for a day as diagnosis required it. (Endoscopy). In the end however all was well.

My job loss camein Rahu-Mars. Mars being in 9th is 12th to 10th house of occupation. Thats the only fitting explanation i could scourge from net. barbra peejan lama website.

Rahu-Moon could give lots of anxiousness and all. My drinking habit really went out of control. Though i never passed out, but frequency and amount of intake increased.

I also changed job in Rahu -Moon. I cant comment on the Job change decision as i am yet to fell if it was for good or bad. But i guess you are on right track.

Once you are lill bit aware of what to expect, the shock is not that much more. However some times these things get stuck and you mind is in uneccessary wories. Hence i would like you to be aware n alert but not worriesome.

Reducing weight through diet control n moderate excercise will help. take a long term target of 2 or 3 years.

You can recite a combination of Devi Suktam from Rig Veda, Durga Suktam and Kunjika Stotram - all of them short hymns.

In addition, you can fast on the Ashtami and pray to Goddess Durga, not eating solid food till sunset and eating veg food without grains after Sunset only once.

In Geocentric setting which I am using, your Mars Mahadasha will finish on 2nd Dec 2013.

Your Mars is in transition zone, Rahu-Ketu malefic in 1-7 axis and Saturn both retrograde and malefic in the Ascendant.

Ascendant lord Sun is in 8th, which is not a good place for Ascendant Lord to be in and Venus is conjunct with Ketu. Jupiter is exalted in 12th, which doesn't help much, except that it will give you foreign travel.

Your headache is caused by Rahu + retro Saturn in Ascendant. This is not a good placement.

These are the main problems in your chart.

Rahu being malefic, may not give benefic results in its Mahadasha.

Remedies -

• Wear white sandalwood necklace.
  
  Wear opal 9 carats set in gold or silver on ring finger on a Friday morning after Sunrise.
  
  Do regular charity for poor, handicapped and orphans.

Your Rahu Mahadasha would have been very good and taken you to great heights, if only Sun in 7th hadn't aspected your Rahu.

Mars exalted in 8th is also not good for your health, career and general wellbeing. Mars also makes you a Mangalik. Hence, Rahu-Mars may not be good.

Remedies -

• Get a Durga Saptashati recital done this Durga Puja and after this during every 2 Navaratris i.e., before Rama Navami and during Durga Puja.
  
  Offer water to the rising Sun and recite Gayatri mantra 108 times, Hanuman Chalisa and any hymns for Vishnu-Lakshmi.
  
  Fast every Shukla Paksha Ashtami and pray to Goddess Durga this day.

You have Guru-Chandal Yoga (Rahu-Jupiter conjunction) in 5th house. In this combination, Jupiter gets tainted with Rahu's negative energy.

5th house rules the romantic and intellectual processes and hence, the problems you have described. This is complicated by malefic Saturn in Ascendant with enemy Sun. This has led to hospitalisation and enemy Sun.

Mars position makes you a Mangalik.

You should go for administrative or managerial positions, as science combinations are not good.

I don't believe in transition phase between Mahadasha changes, but in your case, Guru Chandal Yoga may give problems in Jupiter-Jupiter period and malefic Saturn may give problems in Jupiter-Saturn period.

See if you can wear a white sandalwood necklace and yellow sapphire 4.5 carats set in gold.

Donate red coloured objects on Tuesdays, or blood once a year if possible.

My details are below:

DOB: 18.11.1987

Corrected TOB (corrected to India local time zone as per reading) :7: 25 am

As per my charts, I have been in Rahu MD from 25th March 1995, and am now in Rahu MD-Mars AD.
The effect of Rahu MD has been extensive and painful in my life thus far. I was very sick from around 1995 to 1999 with repeated hospitalizations for near-fatal pancreas disease. My father was an alcoholic who drank a lot and a lot of issues with the authorities came into play in the years till his death. From 2000 onwards , I became depressed. In 2003 to 2004, I began to lose concentration in my studies, which I worked hard to regain. (Although I haven't used any of the remedies). In 2005, my depression and anxiety increased to the point of hospitalization - 4 times in the 3 years from 2005 to 2008. I lost many friends, became lonely, got into 3 bad relationships one after the other, succumbed to material temptations. However, I was also performing well on-and-off in my studies, and overall was at the topper level. In 2010, I got admission to a prestigious university for a PhD abroad. However, I was unable to concentrate , and struggled with depression, loneliness,interpersonal conflict with friends and family, risky behaviour , numerous health problems (respiratory infections, stomach problems, skin infections) and quit the PhD in 6 months. I returned back home to search for a job and was jobless for 1.5 years. I have just got a job which is not in my field, and which I am very over qualified for, and am hence not happy. I am struggling to find my career path, and I am unable to think clearly since last 3-4 years, and am indecisive. I also feel that my partner is pulling me down in life, as I am lowering my abilities in order to stay blindly in the relationship. I have also lost energy and vitality, and find myself falling sick every few days and losing faith in life.

I have only 2 questions:
1) My charts say I will move out of Rahu MD into Jupiter MD in March 2013. How soon after that will the effects of Rahu diminish, and that of Jupiter take over to improve my circumstances.? Is there anything I should do during the transition to keep things smooth-flowing?
2) What is my ideal career path (even a general direction will do, as right now I am stuck with one foot in the scientific field and the other in the corporate business environment, and I don't know what steps to take to progress in my career)?

Any help would be appreciated. Please also suggest remedies I can follow to help me through the last few months of my Rahu MD.

Dude, dont worry you'll be fine....i am seeing that almost everyone going through Rahu mahadasha has similar experiences as you mentioned you have had at least some job in the last 1.6 yrs, indicates that the sandhi effects have started for your and your jupiter dasha will be good or at least better that rahu mahadasha. the reason i can say this is i have exactly the same start point 1996 for rahu mahadasha and just got a job and every thing is stabilizing since last 3-4 months of this year. my jupiter dasha starts in march 2014... so in a way we have similar track and i'm lagging you by 1 year, let me know how things fare out for you
in case you are planning to getting to married, delay it till late 2013 or later

So if a person is born in Rahu Nk, won't Rahu be beneficial for that person even if Rahu is malefic by placement in the chart?

Nakshatra modifies the effect of zodiac sign and house placement.

Thus, a person born with malefic Rahu in his own Nakshatra (say Rahu in Libra in 8th house in Swati Nakshatra) will have somewhat less troubles during Rahu Mahadasha than a person born with Rahu in Libra 8th house Chitra Nakshatra - but both will face troubles - only degree of troubles will be different.

Of course, other planets and the overall strength of the chart will also count.

I have yesterday registered to this post. I am undergoing Rahu Mahadasha since 2000 probably. many setbacks in education, professional life, relationships, diseases like piles,typhoid, skin diseases. still about 6 years are still be passed for it to end. (it Lasts for about 18 years)

I am currently under Rahu MD & Venus AD, still to follow are Sun,Moon & Mars AD, All are inimical to Rahu.

My opinion of your chart is that Rahu with Moon aspected By sun makes Rahu Maha Dasha very stressful.

In Navamsa chart Rahu is with sun in 11th house. So Rahu has become Malefic. It is the worst placement for Rahu as well as Sun.

Even i have experienced Rahu Maha dasha . It gives setbacks when aspected by Sun or Moon.

Sun and Moon are Rahu's worst enemies.

My advise is to pray Lord Kala Bhairav to mitigate the bad effects of Rahu as coming dashas will be still more stressful.
